They send you email alerts whenever a search term is used in broadcast or radio. I also like ow you can select certain parts of clips from a broadcast or a radio interview.

I don't like how it does not cover every single broadcast or radio outlet. The options are pretty slim; meaning they only capture media from large outlets and not small markets.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is difficult to track all of the coverage for certain clients, especially when they have online coverage and broadcast/ radio coverage so TVEyes is helping solve that problem.

TVEyes is very easy to use when it comes to downloading audio/visual clips for our record-keeping purposes.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I also have TVEyes linked to Cision, and wish I could download clips from Cision directly since the coverage we monitor for is in there anyway. That is, I wish I could do it all in one place, but it's also not a huge issue.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TVEyes gives my team the capability to download audio/visual clips of the coverage our organization receives. This is helpful for record-keeping, and to share with our colleagues.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren H. | Public Relations Account Supervisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

The program is pretty straightforward and easy to use. We are able to pull clips quickly for clients and utilizing the alerts has been beneficial for keeping track of passive placements.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

There is one station that is not picked up in Cincinnati that we have placements on all the time. We are always explaining with our clients that we don't have access to it and it causes a lot of upset clients.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not having access to Star 64 (in Cincinnati) is my biggest issue, however, sometimes, creating reports with many clips is convoluted. I don't understand why you need to add them to a report and then find the report on a different screen, that could be a bit more streamlined.

  ### 29. Great for PR Pros

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

  ### 30. Great Clipping Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

TV Eyes can monitor any video clip and is very fast and delivers the outcome when needed. There have been multiple times where I am rushing to find a video clipping, and I am immediately able to locate it with just code words and timing filters.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The only thing I can think of is the ten-minute limit on the video clippings. Having to cut a video into multiple segments becomes difficult sometimes and leads to confusion. However, that is the only thing I can think of.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TVEyes allows me to monitor any talent interviews and appearances that we get on the air. Additionally, the analytics are very helpful when we are writing our reviews and press reports.

  ### 31. I enjoy using tv eyes to find broadcast coverage for my clients

TV eyes is easy to use, and shows all the metrics i need for my clients. I use it on a weekly basis and it is efficient and comprehensive in its results.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The program is a little outdated in its design and I would like it to go back a little further than 3 months.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me find and save broadcast coverage for my clients and benefits me by providing helpful metrics to measure my sucess.

  ### 32. I can count on TVEyes to capture my client's broadcast clips

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I've had a wonderful experience with TVEyes primarily because Nina Austin-Jones has been most helpful when called upon.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I have found no downside with TVEyes since all my questions are always answered by Nina

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that TVEyes solves is monitoring media for my clients and telling them the media market value

  ### 34. It is a useful tool but it does miss clips. It is about 80% effective.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I am able to capture clips that are more professional than when I record them by my phone.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

It misses clips. I contact the company and while they respond immediately, it is the same excuse blaming the television stations for their closed captioning. Regardless, I still do not have the clip from TVEyes no matter the reason.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me capture news clips a more professional manner than videotaping them on my phone.

  ### 35. Great coverage, a few missing functions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

TVeyes MMS may look like a site built in the earl 2010s, but does the intended job well. The service covers key broadcasters from all major markets, delivers content fast and is flexible with alerting and clips sharing with instaplay links.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Design, mrtadata export capabilities, and lack of option to add multiple recipients to email alerts

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timely capture of content of interest.
Ability to edit clips and share with key stakeholders

  ### 36. Easy to use, great results!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I love that TVEyes collects both big moments (tv bookings/performances) and small mentions in markets nationwide. It's easy to use and the clips are downloadable/saved permanently through the media center. I recommend TVEyes to every publicity team I meet.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I wish TVEyes had a better filtration system - we've got a couple of clients with really generic names, and finding clips specific to them is sometimes very difficult.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me and my team earn new and better bookings for our clients; we can permanently save performances/clips and use them as evidence in pitches. It also helps me with my bosses and showing them media value and market spread when we book television.

