"Initial Setup"

What do you like best?

This software extends across various platforms, and ease of setup is a tremendous asset when utilized by a small organization that does not have dedicated IT Professionals to implement product use.

What do you dislike?

While it appears that this software has most all of the features of the the common consumer video conferencing software that we have become accustomed to, there is a discernible difference in the level of polish. I'm sure that as time moves forward the level of fit and finish will make product look as good as it works.

don't be discouraged, give it a try, they are very helpful and accomodating.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Out here in the woods, we are relegated to using our cellular modem only (bandwidth and data plan limited) connections to the internet sparingly. With the ability to work on our extended range LAN we have the ability remain in constant contact similar in method to two way radios, without the constraints of simplex operation. Having the ability to see what the other person is seeing at the same time is also of immeasurable value!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Awesome video conferencing server and client for collaboration."

What do you like best?

TrueConf is extremely flexible and reliable software and it is supported remarkably good support. The system requirements are very reasonable and the installation and setup is quite easy. We use the product on a daily basis (like all day, every day), and have yet to have any significant problems. The support staff is extremely responsive and have addressed all questions and requests promptly and professionally. Truly top notch!

What do you dislike?

The conference client doesn't seem to have an option to make a noise when someone joins the conference. Based on past experience, however, I suspect this will be added to the next client build!

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Don't hesitate to bring any installation, configuration, or use issues to the attention of the support staff. They are awesome.

Our business model has de-centralized our office; we all work from home offices. TrueConf allows us to collaborate just as if we were all in the same office!

"TruConf is True Speed"

What do you like best?

Hosting a Server capable of Lan Speeds. For me streaming in as close to realtime with my students is a must. We have a cubicle layout and I had tried every conference software under the sun trying to have a real time lecture with my students. It wasn't until TruConf Server that I was able to do so.

What do you dislike?

I have no real complaints. We have sporadically had issues with having to restart a computer to get the app to launch but they are working with me on that and I don't think it's primarily their software that's the problem. Other than that the software has been exceptional.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Definitely give it a shot the staff is great as well.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It allows us to achieve a local real time conference with all of my students in a single room at a time. Would be great for large corporate offices with peole who need to meet on different floors and still collaborate.

"Best in Class VC solution for LAN - WAN"

What do you like best?

Mainly we picked this solution as Best in Class, for its local server installation as we are saving huge on internet bandwidth due to HD quality video conferencing over the LAN

as mostly we are using it for our internal company communication and it offers most of our needs fullfilment.

What do you dislike?

Its missing some features for easy usage as web conferencing or public broadcasting.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

YES, its highly recommended due to quality of service and price.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have multiple work locations for our offices / teams so we never need to walk to other blocks / floors and saving time and energy, yet we are talking with mates face to face.

"Best program for vide, conference, chats and calls!"

What do you like best?

I like the way to make videoconferences, because it is to easy. And for the chat is almost perfect with this new program upgraded. And for more things it is perfect in chat right now, because you can now send files in chat.

Another thing is the way to easy to install it.

What do you dislike?

I cannot create groups for chat and groups of Contacts inside TrueConf Client (i buy TrueConf Server), some time i have problems with MICROPHONE, but with Hardware Testing it is easy to correct this problem. The other thing is ti upload photo from TrueConf Server, there is a great idea to do it INSIDE TrueConf Server, because i have photos in AD (for Outlook) and i cannot use it, i need to reload the photos but now in TrueConf Server.

"On premises audio & video conferencing, screen sharing + chat - that WORKS"

What do you like best?

Easily integrates with Active Directory - the claimed 15 minute setup is closer to 5 minutes if you read the documentation. Other than that, it works out of the box for both local and remote clients (public IP required).

What do you dislike?

One issue is inherent in the licensing model, and though understandable is a bit of a bummer - one device login per account. This means that of the authorized users in the Active Directory group, you cannot login simultaneously to a mobile device or tablet while being logged in on a workstation (Mac or Windows). My advanced users are used to the cloud based model of "logged in all the time everywhere" so there is some adjustment required. The other issue is the desktop client looks a bit dated - I'd love to see a Windows 10 style "Universal App" look and feel.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have 150+ users in our main facility and our Drafting and Engineering Dept is in the northwest corner of a 15 acre campus. The time/distance factor affects communication about complex but quickly resolvable issues - because it takes a 10 minute round trip for a 3 minute discussion, the SOP is to let a half-dozen small issues accumulate, and then knock them all out in a face-to-face with design/drafting/engineering for 30 minutes. That creates a SURPRISING amount of friction in information sharing. Looping shared high resolution drafting workstation screens out into the cloud for sharing 500' down the hall simply doesn't work - having local bandwidth and the proper software makes it a non-issue. Allowing drafters and engineers and project managers (and groups of same) able to to build up and tear down a face to face meeting in three minutes has made a big difference in just the last 30 days.

"Easy and complete videoconference system"

What do you like best?

For the users it's easy to use and as administrator it's easy to manage.

As administrator you don't need to know all the features, you can just activate the ones you need and start using it.

