The upside in Trengo comes two-fold. First, it is more affordable than similar alternatives. Second, the user experience and features are at the top of the game (from my experience). Our team was immediately satisfied with the service and is still happy after a few months of daily use. The onboarding experience, where I was guided by multiple fantastic people at Trengo, most notably Charlotte Beenen, was smooth. We had total control and a good overview. Trengo assists us in supporting customer service; additionally, it is a program with multiple functions because we can manage all communication through one platform. The contact I have with Nickey is excellent. I send an email and get a quick response. She resolves issues by either calling me or assisting me through an online meeting. Customer service is one of those things that is a complete pain if you haven't set it up properly. If you need customer support from a customer support platform provider you can wait for days on them as well. The quickest turnaround time we got over the years is 3 days and 80% of the times not helpful at all.

We started using Trengo about 3 years ago. It stood out against the likes of Intercom and HubSpot in terms of pricing. It addresses the channels that we use most. It allows us to coordinate across remote teams, though the inbox feature did not scale as well as we hoped. It was easy to implement and needs little training to use. It is really diffucult to setup, use and get used to. I hate that you cannot start a whatsapp conversation without a template and the fact that after 24 hours the conversation needs to be restarted. You cannot see emojiis, or reply to messages. There area a lot of features that are lacking that are available in almost all communication platforms that Trengo integrates with. Because our foundation is growing rapidly, there are also more and more communication channels. Since we have to organize everything with a relatively small team that consists entirely of volunteers, it is crucial for us to set this up efficiently. We are dealing with a very vulnerable group where clear and timely communication is indispensable. Before the implementation of Trengo, different volunteers worked in different systems. But if a volunteer dropped out, it was often very unclear to determine the status of contacts. With the help of Trengo, we now have this mapped out very clearly.
Additionally, as a foundation, we also have to account to our supporters and grant providers. Through Trengo, we can very effectively map out how many contact moments there are per channel.
Charlotte Beenen helped us perfectly during the onboarding. She gave us very useful tips and kept pointing out new features that we had not yet discovered ourselves. The onboarding therefore went very smoothly and easily. We still haven't been able to discover everything, but we are extremely happy with the support from Trengo and the discount they offer to non-profit organizations.