  ### 37. Great way to keep track of media placements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

TVEyes has a lot of great features that allow our company to find media placements- even the ones that our other media monitoring programs miss! I love the powersearch feature which allows us to search for very specific placements. Very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I have not found anything I dislike about TVEyes.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TVEyes ensures our team has the most accurate data and metrics for our company's media placements.

  ### 38. Still the best option

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I've been a subscriber to TVEyes since 2010. My needs have changed over the years, and the closed caption transcript monitor is a very useful tool but as always, the video clips prove essential in this day just as they have in the past.

I've tried all the others media monitoring services and they're clunky and don't have the offerings of TVEyes.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The interface is dated but gets the job done. Also, would be good to get Fox News and Fox Business back as offerings.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to track topics via keyword or use it's date/time search function to track almost anything down ever broadcast on TV -- cable or any local market

  ### 39. TVEyes helps us keep tabs on coverage, reputation and more

**Reviewed by:** Mark B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The back-end interface is a tad dated, but still effective.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us monitor regional coverage

  ### 40. Serves its purpose

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

TVEyes is effective in monitoring relevant broadcast media for our clients. The platform serves its purpose and is easy to navigate. The introductory call that TVEyes had with my company was very thruough and helpful.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The platform interface feels outdated / hasn't been updated since 2002. My role at my company rarely deals with the broadcast side of media, but if it did, I would hope for revamp.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I stated earlier, I do not directly work with the broadcast / traditional side of our client's media campaigns. However, it is a nice tool to have should I need to reference or pull information from a recent media clip of my client.

  ### 41. Coast Guard Atlantic Area TVEyes Usage

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Military | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I like the ability to provide publicity value and viewership to leadership to show the impact of our campaigns and efforts. I also like being able to search the entire US market or specific markets/channels.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I do not like how I'm unable to search for broadcast clips from several years ago. For example, when I've searched for content regarding hurricanes from previous years, I'm not able to find anything. It would be helpful to be able to pull this data and compare. It seems there is a cutoff for searching, but that timeframe (6 months, 6 weeks?) isn't shared. Also, I'd like to view data on our reach globally, not just the US. I'm not able to pull South American broadcast viewership data.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TVEyes is providing quantitative data on our campaign efforts to 1) show our impact, 2) help us refine our efforts, and 3) determine the best markets to focus our efforts in.

  ### 42. Does what you need it to do

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

It pulls broadcast better than any other tool. Customer support is also good

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Its website is extremely outdated and hasn't been updated in years

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to find broadcast clips for my client and TVEyes allows me to do that

  ### 43. Great for video clips or transcribing TV clips

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2020

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

Very easy to use and I like that it has segments transcribed

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Transcription is sometimes messed up, but I don't think that is TV eyes fault. Also the lack of Fox News is hard, but I also know that isn't TV eyes fault.

**Recommendations to others considering TVEyes:**

I think TVEyes is the best option for monitoring and transcribing clips in one place.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helpful to be able to download clips and transcribe them

  ### 44. Best Way to Get Clips of TV

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared R. | Public Information Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I love the fact that we can pull media mentions from across the country. No matter where our story airs, from local TV to national networks, we are able to get that clip and save it forever!

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Sometimes pulling all of the clips from a particular day can be cumbersome, but overall, I think it's an extremely useful tool for us to use.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not necessarily a problem, but I'm finally able to put a price tag on my value that I bring to our school district as a PR professional. I can show the number of people we reach and the value of the earned media I am receiving.

