I have opened of a blog site on TypePad in 2013 because I had an interest to become a college fashion blogger. I can personally say there are pros and cons to this platform. In simply terms, these are the pros: easy to use, pretty good customer service, easy setup and buying of custom domain, anyone can use it even people that don't have technical knowledge or skills. With all the pros being said, I think there are better platforms out there now that blogging and being an influencer is very common nowadays and everyone has been wanting to get into it. I also do believe that there is no differentiating factor that makes TypePad stand out - there aren't a ton of advanced features. Here are the key cons in my opinion: small number of plug-ins and features,inflexible pricing, outdated and not the best for advanced users. This is the biggest for me: you dont own your own property. I ended up getting rid of my TypePad blog in 2015. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. It is one of the easiest to use blogging tools, but it is deceptively powerful. You can make TypePad into a website building platform as well as a blogging platform with ease. The design editor is still to this day one of the best ways to quickly change layout, formatting and the UI of a website without one line of code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Typepad? The same design editor I like is also the biggest limitation of TypePad. The themes are not as flexible as you'd like and not nearly as functional as WordPress themes. There are also no easy ways to create menu bars that are hierarchical. They have withstood a major DDoS attack in 2014 and are now setup to withstand future DDoS attacks.
