"Simplifies HR Management with Responsive Support"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet?

I appreciate that TriNet keeps things simple for me, especially since I have employees in multiple states. It really helps me cut down on time managing each state's taxes and keeps everything in one place for my team. I really enjoy that TriNet has really responsive and educated customer support that's accessible both by phone and chat. Plus, having everything connected in the HRIS and access to email is something I like. Additionally, I've found setting up TriNet easy at other places I've worked. What do you dislike about TriNet?

I think the leave of absence process is very manual with documents, and that is less than ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless HR Management, Highly Recommended"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet?

I use TriNet for everything, like benefits and time off. It makes things very simple and is very easy to navigate. I can request time off by myself, check my tax forms, and manage my benefits all in one place. The simplicity and straightforward nature of the app are great because everything is available on one website, so I don’t have to search elsewhere. Even when I'm in a rush, I can easily find what I need. Requesting time off and locating tax forms is very easy, and the initial setup was extremely easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

I wish we could see more perks, and have the giveaways be more easily won. I feel like there's no point to enter them. There was one month every day I entered and I feel like it was pointless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Offline Clock-In and Time Filters, but Amending Time in TriNet Is Hard"
3.5/5
What do you like best about TriNet?

The clock in feature when not having internet is nicely done. I do like the ability for me to see my time worked and filter it by date ranges, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

I do not like how difficult it is to amend my times on trinet, as I often cannot easily see where my pending time change requests on the mobile app. I do not like that I have to sign in every time, I wish I could create a pin on the app so that I could sign in faster. I do not like that the mobile app does not have the same capabilities as the web app, and that there have to be two different apps on mobile. I do not like that I have to know my super long ID number for my mobile sign in too. I do not like that TriNet's pages are all different sites, such as Benefits. Integrate your sites better please. "Amazing, Clear App with Fast, Human Support"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet?

What stands out to me about TriNet is that it provides an all-in-one solution for so many important business functions, including payroll, HR, benefits, and compliance. I especially like the combination of technology and personalized support. The online tools make everyday tasks more efficient, while clients can still access knowledgeable professionals when they have more complex questions. Since I have experience supporting multiple companies and managing detailed financial and administrative responsibilities, I appreciate how TriNet helps businesses streamline those processes and focus more on growing their business. I also like that TriNet supports both employers and employees by making important information and resources easier to access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

One feature I would like to see improved is the ability to customize reports and dashboards more easily. Since every business tracks different information, having more flexibility to create reports that show the most relevant payroll, HR, or employee data would be helpful. I would also like to see more streamlined navigation so that frequently used information and tasks are easier to find without going through multiple screens. "Easy Navigation and Smooth SSO for 401K, Benefits, and TriNet Perks"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet?

The site is pretty easy to navigate. I mainly use it for my 401K, during Open Enrollment to make benefit selections and to access TriNet Perks for deals on everyday items I need to buy, especially when I’m planning a trip. I have login information for my 401K provider, but I find it rather easy to login to TriNet and then use their SSO to log me into the 401K provider. During Open Enrollment, it navigates to external sites easily for me to access information that is helpful in making my selections. From time to time, I also log in to review my paycheck information. I typically use the website during daytime/work hours when I need something, but I use the app more during non-work hours—usually to confirm something on my paycheck or to check TriNet Perks for something I’m trying to purchase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

I haven’t experienced any downsides so far. The only improvement I’d like is an easier way to access TriNet Perks without having to log in directly every time—maybe through a separate app or something similar. Other than that, my experience has been fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Positive Transition For Our Company"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TriNet?

For me specifically, I came from using different brokers and systems for benefits, 401k, and payroll. The transition to having everything in one place with TriNet was game changing and we saw a significant cost saving. In addition to that, I have had the same support team from the get-go. I don't know if that is the case for everybody, but I have truly valued not having to transition to various people and being able to build that rapport. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

I think there are some features I really wish could be implemented. For example, in our old time off system, you couldn't request time off if you didn't have enough hours (it considered any future hours as well). But with TriNet, if a supervisor isn't monitoring every individual's hours and they approve the request, it allows employees to go into the negative. I also wish the time & attendance system allowed for more features. For example, with Paycom, we could set a parameter where employees could not clock back in from lunch until they met their 30 minutes to ensure compliance. They are small things, but it would really help if those could be enabled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Payroll and HR Compliance Tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TriNet?

I love that TriNet is a multi-purpose tool with everything in one interface, which is incredibly convenient. The UI of the main screen is intuitive and easy to navigate, and I've never had feedback from an employee with trouble finding what they're looking for. The initial setup was very easy, and our integration team was excellent, providing helpful insights, especially since we were essentially a brand new team. It's nice to have well-versed people to rely on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

Certain modules, like the time and attendance module, feel less integrated because they take you off the main platform and into a new tab. The time and attendance module doesn't flow as smoothly as the main interface. It involves more steps and is a bit more confusing, especially for bi-weekly timesheet users, as you have to process the timesheet in that module, download a file, and then reupload it to the payroll module within TriNet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ashley Dyslin of TriNet

All-in-one is what we do! Thanks for sharing your great experience with TriNet and our team, Michael. We appreciate your feedback and will share with our team internally.

"Intuitive UI with Knowledgeable Support"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet?

The user interface is very intuitive for our staff. The Manager/Admin portal is also fairly intuitive and accompanies by a breadth of available resources. Submitting support tickets is easy with real-time visibility and tracking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

At times it can be challenging to determine who the right point of contact is for urgent requests. The ticketing system is great but on occasion it is nice to have a single point of contact to pick up the phone and connect with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Management of Time and Benefits"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet?

What I like best about TriNet is how seamlessly it brings everything HR-related into one easy-to-use platform. The interface is clean and well-organized, and the navigation tabs make it simple to move between functions like time management, payroll, benefits, and HR documents without having to dig through multiple menus.

I use the Time & Attendance section most often—it’s straightforward to clock in or adjust time punches, and the summary view makes it clear how many hours I’ve logged. The Time Off feature is also great since it shows my remaining PTO balance in real time, and submitting a request takes just a few clicks.

Another part I use regularly is the Benefits section. I can easily compare plan details, check coverage info, or download documents like insurance cards without contacting HR. The Payroll tab is also incredibly handy—it gives me quick access to pay stubs, W-2s, and tax details all in one place.

Overall, TriNet has streamlined my workflow by centralizing everything. I don’t have to email HR for routine questions or forms, and I can handle most tasks—like updating personal info or reviewing pay history—on my own. That convenience has saved me time and reduced small administrative roadblocks day to day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet?

I don’t have any major dislikes about TriNet at this point. From my research, the company appears well-regarded, though like many growing organizations, there are always opportunities to streamline communication and improve user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
