**What do you like best about Truss?**

Ease of use, since we were able to get started quickly and begin using it right away.  It integrated nicely with Drake. Excellent support.

Can't think of any dislikes!  Overall it is a great system.

**What problems is Truss solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Truss helped keep us organized internally, so everyone always knew the current status of each tax return. It also streamlined our client process, making communication and follow-ups smoother. As a result, our clients paid us more quickly.

**What do you like best about Truss?**

I like that Truss is full of features, but it's also not overwhelming. I value that it's connected to my email, allowing me to send information request lists and deliver tax returns very seamlessly. The integration with Drake Tech software is a large help, and I'm really pleased that the initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Truss?**

The only thing that I'm noticing now is that the workpaper functionality isn't working exactly as I would like it, but they are working on it and it has improved from last year.

**What problems is Truss solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Truss saves us a lot of time on administrative tasks like gathering, downloading, and sharing documents and tax returns. It also helps clients provide us with information efficiently.

**What do you like best about Truss?**

I almost never write reviews, but I feel like I needed to write this one after using it this last tax season.  Truss is optimized for cell phone use without downloading an app and creates an easy collection process for the clients.  Tasks (document requests and such) and worksheets are created based on the prior year return, and the questionnaire can create tasks based on responses.  The return delivery is also an improvement from our original process as we upload a single return PDF and Truss parses it up into tasks (pay this tax owed, make this estimated tax payment, pay this invoice, exc) which help keep clients on task for what needs to be done after the return is delivered.  It can also assemble local returns that need to be mailed in and can't be e-filed so the client can print and mail them in.  I think my favorite feature is the workpaper mode.  It automatically turns the questionnaire, worksheets, uploads, and client comments into a single organized PDF that can be marked up in the software.  There is a panel on the left that shows the different sections (ABC W-2. XYZ Schedule C) that has multi level review check-offs and flagging.  There is also a calculator tape feature.  Overall it replaced Grunt Worx and Tic Tie Calculate. The owners are responsive to feedback and I've seen a few of my ideas impact software updates.

**What do you dislike about Truss?**

When I signed up with them there was not a single review on the internet that I could find.  I somehow saw their name in some random online post (Reddit perhaps).  They are a startup and until recently had basically no web presence other than their website.  This made me pretty nervous to sign up with them, but I did so because I liked the demo.  Overall, I'm glad I took the risk though.

- Easier and more complete collection of client tax info

**What do you like best about Truss?**

I started using Truss in Dec 2024 / Jan 2025, right before I started my tax season.  I had been using another client portal - document management system but it wasn't great.  My clients did not like it, it wasn't very user friendly for permissions and just did not meet my needs.  Once I did the Truss demo, I realized that this program was all the things I needed that I did not even realized I needed.  I am a solo practice and all the other programs were just too much for me.  I needed to keep track of projects but I did not need the internal communicates or the set up others had.  This was just perfect for me.  I had wanted to automate a lot of my processes but didn't know how to do so.  Truss has already figured it out.  The group at Truss are so easy to work with.  You mention an issue on Tuesday and by Friday, they have rolled out a solution.  I LOVED Dan's webinars in Jan / Feb.  I have been told they will have more this summer / fall and I can't wait.  I plan on using my training days to get better acquainted with the system and be so much more efficient for the 2025 tax season.

Nothing ... I see so much potential in this product.

**What do you like best about Truss?**

For my job I am in and out of complicated tax return documents all day. I have some that are over 3000 pages. I use truss all day every day now. Truss has helped me with sorting, and sending all these complicated documents to our clients while also making it easy to understand and easy to access. It also reduced task times from 30min to several hours, down to 5 minutes or less. It's user friendly, easy to navigate. It has changed my workday for the better. I cannot imgaine going back to what my work day used to be like.

Another thing to note is Truss Customer support. Whenever I  experience an issue they are quick to get back to me and find me a solution. Response times are crazy fast and always so friendly and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Truss?**

It is hard to find things that I dont like about trust because whenever something doesn't work like its supposed to, their team fixes it fast! can't really complain. Every issue or complaint I came across was met with an "I am so sorry about that. Let me fix that for you really fast" and boom issue was fixed. Truss is truly amazing! So blessed to have it!

**What problems is Truss solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Taking my work day tasks form several hours to compelte down to 5 minutes or less.

**What do you like best about Truss?**

TRUSS is incredibly user-friendly which makes it easy for our team to learn and use. It has boosted our productivity by automating routine tasks and requests. It is reliable and customer support is always quick to respond. It is easy to communicate with the TRUSS team and they listen to our wants, customizing things to make our processes easier.

**What do you dislike about Truss?**

I don't really have anything negative to say about TRUSS. I think the only thing I would say is I wished some of my clients would be better at navigating through it. i.e. Some are not as tech savvy or would rather not electronically sign a document this way but it isn't TRUSS that is the problem.

**What problems is Truss solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TRUSS has helped with the ease of creating document request lists for all clients and sends reminders for outstanding items. With these request lists and reminders, we have seen a huge turnaround time from clients sending in documents. It is also easy to track what we are missing. 
TRUSS has made it easy to send returns and documents securely to clients.
TRUSS also has the e-signature function. With this, the client documents and e-signature and requests are in one spot when they click on their secure link which makes it more efficient for us sending to clients as well as the clients knowing where to send/complete their information. 
It is easy to monitor statuses of projects which helps with workflow.