  ### 45. TVEyes allows us to easily track our media interviews and media value much easier than any other way

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin B. | Digital Media Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2018

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I like that I can create reports to see how many media instances we had and what the media value is. I have to track our media instances every month and TV Eyes allows me to go in the interface and search for keywords. Such as our organization name, to find all mentions in our local area. We monitor four tv stations in our area and I am able to find all that I need to through their reports. Once I export the reports, then I can track the number of instances, not only for one keyword, but for more since it is an excel sheet file. I then add up the media value and share it with my supervisor who keeps a report of it.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

it would be better if we could get an already trimmed pick of our media segment. There are times that I receive some clips in the report with words that are not part of our name.

**Recommendations to others considering TVEyes:**

I would choose tv eyes if you really want something that is more user friendly and is able to be managed by more than one person.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are facilitating tracking of our media coverage. Before tv eyes, we did not know of a way to track our instances of media via television. We would only organically search our organization on google or by its google alerts. Once we did TV Eyes, we were able to closely monitor where and when we were being mentioned at a local and national level. I am also able to save those video clips so I can use them on our social media or our annual report.

  ### 46. Great Broadcasting Monitoring Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer R. | Public Relations & Social Media Account Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2018

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

TV Eyes monitors both TV and radio in 210 media markets across the U.S. and provides real-time email news alerts anytime your search term is mentioned. Additionally, you can watch TV coverage in real-time which is helpful if you need to 1) Respond to something immediately 2) Tweet/post about it on social media or 3) Clip the segment and send to interested parties

TV Eyes also provides real-time audience insights and earned media value, giving us the ability to provide ROI to clients as well.

Having a real-time monitoring and alerting tool has allowed us to be proactive in a number of ways: watching secured segments live, responding to comments immediately or monitoring for brand mentions in a crisis situation.

One VERY important distinction between TV Eyes and its competitors is that TV Eyes monitors and picks up EVERYTIME a segment about your company/client runs. Local TV will often run the same segment multiple times, which makes a big difference in terms of reach and impact, and TV Eyes will report to you everytime the segment runs: 5 am, 7 am, 6 pm newcasts, etc. Competitors will only catch a segment once, which is not truly reflective of the media coverage you're getting.

Additionally, the customer support is very fast and responsive and the price is reasonable.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Not necessarily a disklike, since all broadcast monitoring tools do this, but something to keep in mind is that the monitoring is all based off of closed captioning keyword searches and closed captioning may write the same word multiple ways.

This means it is really important to think about all the different ways a word/name may be captured on closed captioning and monitor for them all. For example, if I wanted to capture barbecue I would search terms such as "barcecue" and "bbq" and "bar be cue."

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Proactive media relations as well as brand monitoring and crisis mitigation.

  ### 47. TV EYES SAVES THE DAY

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

power search, ability to find segments, all stations

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

searches can't be broad, have to be hyper specific
canada is extra

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to secure clips and research client competitors

  ### 48. Very useful research tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Political Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

It allows me to effectrively search for media mentions relevent to our political goals. The site is user friendly and intuitive to use. We save so much time using tv eyes in our media monitoring effots.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The biggest downside is the lack of Fox News videoplayback abilities. We often need to track fox news affiliates for our research. I undesrstand that this is the result of a lawsuit though and not any fault of tveyes.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to monitor campaign issues and candidates in local and national media outlets. This saves us a great deal of time sorting through various websites every day.

  ### 49. Gets the job done!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I enjoy the ability to toggle between different markets when searching and the ability to search multiple markets at the same time. I haven't used many competitors, so I don't have much to compare it to.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

There have been a couple of occasions that the site won't load which has proven frustrating while working on a tight deadline; it's probably just a bug fix but would still like to see improvements there.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Searching for mention of my clients in broadcast media helps me create more comprehensive PR coverage reports. TVEyes Power Search with keywords helps me search for coverage from specific campaigns.

  ### 50. Awesome and simple way to stay on top of media alerts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I love receiving email notidications of our organizations being on the news, it makes it so easy to setup alerts, it's a must have for communication professionals.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The UI is a bit out dated, needs a fresh look. Yes, that is it, they need to update the look.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to easily download video of our TV mentions, and easily setting up alerts
