**What do you like best about Turn?**

Turn creates an open platform to view applicants and their background history. When selecting candidates for a position, knowing the elements they include helps make applicant decisions clear. The upside of Turn is that applicants can get processed in less than 48 hours we can move applicants along quicker in their application process with the company.

**What do you dislike about Turn?**

The downside of Turn is that sometimes, applicants can get stuck in a limbo period and resolving any issue may take longer than 72 hours. I've had an instance where I've waited over a week for confirmation details on one applicant.

**What problems is Turn solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Turn account representatives are available to us to impede any instances we have when reviewing candidates. Because of this, we are able to identify any issues that candidates come across and resolve issues more effectively.

**What do you like best about Turn?**

Everyone I've contacted at Turn or our organization has contacted has been responsive and helpful with our needs or concerns. They are open to our feedback and making changes if needed, or sharing why something is done a certain way. I always appreciate their attention to customer service.

**What do you dislike about Turn?**

Our organization doesn't love that our volunteers who get background checked must select one checkbox that they want their report and their emails must be added to a marketing distribution list. We understand why this is done for the average user of Turn and we don't fault them for that, but it just doesn't work with our organization's reason for using Turn.

**What problems is Turn solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization uses Turn to background check volunteers who travel on mission trips to other countries. We do this by having volunteers fill out an application and the background check is part of that process. We could not find another company that could integrate with our system and not have users use a separate system outside of ours. But the Turn team has worked well with our web developer to clear any issues and find a seamless process that moves them through the application process more quickly than we had experienced before.

**What do you like best about Turn?**

Our relationship with Turn started last year when we needed to run background checks on several thousand people quickly. Not only did Turn tailor a package to fit our needs, but their pricing strategy was fair and their customer support was unbelievable. I especially enjoy working with our new account manager Marissa. She is fantastic and cares about our experience.

Would like to have better reporting features. Everything else is excellent.

I really like that Turn is very user-friendly. Anytime that I need help with something, they are very willing to do whatever it takes to make sure  I get the service and everyone is very friendly :)

It might be nice if once the driver takes the drug test, there is a notification that it has been accepted and just waiting on results ...this might already be an option I'm unaware of

They Have had just general questions like the turnaround time for testing and backgrounds .I have recently asked them to expedite some drivers that I need as an Emergency, and they have done everything they can to help me achieve this

Sometimes the drivers have issues with their SSN, the page does not let them add it

I really appreciate that Turn was willing to integrate with our ATS (Lever) - it wasn't already in place and they worked with Lever to build. SImilar to competitors in the integration and

It has taken time and a lot of questions to better understand the different statuses - not quite as intuitive as I would expect - I was able to get access to the dashboard to get more information but still needed clarification - especially CONSENT status as nobody in our organization had experience with another vendor that had that initial authorization collected from the applicant and then further consent in some cases.  Our team didn't understand why sometimes that additional consent is needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Turn:**

Easy to use, direct or through ATS integration.

Our higher area volume was looking for a more cost effective tool.  Our area (Talent Acquisition) used the same vendor as our high volume area so we went along with their choice of vendor.  It seems to be working out well

Turn's API gives developers the ability to provide fully automated solutions to their clients. No other background checking solution even comes close to the speed and ease of Turn's system.

Turn is a fairly new company and so sometimes you do need to wait for a feature that might already be provided by other solutions.

**Recommendations to others considering Turn:**

If you need to deliver automatic solutions to your clients that require background checks, look no farther - Turn Technologies is the way to go. Fast, cheap and automatic.

We had a client that was doing all their background checks by hand. We have implemented an automatic background check system into their backend using Turn's API that does everything automatically. Total game changer for our client.

Background checks frequently come back incomplete and it falls back on my team to complete them. Typically education or employment cannot be verified by Turn, but we are able to collect the necessary verification almost 100% of the time. Additionally, checks often take 2+ weeks to come back, which slows our onboarding process considerably.

Affordable and fast background checks. The ability to define various levels of required checks depending on the applicant type is great. API makes process efficient!

The user dashboard needs some work. It looks nice but is difficult to navigate - especially when searching historical backgrounds or applicants with similar names.

Make sure to talk about the API upfront.

Quick turnaround to approve workers on our gig platform is important. Turn technologies allows us to do this. The cost is the biggest advantage - because they are electronic based (more SAAS) their billing is at least half of what we have had in the past for the same volume.

The reports are very "bare bones" and make it seem like a thorough search has not bee completed.

Turn has been so responsive to any questions I have had.  They explain the process very thoroughly.  I love the ability to customize the letters and documents that are sent out.  It's a great product.

It did take us more time than I thought it would to sign the contract.  Luckily, they were willing to start running our background checks while we were working out the details.

The type of business we do, we are legally required to perform specific background checks that not all companies require.  They were great about solving that for us and getting everything set up correctly.

What is most helpful about Turn Technologies is its people!  I always receive a quick response when I as a question about a candidate report.  I can really rely on their service and feel GOOD about the reports I'm giving to customers knowing there's a team of people monitoring quality.

I was having issues (user related!) with the new dashboard, but Veronica at Turn jumped on a Zoom and clearly explained everything so the issue has been successfully resolved.

I dislike how you cannot access and individual part of the report until the check for the entire package is complete.

I'll be blunt. Background checks for us are a commodity. We want to trigger the check, and get it done for the cheapest price. Turn has done this consistently for years for us. We switched from Checkr, and saved a bunch, and lost nothing in the process.

The UI could use a little improving, but we really just don't care about this much anyway.

I love that drivers are automatically ran through the DMV and have taken the time to complete most of the process, so you know they are more likely to be serious!

The term hired is a bit confusing as they have not actually been hired by our company yet, and many who are marked hired, do not actually proceed through the entire process.

- Turn proactively contacts applicant's who have discrepancies in their background checks
- Turn's partner support team is fast to respond to concerns.
- Turn will automatically resume checks on a previously withdrawn candidate if they reach back out with the required information.  They then alert Delivery Logistics via email so we can update their account.

**What do you dislike about Turn?**

- Lack of integration within our ATS
- Turn agents inconsistency with using the notes feature when sending first notice to applicants
- Turn will sometimes send an applicant a second notice.  ( Delivery Logistics does not send a second notice)

The reports come very detailed and give a breakdown of the individual counties and states. It notifies us of any flags.

The background screening results are always fast, easy and efficient. Customer service has always been good and responsive. The rates are competitive amongst competitors.

Nothing else I require from potential candidates is required at this time. The features I use work properly. I have no immediate suggestions on improvements at this time.

Results typically come back quickly - sometimes within a few hours.  And I get the information I need, especially for drivers.

If someone has lived out of state before, the results can take longer.
