TrendMicro is a complete solution for antivirus protection, as it protects against viruses in general that traditionally threaten computers, but also protects against spyware, ransomware, Trojans and other malicious programs that try to damage or take over the computer. the program is excellent however you have to buy an additional package for the protection of our youngest children, which I consider should be part of all the packages offered by the company, so it is convenient that you consider them to be part of all the versions. What I like most about TrendMicro is how it protects you from the threats that are nowadays in the network, it protects you against ransomware, spyware and viruses in general, which makes it a complete option for the protection of your system and files. of your computer, it should be noted that it helps to protect emails, which means that you will not be surprised by hidden Trojans and viruses, which abound on the internet, on the other hand it helps you recover the computers that have been taken as hostages for viruses that do not allow you to use the computer, trendmicro solves you eliminating any threat from the system. few things I do not like trendmicro, however I must mention that the fact of the installer file only allows to protect a single computer is a disadvantage to consider, this version does not have protection for the navigation of children, also does not have an administrator of passwords, and highlights the fact that it does not protect privacy in your social networks. I recommend TrendMicro, since once installed in the system it consumes little memory of the system, it shows you constant notifications of the work you are doing, it also protects against Internet threats perfectly, and highlights the protection against ransomware, which in my case was a headache until the start of trendmicro that eliminated all vesige of those malicious viruses that seek to damage your computer. TrendMicro has allowed me to regain control of my work computer, as it was possessed by what they call a ransomware, those viruses that block your screen and you can not do anything, just by using the program it was possible to regain control of the pc, which saved more practical options for its elimination, the program made it safe and easy with just a few steps. What do you like best about Trend Micro Antivirus + Security?

I've been using different versions of Trend for over 10 years, and the new XGen really seems to work well. We used Officescan at a previous employer, and we started here with OS and then moved to XG. So far, no zero-days, no ransomware (knock on wood). Reasonable memory useage, good single-console mgmt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trend Micro Antivirus + Security?

Sometimes getting the client loaded is a little tricky (we used PDQ deploy and it generally works very well). If a previous version of Officescan is loaded, it can sometimes (rarely) crash and you have to manually remove the registry entries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Trend Micro Antivirus + Security:

Do the trial and do diligence. There are a lot of pieces (Vulnerabilty Protection, Encryption, Cloud) to look at. We evaluated this against Dell Endpoint, Sophos and CarbonBlack. What do you like best about Trend Micro Antivirus + Security?

It is an antivirus with a very good reputation, you just have to read the reviews that people give about it. It has a quite user-friendly interface, although there are better ones, it is relatively easy to use. It protects against a multitude of threats, including phishing, malware, and spam. It integrates perfectly with Windows 10 and MacOS environments, although for the latter there is only an English version. Trend Micro works with cloud-based antivirus security, also known as "Smart Protection Network," allowing you to work very securely both locally and on the network. Thanks to its parental protection system, it will allow you to limit or filter access to certain websites that are considered inappropriate or harmful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trend Micro Antivirus + Security?

To mention a negative point, note that when uninstalling it, there may be some problems; it is a bit delicate in that regard. On the other hand, also highlight that the scan can be somewhat slow to complete. It shows too little information from the different reports or detections, I think this should be improved in future versions. For example, it is configured so that the antivirus practically does everything automatically, aiming for maximum simplicity for the user, without asking what to do, the antivirus makes these decisions for you by default. To change it, you have to delve deeply into its different options, which for a more advanced user, initially reduces decision-making, although it can be changed as I have already mentioned. An occasional false alarm but, as a business solution, practical and not overly problematic. There have been instances when a website has been flagged as dangerous but easy to correct (provided it is indeed safe), and better safe than sorry.
