## TweetDeck Reviews
  ### 1. TweetDeck: Useful Until It's Not

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sydney M. | Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2022

**What do you like best about TweetDeck?**

TweetDeck is great when you have multiple accounts to manage, and it's convenient to have that all at one access point rather than logging in and out of each individual account.

**What do you dislike about TweetDeck?**

It's often slow, and I've had tweets fail to send or post properly or on time. Twitter has made it even more difficult since enforcing their two-factor authentication; the previous employee who managed our Twitter accounts had their personal email/phone number as the source to send TFA codes to in order to sign in, and Twitter dubs the account suspicious when I try to change the TFA address to one used by an actual, current employee. When this happens, TweetDeck is rendered useless and inaccessible because users are then locked out because of "suspicious activity."

**What problems is TweetDeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TweetDeck is mainly utilized when the company has more than one Twitter account to post on. Due to the aforementioned TFA problems, though, it's been largely ineffective and inaccessible. At this point, I am considering simply consolidating our different business Twitter accounts onto one main one in order to keep from getting locked out every time I try to get into the others. This is more of a Twitter problem than a TweetDeck one, but still aggravating to deal with all the same.

  ### 2. the best tweet for twitter

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2019

**What do you like best about TweetDeck?**

One thing about TweetDeck is not everyone knows what it’s capable of doing. TweetDeck takes using of Twitter to all new level, and since the time of discovering the platform, I use it more often and it’s mostly just for one particular feature which all other Twitter apps just don’t offer.
This is a really powerful tool to manage multiple views for your Twitter account(s). Indeed, it allows you to define multiple columns with search terms, lists, followers, activities, or a lot of other types available. TweetDeck allows you to have a quick view of all your needed information concerning your Twitter account. It’s both great for professionals that want to follow multiple terms concerning their brand and also for personal use in order to follow multiple activities about your interests.

**What do you dislike about TweetDeck?**

Users who gave TweetDeck a negative review complained about the “Twitter-only” limitation of the app, which forces them to use multiple social media management platforms for their other social media accounts. They also complained about the absence of multi-language support.

**What problems is TweetDeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is the only platform that lets me schedule tweet on Twitter, TweetDeck just gets the job done easily and no Official Twitter App can do this as at now. It’s really helpful and incredible to use.

  ### 3. Popular, user friendly social media management platform if you're a twitter user!

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2019

**What do you like best about TweetDeck?**

It boasts a lot of functions, is not a desktop-only application, and can be installed as a desktop app for both Windows and PC. Great if you want to step up your social media game. Can help you stay organized and lets you schedule a post to be published later and it's free

**What do you dislike about TweetDeck?**

It's twitter exclusive! It can only integrate with the social media network Twitter. It did have Facebook, MySpace, and LinkedIn support at one point, it dropped them in updates during the years following Twitter’s acquisition of the company.

**What problems is TweetDeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps you stay organized and look professional.

  ### 4. Good Free Tool

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faith B. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2018

**What do you like best about TweetDeck?**

It was a nice tool to use for scheduling tweets before I switched to a paid platform that allowed me to schedule out farther in advance and more flexibility (will discuss below). I like that it allowed for a lot of different decks to be visible at once, so I could follow several different hashtags and conversations from one centralized location.

**What do you dislike about TweetDeck?**

I think the flexibility and functionality can be improved. If I set a tweet to be sent out on Friday at 5pm, then I cannot switch the time. I have to fully delete the tweet and remake it. The Buffer integration on Tweet Deck also leaves something to be desired...I first tried out Tweet Deck in 2015, and almost three years later, it seems nothing has really been done to improve the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering TweetDeck:**

If you really are just wanting to test out the waters with Twitter, Tweet Deck could be a good option at first. If you're seriously wanting to use Twitter as a tool for business, you're better off going with a paid subscription from one of the many social media planning platforms out there and using that to your ability. If you are not patient, avoid Tweet Deck entirely.

**What problems is TweetDeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I was using the free version of Buffer, I could only schedule 10 tweets at a time. Tweet Deck solved the problem of posting more tweets for periods of time like holidays and weekends when I didn't want to be working. Because of the lack of capabilities, though, switching to a paid Buffer subscription was worth the cost!

  ### 5. Great way to stay up to date on tweets

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen S. | Director of Social Media Content, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2017

**What do you like best about TweetDeck?**

I like that Tweetdeck organizes all Twitter activity in one central location.

**What do you dislike about TweetDeck?**

There are only so many columns you can display on one screen without it getting overwhelming.

**What problems is TweetDeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm personally more inclined to go straight to Twitter to view my Twitter activity. However, if you like seeing everything on one screen and want to be able to schedule out tweets from this dashboard, Tweetdeck may work for you.

