**What do you like best about TrueNAS?**

The web gui, the disk support, the full raid and zfs (snapshot ecc) support

**What do you dislike about TrueNAS?**

It’s not a freenas fault, but maybe mine: I feel uneasy handle the freebsd disk system. In disaster recovery it can be a problem. Actually I use linux mint as samba server, not using raid at all, I found a better disaster prevenction to have a secon backup disk handled by cron jobs that backups data asinchronusly(better than mirtoring). I don’t trust striping raid soluctions...

**Recommendations to others considering TrueNAS:**

Optimum free opensource solution , simple and could be installed on cheap hardware. I’m not sure on manual recovering faulty systems.

**What problems is TrueNAS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Obtain a free nas on old hardware, with the possibility of encription. You can install the boot on usb and use an ssd in raid sustems for increase performance.
