First and foremost, the user interface is extremely user friendly and easy to pick up which is something I haven't been able to say for any of the time tracking tools I have used in the past. It's very clear to see a holistic view of your time period and all of the assignments you charged your time to. It's difficult to see how much PTO or Vacation I have used. I would love to see that metric available always. In order to find that info, I have to run a report and manually calculate how much time I have charged to those categories. Unanet allows us to manage project and company budgets in real time and in one system. We switched from Quickbooks to Unanet in 2020 and were able to eliminate 3 other software solutions we were using as well because Unanet incorporated those functions. It is set up to ensure we comply with government contracting requirements, and at the same time allows us to plan our team's time, engage in company financial forecasting, and manage processing of vendor and client invoices. It has many features we haven't even started using yet, and they are continuously rolling out updates and improvements. We purchased their onboarding package which meant we had a dedicated Unanet support person to walk us through the setup and customization of the system and we had a great experience with the person we worked with. There are a lot of things that I do not use or know what they are for. It is a challenge to find exactly what that role or field may do and to improve, it would be nice to have like a quick help link or something around fields to show what the purpose is. Some fields have this, but not most. For example, when generating an invoice, the from date tells you that it is only to show the date on the invoice and nothing else, which is helpful and would be nice if everything had a quick tip or explanation like that. What I like best about Unanet GOVCON is its ease of use and straightforward implementation, which makes it accessible for our team. Additionally, its ability to standardize project management processes through the use of plan sets, assignments, and standardized reports allows us to manage multiple projects and contracts consistently, significantly enhancing our operational efficiency. What I like least about Unanet GOVCON is the difficulty in personalizing standard reports to fit specific needs. Additionally, the slow pace at which new features and fixes are rolled out can be frustrating, as it hampers our ability to quickly adapt and improve our processes. Not Small Business friendly. The transition to Unanet was an absolute nightmare. The implementation was not easy at all. In fact, it was horrendous. The consultant assigned to us did a very poor job. It took 3 months for us to get a replacement and we had to redo a lot off the initial configuration. As a result, it took us a full year to work out our accounts and properly ailgn historical QuickBooks data to Unanet and get accurate financial reporting. The company was callous towards our concerns. Their attitude, was pretty much to tell us to deal with it. Unanet did not refund any money for the very poor consulant.

I would like to have the option to print my 1099's straight from Unanet GovCon. Last year I had to use an outside service to print and I would like my ERP to have that functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Unanet development has continued to evolve over the ten years we have been a client. From project management and time/expense reporting over ten years ago to our recent conversion from our previous general ledger to Unanet Financials, we have grown as a company while using the Unanet platform. The ad hoc reporting and Analytics is not as user friendly as it could be. The created reports are fine and get us what we need. I've heard "custom" reports are in the process of being developed to be put on the new Marketplace. I'm excited to see what these reports are and if we can add these to our reports portfolio. Support has been phenomenal. All have been extremely helpful and responded quickly. Offering zoom calls allowed to resolve questions in shorter periods of time. Calendly is a huge plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

. Income statement trending - I wish I could filter the report by project / customer / vendor.

2. Report writing should be more user-friendly. Instead, it is very complex and not always helpful. Seems like the reporting feature is available base on license level. We were told to use JSR and no one likes it.

3. GL does not connect a person’s name and his/her company name to keep track of who bills the time and who we pay. Unnecessary time spent on reconciliations.

4. Adding / removing reports from dashboard is clunky. I wish I could post reports to people’s dashboards. Now I must have their login to do so.

5. I would like to organize my dashboard. Now all my saved reports is a long list to the left that I have to scroll through. Middle occupied by POs which we do not sue and approvals that do not require as much space.

6. Memorized AP and AR reports have aging date on the day they were saved. Have to update every time even though I selected “today” as filter

7. Cannot drill into figures on balance sheet.

8. Can delete unpaid customer invoice. Cannot for some reason delete unpaid vendor invoice.

9. Would be geart to see pivot functionality

10. List button is sometimes at teh top and bottom and sometimes only in one place

I haven’t really come across any major downsides with Unanet so far, but I’ve only been using it for about 10 months. The system’s been reliable and easy to use the whole time, meeting all my expectations. Sure, using it longer might show some areas where it could improve, but up until now, my experience has been really positive. GovCon is extremely user friendly compared to previous comparable systems we have used before. Many features can be figured out with some intution, and updates take place in real time rather than waiting on an export or import function to occur.