**What do you like best about Truss?**

Their founder, Dan, is great to work with. He genuinely cares about you, your business and how Truss can help. 
I love that Truss makes it quick and easy for my clients to get me information (no more portals and logins and confusing things holding clients up). Just a simple button in my email signature allows them to send documents securely to me.
Being able to add Truss links directly to my emails in Gmail makes my processes of requesting info from clients seemless. 
Also, they integrate directly to Google Drive so the files uploaded by clients can go directly to my Google Drive Files, saving me time. 
The team is very responsive and takes your requests for additions to the software seriously. They constantly make useful updates to their systems.
Esignatures are breeze!
Lastly, Truss utilizes AI to make things tidy and efficient for me!
LOVE IT!

**What do you dislike about Truss?**

There really isn't anything I don't like about Truss. There are a few features that I don't use because they don't apply to the type of work I do, but there's really nothing I dislike.

**What problems is Truss solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Truss solves these prolems:
1. The difficulty and annoyance of sending and receiving documents. This software makes my life much easier, and I know that the way my clients and I are sharing documents is secure.
2. Switching between a bunch of apps. Truss is nicely integrated with my gmail and Google Drive so I spend less time downloading, uploading and jumping between apps.

**What do you like best about Truss?**

Truss is a great product that will help Accountant's to send and receive information from clients.  With the integration of Outlook it is our most valuable tool to gather client information.  The eSignature feature and AI assistance are added bonuses.  I would highly recommend this product to any size Accounting Firm.

**What do you dislike about Truss?**

We have not really found a downside to Truss.  Everything has been easy to use and they have fantastic support. It took no time to implement and we use it everyday.

**What problems is Truss solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending and receiving information from clients and getting eSignatures on documents.  It has improved our wait time on getting information from clients.  Witht the automatic reminders to clients it takes away from us having to constantly remind the client to upload the documentation.

**What do you like best about Truss?**

Our firm has been using Truss since the early days of the program and it has been the easiest file sharing software that we have ever implemented in our office. It truly has been inspiring to see the development progress go from good to better to even better (they may even be the best now). Their customer service is top-notch and they are very solution oriented people who are efficient. One our favorite things about Truss is the fact that our clients aren't required to have a login that our firm has to be responsible for. The upload and download process is super easy, even for our older clients. We really appreciate the ability to download our client files in one combined PDF or via zip file depending on the need. The email integration has by far been the easiest way to help our "not as tech savvy" staff members file share efficiently and effectively without running into as many hiccups or user error issues. We use it just about daily and for a variety of purposes within our practice that aren't just related to taxes.

**What do you dislike about Truss?**

One downside is not being able to delete a project button within your email, if you are using the integration. It rarely is a big issue for us, but is mostly an issue if we make an error. I would like a video that I could go back on reference for new updates or how to use the program.

**What problems is Truss solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Truss has taken away a lot of hassle with collecting sensitive information from our clients, especially when it comes to the clients that used to send each tax doc one email at a time. It has made us more time efficient and has helped greatly reduce the amount of printing that we used to do.

**What do you like best about Truss?**

It has always been challenging to send and receive client documents with proprietary information. The RIAs I work with usually have some system that meets compliance but is awkward and bulky to use and not at all client-friendly.  I am able to send requests, forms, and information through Truss.  My clients are easily able to respond. .It's one of those things.  I'm not a techy.  I am mesmerized when I think about the zeros and ones to get this to work the way it does.  I am always finding new ways to integrate and use Truss.  I accidently and inadvertently found it and I am so grateful that I have access to this.

**What do you dislike about Truss?**

This is a love/hate kind of thing.   They are constantly updating and innovating- which is something I love about Dan and Truss, but this presents me with an ongoing and formidable learning experience.  The support team has always walked me through any questions or concerns.  Once I have figured something out, I find so many uses for whatever they have updated or added.'  It is very satisfying.

**What problems is Truss solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to send and receive proprietary documents to clients that meet our compliance requirements.  There are a lot of compliant ways to do this out there, but this is the first one I was able to recommend to clients and they were satisfied with its security.  Before Truss, I had clients that were not computer savvy and would print and send me hard copies of the documents I requested.  I haven't had that issue once I began using Truss.

**What do you like best about Truss?**

I love how this product is so easy to use on not only our end, but also on the client side. Clients have consistency commented on how much better they enjoy the annual tax filing process since we have implemented Truss! Clients receive a clear checklist of what we need to complete their tax filings, significnatly decreasing the items we receive via email or the emails asking "is my tax return ready yet?" 

Support for the product is top-notch, and features continuously roll out. It was very easy to implement in our organization and obtain adoption from clients.  We have found even more ways to use Truss on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Truss?**

There is nothing not to like. The product is continuously improving every week, only making my job easier.

It does what I need it to and the team over at Truss are absolutly great to work with. Top notch customer support and they are flexible with what I need. I find myself using Truss every day.

It doesnt interact directly with my tax software and therefor there is a little extra work on my end.

Document delivery and electronic signature. They also create a secure drop off that doesnt not require a client login which is what made me consider them in the beginning.
