As compared to JMeter , We found it more easy to record the performance scripts and play back. This tool has a very simple user interface that lets us record and execute the script locally first before we can try it executing in NeoLoad Web portal. We can also validate the user flow recorded by running the script against single virtual user this helps to avoid error while running it for more number of virtual users. What do you dislike about Tricentis Neoload? As this is not an open source tool , cost is a bit high but compared to the enterprise level features that it offers it is understandable. We are currently exploring this tool to satisfy the non-functional test requirements of our application from performance perspectives. We initially wanted to try JMeter as it was open source but looking at the enterprise level features available in NeoLoad , Team decided to perform a proof of concept on NeoLoad. Neoload is one of the most popular open source systems for testing applications and also scripted desktop application. It is designed to test the functional software performance of web applications. It also allows the developers to test the heavy load applications and help analyze the performance and strength of such applications by examining different load types. However, it has some limitations to it that would be better but it is very difficult. One is that, it does not offer detailed documentation for its features and how to make the best use of it. Proper documentation would help users to learn best because it is difficult at the first time at how to use this product. NeoLoad is a great method to check outcomes. When reviewing the test results, it allows the stakeholder to understand them and to make changes based on comments or recommendations. The design of experiments and installation of the testing environment is the beginning of a standard performance test plan, and NeoLoad is perfect for this. When the use of energy decreases on the device, then NeoLoad's performance slows down too. There is a possibility that the results may be disrupted if the data fields on the website are modified. Also, it has limited scripts, and I think they should be produced in many other ventures. To combat this, we submit the information as a CSV-file for the overview chart and load it into Excel. NeoLoad is a very customer-friendly and simple platform. Its main strength is its reaction time and the measurement, as it meets the needs of the participant. Also, it gives the opportunity to check improvements by moving to another server for precise quality estimation. What do you dislike about Tricentis Neoload? Although syntax highlights is available on NeoLoad, it's often very difficult to find the position of the cursor. Also, the diagram displaying the representation of all the reaction times on a particular map is not well described, making it hard to find, specially when you're starting to use the software. We decided to stick with it because it has proven to be sufficient to manage and execute different functions quickly. NeoLoad develops the scripts to log your session when browsing the test request. It makes really easy to build sample output scripts, as it provides the capability to speed up transactions at higher rates while recognizing main performance points. Also, NeoLoad has units which allow OS metrics to be collected from the location host and correlate the data to stack test results, and as the code modules are not used to collect these metrics on the host, it doesn't take many scripting work. What do you dislike about Tricentis Neoload? NeoLoad allows JavaScript only and there is no provision for VT3270 remote console to help mainframe-hosted programs. Also, the Team Server model should be changed in such a manner that it does not have to be discussed in every occasion a task is built, because it takes more time. When you save something, it saves everything, takes ~3 mins in our case. When we try to start the test It loads all the SQL data variables to setup data and then uses that data to run the test.
