## Tripleseat Reviews
  ### 1. Considered option

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

Typography and the banner on the left with the icons.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

I dislike that in discussions the email thred format is horizontal and not vertical it would be nice to have it vertical and on the right side of the page. I also would like it if somehow if the emails from outlook were checked it would automatically disappear the notification on triple seat discussions. Also if the was an option to have a separate page for holding next day orders that could just be accessed directly.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The new layout is a better with a small learning curve.

  ### 2. Sales & Event Manager Gather Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica D. | Sales and Event Manager, Hospitality, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

I like the look and layout of the program. I also enjoy that the email communication will link to my gmail account. It is very easy to edit.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

I do not like that you can not add internal notes for the kitchen. There are details that I need to add on the event summaries that I do not need to client seeing. To have to go back and add/delete these items between my "chef BEO" and "event summary" is time consuming and tedious.

Clients get confused with seeing the Gather email address and a lot of them have a hard time with the links. As tech forward as society is now, people seem to still enjoy being sent pdfs vs. links. Also I have had the issue of running into firewalls with the Gather email communication. Some companies can't even receive the email.

**Recommendations to others considering Tripleseat:**

Very user friendly. You will have to train your client a bit on how to use the portal and watch out for your Gather emails being routed to SPAM or the client not recognizing that it is actually coming from you. Beyond that the layout is clear and the features are easy to use/update.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The reports are easy to pull and help with tracking sales goals, seeing trends and following up with leads. Gather is also very easy to edit when it comes to adding in notes, menus and templates.

  ### 3. Mediocre with potential

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah S. | Business Development + Communications Manager, Professional Training & Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

We like the team communication function, and the ability to sent proposals that clients can view and that live updates. I like the format, design, and the ability to message with the team.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

I don't like that I can't click to find out which proposals have been signed on the dashboard - I can only see that X number WERE signed, but not which one. I also wish that signing a proposal would also automatically switch an event from "tentative" to "confirmed".

We don't like that this has not evolved to fit our needs since we are NOT a restaurant. The lack of Quickbooks integration is a point of major frustration. It would also be helpful to have a multi-day event booking process.

**Recommendations to others considering Tripleseat:**

I think this is likely great for a restaurants but troublesome to adapt to venues without catering needs.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to manage multiple spaces within a venue. It's helped us see the full scope of communication with clients which we love. We have not been able to integrate the payment gateway because it does not use Quickbooks.

  ### 4. Using One Calendar for All of Our Events is Great!

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claire C. | Motorsport Event Coordinator, Entertainment, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

I like that the calendar has the feature for confirmed, leads and tentative events. Also, being able to upload documents to the events so all documentation for that event is in one place. Being able to enter in pricing and payment to receive actuals is very beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

My department dislikes that we can not book multiple day events in the calendar. This is a HUGE issue for us.

We are an event venue and can have long events that last up to 3 weeks. This also causes confusing when multiple people are uploading documents to an event because for example the 3 week event has 3 weeks of separate booked days on the calendar and we've ran into the problem where documents are uploaded to the wrong day. We also run into the issue when closing out the program after all payment has been receive, it's time consuming closing out each individual day on the calendar.

Wish we could select the spaces the event is using all at one, like a checkbox list. It's time consuming to select each space separately.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We finally have all departments in the company using the same calendar instead but having 4 separate calendars. Also, double booking an event has been happening less since using Gather. Make's it easier to track that we have received payment.

**Official Response from Elizabeth Cleaves:**

> Thanks so much for your feedback, Claire! This is the kind of software evaluation that makes us better as a company. Working with multi-day bookings is a feature that we are constantly improving, and your specific use case will definitely be helpful when providing our Product Team with a more detailed workflow. If you have any further questions or feedback, please feel free to reach out to our Support Team Monday thru Friday from 9:30am until 5:30pm EST at support@gatherhere.com :)

  ### 5. Pretty Good!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** EmmaLeigh D. | Event Coordinator, Restaurants, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

I really like how EASY it is to use Gather. It is very straightforward. I am able to quickly and efficiently organize myself and my team for upcoming events even when clients make last minute changes.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

I wish I was able to customize some tabs for the BEO. I also would really like to have a "Call Log" area so that way I am more organized with each of my clients.

**Recommendations to others considering Tripleseat:**

I would absolutely recommend it. It is a great program and system to help you and your employees stay organized.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problems we are solving by using Gather is to stay organized. We have been more efficient with booking events and communicating as a team.

  ### 6. Easy but limited

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

Training staff has been easy and mostly seamless. Daily Digest emails are a great feature and lets all staff have the access to the information they need.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

Reporting options are horrible and are focused on finances only. There is no reporting that works for our needs at all. I am trying to work around it but may need to cancel my subscription when it expires due to this issue.

