When using Twitter API it helped us be able to analyze not only our own tweets, but other tweets and help us generate content on social that helped grow our brand. One of the things I like best about Twitter API is it's connection with Java and Ruby. Twitter API lets you access data without knowing Java as well so you can get a JSON read by your computer so any employee is able to use Twitter API. I like how you can use third party apps to check on twitter activity and bot checks. I like the ability to retrieve data the best .I feel it works seamlessly and I have the least amount of difficulties with that command. The upside of using Twitter API is it is user friendly and has tons of add-ons and is malleable for other apps. The data extraction is my most useful tool. I need to keep an eye on twitter and see how the account is growing and track influences that we have followed and received a followback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Twitter API? What I dislike about Twitter API is that you need to go through several steps to plugin to word press. Also with Twitter API you can match secure data through API's and Twitter already was vulnerable to that attack. API also still has limitations like cap on account follows and characters. I also dislike responding to Tweets using Twurl. Also when you use Twurl as an endpoint you can create Twitter bots and they are easily replicable by others to mirror you. I also dislike that Twitter API phases out alot of extras so you never know if your old tools and addons, plug ins etc will be phased out and when. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Twitter API solving and how is that benefiting you? I am solving scheduling issues, live-tweeting for recurring instances and extracting data for analyzation. Twitter API we also have used for customer contact. I don't particularly like to use it for customer contact because you can't get complicated in responses however it does give instant satisfaction to the consumer. I would definitely recommend that Twitter API is made available for multiple platforms. It is often difficult to access on mobile and it is hard to have multiple administrators using it. It is easy to implement automation and as a result making bots! It makes it easy to manage followers, tweets, etc. the application process is also seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Twitter API? I still am not sure how well security threats are handled to user accounts. Also, there are many twitter libraries to choose from and sometimes it’s hard to know what is better for what. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Twitter API solving and how is that benefiting you? I use the twitter analysis to gain access of trends and measurement of those trends of the public. Specifically, trends of topics towards any trending topics concerning public health. A big positive that Twitter api in general has for us is that tweets can become images or screenshots by retweeting any tweet with the comment "@aissistant #image" to get an image.
