"Best app for topical chat threads"

What do you like best about Twist?

Easily able to maintain multiple chat threads with the same people, without getting confused between subjects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Notifications sometimes lag on my Samsung Galaxy 8, but I can easily fix that by utilizing email notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Twist solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's usually quite hard to maintain clear conversations when you communicate with your colleagues via chat. With Twist, I can keep up with all of the conversations. In some projects, I'll share as many as twenty - thirty separate chat threads with just a single colleague. Twist let's me keep that all organized and easily retrievable. What do you like best about Twist?

Twist is a tool that facilitates communication within the organization. The conversations are structured and there is no way to get lost in the topics. Its interface is intuitive and lightweight, it is an easy to set up.

I would say that chat is the core of Twist. This optimized for sharing files and manage communications successfully. In addition, the connection with a wide range of third-party software, enhances its functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Twist?

What I like the best about Twist is how clean the UI is, it's beautiful, and the conversations are readable as well as the notifications not being annoying like in Slack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Twist?

What I dislike about Twist is that they don't have a lot of third part intergraded tools like, Github, Google Meets, Asana, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Unfortunately, Twist does not have a lot of third party integrations as well as customization, however, the UI is beautiful along with the system of thread messaging, better organized than in Slack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Twist solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem that we where solving with Twist was, conversations were happening in Slack, however, there was a lot of notifications and we had to manually pause notifications, it was annoying with all our members, the UI was also not settling, there was a lot of happening at once. What do you like best about Twist?

The standard notification settings are very well organized, I get notified for each new message, and even if I don't check the message in that moment, it still gets left "unread". It is very easy to keep track of what has been said in conversations since I last looked at the app. It somehow manages to work well for instant messaging as well as messaging that does not need to be addressed right away. I have not found an app before this one that has been able to do that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Twist?

Sometimes it's difficult to discern the purpose of having a separate channel vs just starting a new thread. We have channels set for certain topics but it almost seems not necessary when we can just start a new thread with the appropriate people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Twist solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have been able to more effectively communicate, with messages getting to the appropriate people in a reasonable amount of time. On other apps that we had used before, a message would be sent, and because of complicated notification settings, it would get lost in the shuffle. And in previous apps, if you wanted to see what you missed, you would have to do a lot of scrolling back.

With Twist, the app keeps track of what you've read and what you haven't, so you don't miss what needs to be read/ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Twist?

Twist is based around threads which is great. It really helps keeps conversations focused and on task. No other software has thread support quite like Twist. If your team is looking for the best thread support than Twist is a good choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Twist?

The lack of regular chat channel options. I wish we could have a few open chat channels similar to Slack within Twist.

The problem is that sometimes you have small conversations or topics that don't require or fit into any other thread. These kinds of things get lost or never brought up. For this reason, our team ditched Twist and went back to Slack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Twist solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps team members who are working remotely and on a different time zone as other team members. Sometimes I would check in 7 hours after a conversation went on.
