## TryHackMe Reviews
  ### 1. Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David C. | Cybersecurity platform developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about TryHackMe?**

As a student, I consider TryHackMe an indispensable tool for my education. What I appreciate most is how accessible it makes cybersecurity. I don't need a powerful gaming rig or complex local setup; the cloud-based environment means I can learn from anywhere, focusing purely on skills rather than hardware limitations. The sheer variety of topics keeps me engaged, covering everything from basics to advanced exploits.

However, my absolute favorite part is the competitive aspect. I recently participated in the 'Industrial Intrusion' challenge with my team, and we were thrilled to finish in 39th place. The adrenaline of working under pressure and solving problems in real-time gave us experience that standard lessons simply can't match. These events—and the amazing prizes—show that TryHackMe genuinely cares about its community and invests in our growth. It’s not just a learning platform; it’s a place where I can truly test my limits.

**What do you dislike about TryHackMe?**

Sometimes the page takes a long time to load, and I have to wait several minutes. It’s not frequent—maybe once a month—but it does happen.

**What problems is TryHackMe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TryHackMe solves the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Many courses teach you definitions, but they don't teach you how to actually do the job.

This benefits me directly because the platform allows me to simulate a real analyst's workflow. Through the SAL1 certification, I wasn't just answering multiple-choice questions; I was investigating false positives and true positives in a simulated SOC. This hands-on approach has helped me build the muscle memory and analytical mindset required for a real security role.

  ### 2. Beginner-Friendly, Engaging, and Impactful Learning Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Semiconductors | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about TryHackMe?**

What I appreciate most about TryHackMe is how beginner-friendly it is. The walkthrough rooms are very well structured and organized, making them easy to follow. The CTF rooms are also well designed, especially the progression from easy to hard, which provides a solid learning curve on the platform. This setup makes it straightforward to advance from a beginner level to someone with more experience.

The network rooms are also really good and gives a solid understanding how a Organization can be attacked and defended.

The new Certifications release are also good.

As an enterprise user i appriciate the Support, this i a really good point for us. In the enterprise supscription the creation of special path is a huge win for us as an Organization, so we can train the new joiners in a more effective way. and create paths for special needs.

Also a fun way to learn is the CTF creations. So we can play as an organization and have some fun.

I have tried the soc simulator, and this is a huge step forward for the platform, this gives a new joiner a detailed inside how a soc works and operate.

in summary i have to say, that tryhackme makes a huge impact how a training and learning expirence should look like.

Here’s a polished and slightly rewritten version of your text with improved grammar, flow, and clarity:

What I appreciate most about TryHackMe is its beginner-friendly approach. The walkthrough rooms are well-structured and organized, making them easy to follow. The CTF rooms are also thoughtfully designed, especially the progression from easy to hard, which creates a solid learning curve. This setup makes it straightforward to advance from a beginner to a more experienced level.

The network-focused rooms are excellent as well, providing a strong understanding of how an organization can be attacked and defended.

The newly released certifications are another great addition.

As an enterprise user, I truly value the support provided—it’s a major advantage for us. Within the enterprise subscription, the ability to create custom learning paths is a huge win. It allows us to train new joiners more effectively and tailor paths for specific needs.

Another fun aspect is the ability to create CTF challenges, enabling us to play as a team and make learning enjoyable.

I’ve also tried the SOC simulator, and this is a significant step forward for the platform. It gives new joiners a detailed insight into how a SOC operates.

In summary, TryHackMe has made a huge impact on how training and learning experiences should look.

**What do you dislike about TryHackMe?**

Currently, TryHackMe seems to be focusing more on Blue Team content. As someone interested in Red Teaming, I feel there is a lack of innovation for Red Teamers. The most recent releases have been centered around threat hunting and SOC-related topics.

**What problems is TryHackMe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It tries to demonstrate how you can improve as a pentester or SOC analyst, which is a significant advancement for these roles. We are constantly learning, and this is something TryHackMe aims to address. For me personally, it helps me get better at the areas where I currently feel I am lacking.

  ### 3. Exceptional Learning Experience with Engaging Labs that my students can understand

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse I. | Co-Lead Instructor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about TryHackMe?**

What is useful is using the virtual machines and eases costs because you use their virtual machines instead of your own. TryHackMe is readable and clearly tells you what you are going to be learning in this room or module. My students and I love the tabletop simulators that are offered. The students get to practice their skills they have learned from the rooms they have completed. The rooms have excellent pacing and a realistic timeline to complete the objectives.

**What do you dislike about TryHackMe?**

I wish there were servers on my side of the country in America.

**What problems is TryHackMe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is preparing my students to be aware of cybersecurity and how important it is.

  ### 4. TryHackMe Has Been the Best Since 2020

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** tanish s. | Security Researcher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about TryHackMe?**

I'm using tryhackme since 2020 it's best

**What do you dislike about TryHackMe?**

Still need advance learning content based on comparison with other platforms

**What problems is TryHackMe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When starting in cyber security it's one of the best platform and labs are also created

  ### 5. Great Variety of Rooms for Learning

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafal S. | security analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about TryHackMe?**

TryHackMe has a lot of great rooms with interesting and well-structured challenges.

