There are a few little bugs around naming speakers. And I haven't yet figured out how to process multi-lingual interviews. Also, a little expensive if you don't use it constantly. Usually when we return from a film shoot, we have a lot of new footage and audio to ingest and a lot of interviews we want transcribed. Using only PAs, that process used to take weeks, but with Trint we can turn around machine transcripts in a few hours of receiving proxies, and then we just need our PAs to go in and correct them. Their transcription is VERY accurate which is the highest priority for us. We often even have videos with uncommon scientific terms, and it does a very good job of getting most of them right. Their editor can glitch from time to time, where we will edit an entire transcript, and then for some reason it doesn't save it, which can be frustrating. Also, sometimes their editor doesn't load and we have to leave and come back an hour later to try it, because we just can't get it to load. So sometimes it's buggy. Automatic transcription is fantastic - it works in the background so I can move onto my next task in the meantime. It is so easy to create transcripts of everything, making admin and notes a breeze. I love that I am able to receive UNLIMITED transcripts versus having to worry about a new transaction each time with other software. I remember our accounting books would have tons of receipts while we just one receipt each month for the unlimited transcripts. Huge help. I also love how you can stay organized within the software and create folders for each client. They are also constantly innovating and now we can copy/paste new text in the software as well. It is versatile and takes a really short time to produce good level transcriptions. It is very easy to use and the document that it produces are well formatted. When you work with data on different languages it would be useful to be able to modify text on Trint. Another issue is that it recognises English way better than other languages. The interface and whole UX is pretty clear and friendly, very easy to use. What do you dislike about Trint? You need a little bit of training to be able to use the product fluently to edit the whole transcription, it has a learning curve. It is so user friendly and really helpful when putting a script together. We love how you can listen to the interviews and also how when you cut and paste, it grabs the time code. The only thing we would prefer is if we could share individual transcripts with our clients so that they could listen to interviews as well. But, otherwise - no complaints! Trint can handle hours of content without trouble and it can turn around transcripts within minutes. It is a vital part of our process now with content that contains hours and hours of interviews. You would expect to be able to type and edit the transcripts as if they were a word document or google doc, but there are some annoying inconsistencies that get in the way of smooth workflows. Trint offers an intuitive interface for uploading, transcribing, and managing video content. Easy way to keep content organized and review the sync between video and text.
