"One tool for the whole fleet, not just Macs"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Trio?

Most of our team runs on MacBooks, but we always had pockets of Windows in finance and operations plus a small iPhone fleet for the sales team. Our prior tool only really handled the Mac side cleanly, so Windows ended up drifting and our iPhones were half-managed through Apple Business Manager alone. Trio MDM put all of it under one console with one renewal date and a per license cost in USD that worked for our finance team. The admin view is readable without a deep training course. New hires on Mac or Windows can be enrolled in around 6 minutes instead of the 25 to 40 minute song and dance we used to run. Support replies same day, which we have leaned on twice already. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trio?

Custom alert routing into Slack could be more flexible. We pipe device compliance alerts into our IT channel, but the channel routing is broad. We want to send critical alerts to one channel and informational ones to another without writing glue code on top. Fine, just a wish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Trio solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were a Mac shop on paper, but finance ran on Windows laptops and the sales team carried company iPhones. The Mac side was managed well by our prior tool, while Windows machines drifted along with manual setup checklists and iPhones lived in a half-managed Apple Business Manager state. Audit prep for SOC 2 meant pulling device inventory from three places and stitching it together in a spreadsheet. After moving to Trio MDM we have one console showing every device in one inventory, with policy state visible per OS. Enrollment time dropped from 25 to 40 minutes per device to about 6 minutes. SOC 2 evidence gathering that used to take a full week before each review now takes a day. We also cut roughly 30 percent on our total MDM spend by moving onto a single contract that covers every OS we run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Endpoint Engineer

"Day-to-day endpoint work without the menu hunting"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Trio?

On a day-to-day basis the thing I notice most is how predictable bulk operations are. Pushing a policy change across our Windows laptops and shop floor Android handhelds runs in minutes, with clear status per device when something fails. That replaced a workflow where I would touch devices individually or wait an hour for a queue to clear. The Android Enterprise side has real depth too. Kiosk profiles, app pinning, and zero-touch enrollment all hold up across the handheld models we use on the shop floor. Remote actions like wipe, lock, and configuration push are quick and confirmation is logged. For an engineer, having those primitives behave reliably is what makes the tool worth using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trio?

The documentation covers the common workflows well but thins out on advanced cases. When I am scripting something against the API or chaining a less common policy combination, I sometimes end up checking with support instead of finding it in the docs. Support handles it quickly, but I would like the docs to carry more of that weight. Not a dealbreaker, just a wish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Trio solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before this my workflow was split across multiple consoles depending on what I needed to do. Patching was one place, mobile was another, configuration drift checks were a third. Verifying device state for an ISO 27001 spot check could take half an afternoon of tab switching and CSV exports. Today I work mostly out of one console. Policy push is fast, status is clear per device, and when I need to bulk apply or revert a change across the fleet I can do it without writing a wrapper script around the previous tool. Onboarding new shop floor handhelds dropped to under 5 minutes per device. Day to day, I get more done in the same hours, which is the real benefit. The audit work my manager runs has gotten faster too, but that is her win to talk about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Console, Smooth Multi-OS Enrollment, and Fast Human Support"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Trio?

The console reads well on day one. We did not need a week of training to get our team productive. Within the first month we had Windows, Mac, and Android devices enrolled under one set of policies, which was a real change from what we had before. The single contract for every OS in our fleet matters for budget conversations with finance. One renewal date, one vendor, predictable per license cost in USD. Support has been the other big shift. When we open a ticket we get a real human within hours, not days, and they know the product. That cuts down our time chasing answers and lets us focus on the actual ISO 27001 work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trio?

Scheduled report exports could be more flexible. We pull a few reports manually each month for our ISO 27001 evidence trail since the export schedule does not cover every report type yet. The reports themselves are fine. The automation around them is what we want filled out a bit more. Not a dealbreaker, just a wish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Trio solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before this, our setup had us juggling separate modules for patching, mobile devices, and configuration, with different consoles and add-on costs that piled up. New laptop builds for our office staff took around 30 minutes of hand-holding per device, and our shop floor Android handhelds were a different workflow entirely. We moved to Trio MDM about nine months ago. Enrollment dropped to under 5 minutes per device on Windows, and the Android side runs from the same console, which our help desk picked up fast. We got our ISO 27001 audit prep done with one fleet view instead of stitching reports across modules, which saved real hours during the audit window. Our renewal came in lower per license than what we were paying for the prior tool plus its add-on modules. Offboarding is the cleanest part now. One workflow, no leftovers. "One MDM that handles Windows properly for compliance teams"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Trio?

We run a mostly Windows fleet with a handful of MacBooks for leadership, and compliance reporting for our PCI DSS audit cycle was the main reason we started shopping around. What stood out about Trio MDM right away was how cleanly the Windows management side works. Policies deploy reliably, you can verify device state without digging through four menus, and the compliance view gives us a full-fleet snapshot we can hand to an auditor. The admin console is readable without a training course. Before our last audit prep, we had a full-fleet compliance report ready in under 30 minutes. The support team responds the same day, which matters when a deployment issue comes up at the wrong time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trio?

The Entra integration works and device groups sync over fine, but mapping Entra groups to Trio MDM policies still requires some manual steps on the Trio MDM side. I would like to see that mapping handled more automatically when a user joins or moves between groups. Not a dealbreaker, but it is the one workflow I still track manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Trio solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we moved to Trio MDM, audit prep was the main pain point. Our previous MDM could not generate a clean compliance status report across all devices, so we were exporting CSVs, cleaning them manually, and putting together a spreadsheet for our PCI DSS review every quarter. That process took two people roughly three days each time. Policy state verification required logging into devices directly, which added hours to each review cycle. After switching, Windows machine enrollment runs in under five minutes. We ran our last audit prep entirely through the built-in compliance dashboard and had a full-fleet report ready in under 30 minutes. Offboarding is now clean and logged from start to finish. The Mac side gets the same policy coverage as Windows, so we are not managing two separate workflows for one fleet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"HR friendly MDM solution"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Trio?

Trio Technology MDM solution is a next generation app. Not only it focuses on app management and device onboarding, it can be used by the HR team to easily on board or off board the new hires. the integration with the ABM has made it easy to make volume purchase of tools, and I appreciate it. It doesn't take long for the user to upload the token and get the certificate, so I can say I quite like that. It takes a while to fully get the app running, but it is not complicated. It's the app IT admins need to better manage devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trio?

Learning how to work with it is a challenge. We need to use it everday. so it must be built in a way people can avoid conflicts running the app. The support services for this app should provide the user with clear instructions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Trio solving and how is that benefiting you?

Trio MDM solution is designed to facilitate the device management tasks at work. Company security and the compliance ar also other issues to be taken care of, and Trio does that. It's a multifunctional IT solution covering HR, app management, device management and department management. It works great for big companies with a lot of onboarded devices.
