It is generally easy to set up and use straight away for simple POC or general use cases. But it does have intensive configurations for different needs as well. And more importantly, their gateway is open source, and you can know what they are doing. They do integrate with open source tools like jager, zipkin for tracing. Documentation wasn't their strong point, but it is improving now. Tyk Dashboard provides only simple analytics reporting; you need to pump the information into other tools to get more info about your APIs.