Communication within our team is great but sharing information with other departments (e.g. facilities or security) is challenging as they don't want to read an entire BEO to find the one sentence that maybe pertains to them but I cannot filter by events by specific needs.

Booking process is easy for our staff but has been confusing for some of our clients.

Calendar sharing with Google Calendar is nice but I would also like to export via iCal or another format that allows the calendar to be viewed in Outlook, which is our administrative calendar of choice.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Combining two calendars into one software was the goal and mostly that has worked well. Having a singular function for event invoices

  ### 7. Need more reports...

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

Access and ease of navigating the system. Finding bookings is really easy, and making changes seems to be easy.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

I run Accounting for a resort that has hundreds of events a year and we recently incorporated Gather as a way to generate easy to access BEOs. We also opted to take payments through Gather, and I need to have a detailed summary report daily with a breakdown of the different revenue groups, payments taken split out into tender type, and totals. This isn't currently possible and is generating a large amount of additional work to record.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing customers to view invoices and make online payments is beneficial.

  ### 8. Flank

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannah P. | Private Dining Coordinator, Restaurants, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

great system. looking for further additions to the program

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

That is not compatible with outlook. would be useful for a calendar purposes,
- you can't edit documents on the app
- doesn't sync with open table
-that you can't add additional questions to feedback
- would like a timestamp on when client signs contract
- would like a networking option for leads

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a system and so we went with gather

  ### 9. Gather event software

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

Clean design, chef beo vs event beo option is smart, having a documents setting for uploads is good for floor plans and other additional info. Weekly emails are helpful and the messenger app is a nice feature.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

notifications for changed and added events within a certain time frame is a huge opportunity here, and absolutely the biggest source of frustration among our users

Would like a better way to download documents- a "download all " button for BEO, chef BEO, cc auth, etc rather than downloading them all individually. The restaurant industry moves fast and gather could streamline it usability to work better with that speed. Event packages, with all information ready to go for an event sent as an email would be huge.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather allows us to have all of the communication in once place, even f it is sometimes difficult or inconvenient to access.

**Official Response from Elizabeth Cleaves:**

> Thanks so much for taking the time to fill out our survey! We definitely appreciate your feedback, and we want you to know that we're definitely keeping track of your input and relaying it to our Development Team on a consistent basis. This is what facilitates new product releases and pushes for software improvement, so please never hesitate to relay this information to our team. I've gone in and logged your points of frustration with our Product Team, but if you have any further communication about these points, please reach out to our Support team at support@gatherhere.com :) We're always more than happy to help!

  ### 10. First time organization software mgmt program I have used...

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heidi R. | Account Manager, Events Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

It's very user friendly with easy features to navigate through. Great for organization of a data base of clients to show booked and ones that are still being worked on.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

Would love more reminders to help a sales staff follow up and the lead list gets very long without a way to filter so you have to go through pages and pages to go in and out of each lead to find out who's it is.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Need a larger grasp on our potential clients that haven't booked. Benefits are showing overall bookings in a week or month

  ### 11. Gather Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Winston A. | Communications Coordinator, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

Being able to access my data on any device.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

A more comprehensive calendar view in the mobile app would be helpful.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a freelancer for a business, being able to only focus on accessing the info i need instead of learning how to navigate the app

  ### 12. Helpful platform, but wish there were more customization features

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

Their email templates make it incredibly easy to respond to an inbound inquiry.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

I wish there were better customization and reporting features available. Additionally, I do wish there was a more robust CMS focus for the platform.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Gather platform allows us to better track and manage all the event inquiries we receive, as well as calculate our client success rate.

  ### 13. Gather helps us produce BEO's and Invoices for our clients.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

It's an easy interface to use, very clean. The program is user friendly and fairly easy to customize.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

It is not as easy for the client to use, there is no way to print out a comprehensive menu with pricing.
I wish there was a way to put 2 - 3 day events in the system as well. We host conferences and it makes for a lot of paperwork for the client.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Invoicing the client, tracking payments.

  ### 14. I am satisfied with using Gather

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott D. | Corporate Executive Chef, Food & Beverages, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

The calendar and the split of different BEO formats.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

There should be a better summary for the day's bookings.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication between the event staff and the kitchen staff has improved.

  ### 15. The Transition from my previous event platform to Gather was smooth and straight forward.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

I really like that I am able to do everything from booking the event to taking deposits through the same platform!

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

The organizational structure of being able to decipher between which leads I have answered and which leads still need to be answered could be better!

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit is time saving / efficiency!

  ### 16. Good overall, still room for growth

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Tripleseat?**

I like the ability to receive leads and connect with the guest.

**What do you dislike about Tripleseat?**

I don't like that it does not sink with outlook nor does it send alerts when there is an upcoming party.

**Recommendations to others considering Tripleseat:**

It is user friendly and makes it very easy to connect to a guests needs.

**What problems is Tripleseat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

generating more business and generating a more professional look and feel to the guest.
