Often, the individuals I interview have international accents -- not your typical Midwestern drawl. But Trint often understands words that I wasn't able to listening to the actual audio. That has really impressed me and made my job a lot easier. **What do you dislike about Trint?** We have some industry terms that are used frequently that Trint doesn't know, so I always have to change them. I wish there was an AI aspect that -- once I've changed it once or twice -- would automatically begin to recognize those terms. Trint sometimes has trouble recognizing the different speaker voices if more than 1 person is in the recorded conversation, so I have to change the speaker name frequently when reviewing a transcript. That's annoying but not usually a big problem. **What problems is Trint solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a writer, I do a lot of interviews. I "grew up" taking notes and having to go back and relisten to my recordings to ensure I got the quote correct. Now, I can concentrate on listening to the speaker, asking questions, and then letting Trint do the transcription. It saves so many hours of my time. It's hard for me to imagine doing an interview any other way. ### 2. I also like that clicking somewhere in the transcription automatically takes the audio to that part of the recording. I wish it could pick up lower voices or mumbled words better. **What do you dislike about Trint?** Sometimes after I set speaker one and speaker 2, it jumbles them up later in the document as I edit transcriptions. **What problems is Trint solving and how is that benefiting you?** in the end, it isn't accurate enough to solve my problem because it takes the same amount of time editing the transcriptions as it would take to type up my narratives. I still like using it because it includes timestamps, and I can take the transcription and edit it for the essential parts only. ### 3. We often even have videos with uncommon scientific terms, and it does a very good job of getting most of them right. **What do you dislike about Trint?** Their editor can glitch from time to time, where we will edit an entire transcript, and then for some reason it doesn't save it, which can be frustrating. Also, sometimes their editor doesn't load and we have to leave and come back an hour later to try it, because we just can't get it to load. It's also very useful if you're handling a lot of audio, since you can highlight and bring some pieces of different audios together. **What do you dislike about Trint?** You need a little bit of training to be able to use the product fluently to edit the whole transcription, it has a learning curve. It is already necessary to edit the transcripts, but you notice a clear difference in quality between native speakers and people with the language transcribed as a second language. The more clearly people speak, the better it works, of course. Even with slight dialects, the transcription still works well, and editing takes much less time than a complete manual transcription. **What do you dislike about Trint?** Occasionally there were problems accessing transcripts, especially with regard to loading the associated audio/video source.
