We struggled to configure Kofax with AP Automation. Two versions were attempted back to add badges and update the UI, but I still feel it doesn't look fresh enough. KOFAX Capture is very extensive and can be scaled quite well. It can automatically capture data based on OCR and ICR which is amazing. Once the setup of the software is done correctly, It can process documents quite well. Capture is also very good at classification of different document types based on their structure. I love the feature as it will classify Invoice, quotes, Dnotes or any other documents that are setup in backend. Capture also lets you generate custom Separator sheets per document type. this is a simpler way that you will insert the printed version of the separator sheets in between different types of documents based on their document types and Capture will separate it for you after scan. It has a learning curve. You need to click a lot of buttons to sometimes to achieve something small. Usually the problem comes when the network changes and an error pops up. Online support database is not that extensive so I have to use all my networking and KOFAX admin knowledge to solve an issue. In many cases I had to re-Install the Client module to solve the error. I like the ease of scanning and editing through Kofax. It is simple and fast. You can edit your settings for different types of documents and save them for easy access later. You can easily capture and organize things like receipts, business cards, gift cards, etc so that they aren't taking up space in your wallet, and you can edit documents in their scanning process (crop tool is very nice). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