**What do you dislike about TryHackMe?**

I’ve been getting more and more frustrated with the technical issues on TryHackMe. There are frequent problems with machines — disconnects, unstable connections, and older rooms where the machines are not properly set up for the tasks. Sometimes you have to spend extra time fixing services or creating accounts just to be able to complete the exercise. There are also more cases of being randomly logged out or disconnected from the platform, which makes learning quite annoying (it's not my PC, I'm using my THM accounts on 4 different machines and everywhere issues).

**What problems is TryHackMe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

none

  ### 6. The best place to learn Cyber Security skills

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis U. | IT Engineer / CSIRT member, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2024

**What do you like best about TryHackMe?**

I really like the variety, versatility and depth of TryHackMe content. It's a real good learning place for cyber security to the fullest extent. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced security expert, you will find content to expand your knowledge.
There are a lot of challenges to practise your knowledge on, from easy to very hard rated levels.
The interface is easy to use and you can easiliy find content which you want to gain knowledge of, or just follow learning paths to learn about security roles related conten.
If you experience issues you can contact customer support, which handles requests personal and fast. I am using TryHackMe for years now and still learning every day!

**What do you dislike about TryHackMe?**

I do not have any dislikes on TryHackMe. The last year the interface has changed a couple of times. I had to get used to it.

**What problems is TryHackMe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me understanding how to harden our business against cyber crime.

  ### 7. Tryhackme review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubh B. | Cloud Security Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2024

**What do you like best about TryHackMe?**

The best part about TryHackMe is the beginner friendly UI/UX. Anyone who is starting out in cybersecurity will not feel overwhelmed by this gamified platform. It also is kept updated with latest attack vectors and CVEs. Another plus point for newbies is that TryHackMe removes the need for a beefy PC to practice labs. Have been a user for long and don't think I'll move out of it anytime soon. Also, it is fairly inexpensive for the value it provides.

**What do you dislike about TryHackMe?**

Any downside i try to think of feels like nitpicking. I've sometimes faced a bit of trouble with the in-browser labs but it didn't last for long and everything worked fine on the second attempt. Another tiny issue i faced was the lack of rooms for niche topics like k8s security but they've now been added iirc.

**What problems is TryHackMe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People working on TryHackMe tend to have their basics right. So, they can be granted a certain amount of autonomy at work which translates into less hand holding from seniors.

  ### 8. Highly recommended platform for improving your cybersecurity knowledge.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anand P. | Penetration Tester, Computer & Network Security, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2024

**What do you like best about TryHackMe?**

Easy and simple to use UI. Beginner friendly. Guided exercises along with hints which tests our knowledge of each topic. I really like the streaks program which motivated me to upskill and learn something new which is why I use it everyday. It has good balance of both practical labs along with theoretical topics which complement each other. It also has a good mix of challenging and intermediate level labs based on difficulty for the experienced professionals who are somewhat familiar with the topics. Very easy to setup and get going with labs. Being a business user the amount of pro level content is quite nice and good customer support.

**What do you dislike about TryHackMe?**

The quantity of practical labs is still very less than that of competitor platforms. Sometimes I've observed issue while accessing VPN for accessing the labs. Cloud security related content is limited to AWS only. Would have been nice to have Azure and GCP as well.

**What problems is TryHackMe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me in upskilling my offensive and defensive cyber security knowledge. Its easy and simple to understand language really helped me understand concepts clearly which directly helped me in the interviews.

  ### 9. My Experience with TryHackMe

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2024

**What do you like best about TryHackMe?**

What impresses me the most about TryHackMe is the interactiveness with which it teaches cybersecurity. The range of interactive labs and challenges, from beginner to expert in difficulty, really makes a few pretty hard-core concepts both understandable and fun. The clear tutorials and supportive community guide users on structuring and effectively building practical skills.

**What do you dislike about TryHackMe?**

A drawback of TryHackMe is that it might not delve into quite advanced topics as much, and users may have to search for more technical information somewhere else. Furthermore, while there is a free version, access to all the labs and features requires a paid subscription, which would create a barrier for some learners. Sometimes, there will be technical issues or errors in some rooms that may hinder the learning process. Additionally, all this content can sometimes become too much for a newcomer without definite starting points.

**What problems is TryHackMe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TryHackMe helps deal with the problem of not enough practical cybersecurity training. It offers interactive labs and real-world situations which make it easy to understand for anyone, regardless of skills. In this hands-on approach, it becomes interesting and effective enough for users to use what they learn about in a safe space. Which means I could continuously improve my skills, learn new security practice, and eventually have more confidence when facing real cyber problems. In addition, the helpful community and clear learning paths give me good guides, making the learning experience highly organized and fun.
