Response time when issues go to development are painfully slow. **What problems is TrueCommerce EDI solving and how is that benefiting you?** EDI Compliance with customers, vendors, and 3PLs. EDI is a requirement of our large customers and the benefit is we are complying with our large customers. We choose to use EDI as a means to send Purchase Orders to our vendors but more importantly, they return invoices to us and we do not have to key them into our system. We need to send our picking tickets to our 3PLs and need to get back their packing lists to update. Using EDI to do so, allows both of our systems to update the databases without having manual intervention. ### 3. Unfortunately, it was placed on hold twice with minimal communication, resulting in a four-month stall before progress resumed. Instead of having to create new support tickets everytime, relying on the documentation has been a huge plus. Additionally, their support has been fantastic and hands down one of the better services I've experienced with. **What do you dislike about TrueCommerce EDI?** There's hardly any downside with TrueCommerce, but one thing I would say is the response back for tickets. The response back may vary, but typically they respond within 24-48 hours. **What problems is TrueCommerce EDI solving and how is that benefiting you?** TrueCommerce EDI has cut time with our operations when sending specific documentations to our vendors/customers. If I have a production issue that needs to be recreated in test, I have to open a case to get the document moved. There have been times when it took over a day. There seems to be a lot of turnover with the implementation specialists. When we had a few hiccups, customer support is easy to reach and typically do their best to remedy the situation. The only reason I don't give 10 stars is because this is more suited for a smaller company and our company is beginning to outgrow the use of the program. But it has been wonderful for getting our UCC's connected to netsuite after our transition to that program. **What do you dislike about TrueCommerce EDI?** The hiccups we have, though customer service was promt to help, have not been solved entirely to this day. The connection to NetSuite is great and the integration activity makes it easy to see what errors you may get. The scheduler is another nice feature to auto send certain things. **What do you dislike about TrueCommerce EDI?** That we can't easily setup new partners and y'all have full control over it and then when I need to add someone I get no response from our account manager. Techs will teach you if you want to know how to setup trading partners on your own. - Update - We had a really good experience when we first integrated with TrueComm in 2017, but the service level and knowledge of technicans decreased over time. We eventually switched away from them. **What do you dislike about TrueCommerce EDI?** Would be nice to work with one tech for your account, not be assigned a new one each time you need assistance. Feels like you are starting from scratch with a new tech. - Update - Sales/Account managers are hard to get ahold of and didn't seem concerned about our issues. Huge bottleneck of data flow from ERP (Dynamics GP) to TrueCommerce, and they could not provide a real solution. Calling tech support was scary, as no knowledgable techs that knew Gentran was on staff. They may have since sunsetted that solution as well. We eventually switched to a new EDI provider and couldn't be happier. **What problems is TrueCommerce EDI solving and how is that benefiting you?** In house EDI, no longer paying ridiculous per transaction fees. Integration into Dynamics GP is customizable per trading partner, instead of months of waiting for EDI partner to figure out how to integrate. ### 37. In the occasional cases when we need to get a knowledgeable person immediately on the phone, it takes minimal effort and I have rarely needed to wait on hold for more than a few minutes. It the situations requiring a more complex solution, although it may take extended time for our collective wisdom to figure out what is going on, we've yet to have an issue not eventually resolved. In a few cases, where incoming Trading Partner data anomalies such as missing and/or invalid key fields are received in the 850 PO, the TC support team worked with us so we can now override certain fields in Foundry during the export process, by exception, so we do not have to re-create transaction(s) manually in our ERP system. This saves significant time in our data entry and minimizes other entry mistakes which inherently enables a smoother outbound transaction flow related to the coming PO such as the ASN and Invoice. When we wanted to consolidate and simplify several existing integration platforms into one, competitive rates, and my experience with TrueCommerce support made them the logical choice. In the past nine months, we have grown from 3 Trading Partners to what will soon be 8 using the Foundry Platform. **What do you dislike about TrueCommerce EDI?** The new Trading Partner establishment and testing process is very inefficient process of endless emails. Sequential, recursive testing is inherent to integrating applications because as soon as one roadblock is overcome, there are inevitably a handful more lined up behind it that need to be resolved and ultimately fine-tuned to make the integration robust. It would be much more efficient to have one or two working multi-stakeholder calls, that include the Implementation Specialist, an Integration Developer and the End Customer in-which a given transaction type could be tested, tweaked, resolved, re-tested, tweaked again, resolved etc. until it is working. The process currently takes weeks due to the slow feedback loop and queues between each small step in the resolution process. Our integrations typically start with the 850 PO. Once a test 850 PO is available from the respective Trading Partner, the integration of the 850 could be done in a fraction of the time if the test/document/wait queues were eliminated via a live call. Once the 850 PO is complete, I find the ASN and Invoice steps to be less painful, however, they too could be streamlined in one call to verify functionality. **What problems is TrueCommerce EDI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automating the order entry, ASN, Invoice and Inventory Update process with various higher volumne trading partners. ### 50. Improves operational efficiency and communication and TrueCommerce has thousands of trading partners. All aspects of the order, supply chain and invoicing process are housed under one platform. TrueCommerce allows you to acknowlege, ASN, and Invoice with the ability to search past transmittal of orders. Inputting of manual orders is not required due to the intergraton of downloading/transmits the orders directly into our Quickbooks system. In addition the customer services is very detailed when providing assistance. The cost vs other EDI systems is very reasonable. **What do you dislike about TrueCommerce EDI?** The wait time to speak to a customer service specalist can be frustrating at times. The orders transmit into Quickbooks are downloaded as sales orders and still need to be converted into invoices which can be time consuming if you larger distributors. **What problems is TrueCommerce EDI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time when processing orders. Mistakes when inputting orders and invoices.