As user it's very simple, similar to other chat or messaging systems.

What do you dislike?

Users find uncomfortable that the Trueconf activates the camera while they are not in a conference, they feel observed.

Sometimes it's needed to zoom to somewhere, maybe if you are too far from the webcam, it could be useful to have a digital zoom, with the current HD cameras the quality would not be greatly affected.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you need a system that uses only the internal company network but allows external connections, this is your software. It also allows you to use different platforms.

We need a videoconference system for our internal company network, without consuming our reduced internet bandwidth.

Also it allows to use the videoconference system if a user need's to be outside the company network.

"Douglas Dynamics TrueConf Experience"

What do you like best?

Extremely easy to use - very cost effective. Support from Customer Service has been very good. The chat function on the website works very well. Dmitry has been great to work with. We love that we can use a local server to facilitate the communication, as most of our uses are local to our network.

What do you dislike?

Client can be a bit quirky sometimes, and the version we are on changes the DNS name of the TrueConf server to the External IP address when a laptop is used at home, requiring us to manually change it back when the computer is back in the office. The product needs to support setting up an external conference from the software client. Development seems to be a bit slow in this regarding, and fixing things like the AD link with the Directory Service.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

TrueConf is a good product, but the client is not as mature as some other offerings such as Videxio or BlueJeans. External Conference Support is a bit iffy. Using from Smartphones has also been iffy. Some issue logging in from the app without a phone re-boot first.

Needed to start with video conferencing in our company without a huge initial investment.

"Excellent conference program."

What do you like best?

Very reliable program and performance that I can rely on it 100%. Excellent video and audio quality that I can speak to my colleagues and buyers through the computer, tablet or mobile phone. Beautiful clear picture and sound which is very important at any time I need to contact them.

What do you dislike?

I love this program and I don't have anything that I don't like.

I believe that, this is very professional program. Very useful and easy to use in any life situation no matter its for business or friends and family. If you like excellent service, reliable and full of quality futures conference program, you should get trueconf and I'm sure you will never need any other company.

The problems solving with trueconf is very useful in any business situation. It helps to contact my business contacts with out leaving the office or home to discuss solution to any problems that arise. The benefits of trueconf is virtually unlimited for any kind of use. Very nicely build with lots of smart futures.

"Treuconf server "

What do you like best?

Price to product ratios. Anyone who has ever shopped for a VCS knows that costs are an issue. With Trueconf you get what you pay for - not a whole package of bells and whistles you don't need.

What do you dislike?

The interface between platforms. It would be nice to have a single interface. Having to teach users how to create a group conference from Windows vs. Mac vs. Linux

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Definitely worth checking out the platform. It is capable of handling the 5 importat platforms in conferencing today. IOS, Mac, Windows, Linux and Android. At a reasonable price range. This is very important for non homogenous networks.

We are allowing many of our remote users and remote offices to communicate together seamlessly through the on-premise server. This is one thing that we wanted to maintain in house.

"Brazillian Public Sector Evaluation of TrueConf"

What do you like best?

The combination of a competitive price policy with dedicated clients across all plataforms and the possibility of easily implement custom applications through a solid API and good SDK are ideal for our needs

What do you dislike?

The visual interface of some front end applications is a little dated.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

There are many providers of videoconferencing solutions crowding the market, consider TrueConf if you looking for a no-nonsense business approach, adequate pricing, broad platform coverage with native apps and the possibility of easily customize applications through SDK/API. TrueCon, with the adequate hardware, could easily replace Polycom/Cisco professional appliances and provide even more functionality.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Albeit not yet implemented in full, we´re conducting tests to use the solution to support the brazillian legal system to perform remote hearings bettween individuals that are in jail and the judges/lawyers.

"Private video class"

What do you like best?

Primium service in my region not good support and trueconf in my private server best choise for video confrence in iran network

What do you dislike?

Automatic bitrate in unstable connection no good work

Best way is install server on a vm and best datacenter for it is asiatech or afranet

Before true conf we work by skype and oovoo and many other services

But this product not safe for our confrence and not stable.

"TrueConf is easy to use and easy to administer"

What do you like best?

the fact that I can host the server internally so that I am not dependent on a robust internet connection

What do you dislike?

the way that user ids are assigned. I wish it would just use standard email addresses

"TrueConf for critical medical data"

What do you like best?

that we have an server of our own behind our firewalls, so we can talk about very sensitiv data knowing the will not be anywhere in the web

also very useful is the possibility to chat directly with supports

the use of the system is very straight forward for our users

"Make it easy for customers "

What do you like best?

The stability of the application and the simplicity of the application. It is very user friendly.

What do you dislike?

There is no queuing system in the application that can be intgreated with our call center.

It is a very stable app

Our customers can easily interact with our agents anytime without visiting the branches. Also our agents can share screenshots with our customers and share with them some information to make things clear and solve thier issues.

What do you like best?

Flexibility of the solution and the possibility to easily integrate it with other systems.

What do you dislike?

The low maturity of the Terminal product. The client product (old one) is excelent. The terminal is very dependent on driver/machine configuration, and consumes much more resources.