  ### 6. Meets the minimum requirements.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2017

**What do you like best about TweetDeck?**

In addition to just being able to schedule tweets, I like that you can be alerted when someone gets back to you, but it's not the most sophisticated system. I also like that it has a team option so multiple people can access an account. The only reason I would recommend it to someone is that they need to schedule tweets. And in my experience, it's the only scheduler that is simple enough to use quickly, and it doesn't delete things randomly.

**What do you dislike about TweetDeck?**

A lot... First off, it doesn't handle a large volume of work very well. It takes forever to load things, so scheduling tweets can be a 2-3 hour job for me (to be fair, I schedule a large volume of content). I also don't like that I have to scroll down on each column just so it will notify me if there is a notification. I think it should just do that immediately. Inputting content is also a HUGE task: It won't take more than one photo for a scheduled tweet; if I delete the image from my desktop before I tweet something, the image is deleted from the tweet; I can't edit tweets with images after I schedule them; it auto corrects words I don't want to be corrected; and every time I write a hashtag, it pulls up a list of options (not even the most popular options), and I have to take my cursor out of the hashtag to move it around instead of selecting something from the dropdown menu. There is also not enough quality control measures, so if you are working on several different accounts, you have to be SUPER careful. Instead of having different tabs for accounts, you have all of your accounts displayed on one, unnecessarily long page. This makes it easy to accidentally tweet something on the wrong Twitter account. Another problem is that you can't have different scheduling columns per account, only one big one. This makes it hard to separate accounts unless you sign into completely different accounts. I also can't manage a page from Tweetdeck, so if I have to remove a duplicate, faulty, or automatically generated post, I have to go to Twitter in my browser.

**Recommendations to others considering TweetDeck:**

If you have to use this for multiple accounts, you will have to be very conscious of quality control issues. Don't write content directly into the program — save it somewhere first, edit, then load it in. You're less likely to make mistakes or lose your work because both of those things will cost you time. Also, come up with a method to scheduling tweets so you don't accidentally send something to the wrong account. I recommend creating a fake default account where all your tweets will go to if you forgot to select an account.

**What problems is TweetDeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have to tweet for several accounts, so it's nice to have a way to have all of your accounts in one place. It's also nice that it's free and that several users can tweet or manage an account from their Tweetdeck. I also appreciate that I can set up columns to monitor keywords and hashtags, so I can monitor my accounts' online reputation.

  ### 7. I've used Tweetdeck at my company before.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2016

**What do you like best about TweetDeck?**

I like that it enables me to track different companies, influencers, and projects efficiently.

**What do you dislike about TweetDeck?**

I don't like that it's interface is limited to web, and not mobile or desktop platforms.

**Recommendations to others considering TweetDeck:**

I think there are other platforms that are more efficient.

**What problems is TweetDeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're trying to be knowledgeable, informed, and stay ahead of the news and trends. It has allowed us to customize and target what information we are fed.

  ### 8. Keep up to date with targeted phrases

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2016

**What do you like best about TweetDeck?**

Adding specific phrases makes it likely you will come across relevant tweets which may help you open a conversation or give you something to reference when talking to prospects. Can give you early info on issues faced by competitors or unhappy customers of theirs.

**What do you dislike about TweetDeck?**

Seems to only flag up tweets liked or seen by others on my following list rather than showing me all tweets on the word or phrase I've chosen.

**Recommendations to others considering TweetDeck:**

Not 100% sure if I get the most from it but certainly can keep you in the loop with certain contacts or competitors and market events people are affected by. A good way to spot someone who is unhappy with a certain provider.

**What problems is TweetDeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wouldn't say it solves a business problem in particular but has the potential to alert you to market events which may create demand for your solution among relevant contacts.

  ### 9. Add some extra features like vKonnect.com has.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** christina G. | Social Media Manager, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2014

**What do you like best about TweetDeck?**

The TweetDeck logo is quite nice. The dashboard was very good. It should be like vKonnect. Just look at this. https://www.vkonnect.com/Features

**What do you dislike about TweetDeck?**

Internal pages or other blog pages, I didn't like that.

**Recommendations to others considering TweetDeck:**

Just try the vKonnect tool. It's better than TweetDeck.

**What problems is TweetDeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool is only for Twitter. Make it for all social media networks.

  ### 10. Great for personal, not as great for professional

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wine and Spirits | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2013

**What do you like best about TweetDeck?**

Multiple feeds are useful. Otherwise, this is essentially the same as Hootsuite's free version, but with a downloadable version that makes it a bit easier to work with.

**What do you dislike about TweetDeck?**

Lack of useful analytics. Compared to competitors, Tweetdeck doesn't provide much to look at to determine what is working. Also, with Twitter tightening its grip on data access, it's only a matter of time before this program is useless.

**Recommendations to others considering TweetDeck:**

Stick to personal use- there's more insight in Hootsuite.
