## About Trello
Trello is a free product that works like the digital version of a sticky note. Capture your to-do's as cards on Trello and organize them into lists to stay on top of your tasks and deadlines no matter the undertaking—from planning a wedding to feeling organized at work. Trello is beloved by millions around the world for its easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface that helps you visualize exactly what needs to get done. Trello lets you take to-do’s from wherever you’re working and consolidate them all into one place: 📩 If you get an email you need to follow up on, forward it to inbox@app.trello.com and it’ll turn into a Trello card that you can drag-and-drop to the right Trello board and add a due date. 🕸️ Download the Trello browser extension for Chrome to clip any aspect of a webpage as a Trello card. 💬 If you use apps like Slack, Teams, Jira or Loom in the workplace, Trello integrates with each to make it easy to capture content and centralize all your work tasks into a single unified view on Trello. 🤳 With Trello on your phone or tablet, you can use the app to create cards on Trello fast while on-the-go. Add a widget to your home screen on iOS or Android, make an “Add to Inbox” shortcut on iOS, or say “Siri, add a card to Trello.” You’ll find everything saved as new cards in your Trello Inbox, ready to be edited and organized onto any board when you’re ready. Add due dates, comments, checklists, and files to individual cards and use colors, labels, images and stickers to create a beautiful kanban board tailored to your needs. You can also add a Google or Outlook calendar account to easily see your entire schedule inside Trello. Drag-and-drop a Trello card onto the Trello Planner tab to block focus time on your calendar to get that task done. Sign up for free at trello.com/home.

## Trello Reviews
 ### 1. Trello Boards

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David D. | Project Manager / Sales Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Trello was a beginners tool for us. Projects were easily put into boardds and you could assign each board with task via color code and separation.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

You would have this long list of boards that you would have to scroll back and forth with - horizontally. It was not very user friendly and it was a constant search for your projects or listed tasks.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We no longer use Trello. The tool did not work for us.
Our team switched to Monday.com. More taks oriented and easily able to spread out projects through out team and be able to communicate regularly.

 ### 2. Trello - Online project organizer

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morat G. | Web Developer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like its simple and light interface, I can create as many cards as I need, in addition, the way to track activities and tasks is very simple and intuitive, another thing I like is that I can label everything to find it faster.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

It doesn't have many themes to customize the dashboard, and I don't really like that I can't chat with my colleagues, if you can, but I need to pay an additional add-on.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It significantly improved the way we work in our company, it allowed us to stay up to date with our assignments and also makes tracking the activities and the project route easier to execute.

 ### 3. Lots of features but not great to work with

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Fairly easy to use, lots of features that can accomodate many needs

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

Features are not well integrated together, can be complicated to create a good workflow

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manage a tasks list

 ### 4. limited features

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** damla v. | QA/RA VA, Marketing team leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Trello?**

not sure I like the tool.
it's not a helpful tool at all. I tried to find out what I can do, but apparently, most of the beneficial features are not provided with Trello.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I use kanban tables and table views. It's impossible to filter, sort, or anything that relates to the view.
I spent time implementing basic features but don't like the user interface.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trello is not benefiting me at all. It didn't help me to solve my problems or make them easier.
I expected to be more productive using a tool, that would be the goal, but I was't productive at all.

 ### 5. Dissapointing

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krissy B. | Co-Host, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I liked the ability that Trello had for automation, but that was about it once I was inside of the site.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I really disliked that there weren't many abilities to make Trello look how you wanted it to. They made it really hard to put wording in bold. You shouldn't have to know how to code in order to use a site built for anything other than such.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trello really didn't have any problems that it solved for me. I was so disappointed with the basics that I didn't care to look into much more.

 ### 6. Trello can be confusing

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vivian G. | Founder & Owner, CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like the thread keep the communication history all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

It is too dispersive. The graphic offers too much info.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been chosen by the team to keep track of their tasks all at once.

 ### 7. Great for cards, but not much better than a personal notepad

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Clean UI and fairly straightforward process. The app from desktop to the phone seems to operate well. The benefit is in the simplicity for Trello, and it does Kanban stlye best.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

The app is limiting in anything beyond basic task/project management and requires you to use other apps that can do this and more. Ultimately, it didn't work for our growing agency.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trello did help us solve quick, easy task organization, and allow us to identify who on our team would be taking on those tasks -- we could see most of the picture ina. snapshot.

 ### 8. Project tracker.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saúl L. | Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Trello?**

My favorite part of this software is its dynamics, I like that I can create my tasks and projects and label them by color to know what they are in, it has excellent characteristics and is very easy to use, it allows me to keep my calendar updated, I can also prioritize each activity according to what I need, it is also effortless to configure, the ability to drag and drop is beneficial, I like the lists of pending tasks, due dates and that I can share files, it has many integrations Well, I love project templates and customer service seemed top-notch.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

When displaying the lists it is a bit flexible; however it is a minimal detail, there is not much to complain about.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Recommended to organize daily tasks in the best way.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is convenient and helpful to hold meetings from our directory, it is straightforward to share the boards with other departments, in addition to doing it quickly and efficiently, its easy configuration makes everything very simple to carry, I love that I can create lanes and so tasks can be moved through a workflow, I loved the standard features like file attachments, comments when exploring a card, notes, description, and it has a fully functional free version.

 ### 9. Not as good as Notion.so

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Trello?**

What I love most about Trello boards is the ability to add images to my boards for a visually arresting presentation of ideas. It's visual storytelling combined with organization.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

It's not that I dislike anything about Trello, exactly. I began with Trello, that kanban layout, but then once I discovered Notion.so, and saw that they provided Trello style board in addition to so much more, I favored Notion.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used Trello for everything from organizing an online course to organizing a book and its many chapters and scenes. I particularly enjoy the ability to reorganize via drag and drop easily.

 ### 10. A Task Collaboration Tool That Is Mediocre At Best

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | Quality Control Laboratory Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Trello?**

The layout of creating task lists has been the most efficient way of keeping track of tasks/projects that are running simultaneously.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

The ability to edit different tasks after creating them is annoying and frustrating at times.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, Microsoft To-Do is probably going to be the tool my team and I use in the future. However, for the time being, Trello is where we have all of our tasks/project lists stored.

 ### 11. Great for Some Things, But I've Found Better Alternatives

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Trello is fantastic for project management, it makes walls full of sticky-notes a thing of the past. It has a few great integrations that make using it helpful.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

For me, Trello just didn't do enough. It couldn't keep up with my workflow the way I needed to use it. At times it was cumbersome to wade through, it couldn't handle the workload I needed it to. It's not a bad software, it just didn't quite measure up to the needs of my workflow.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Make sure that it meets all of your needs before purchasing.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trello helped automate my workflow for a time, but has since been replaced. It was beneficial is managing multiple projects at one time.

 ### 12. I love the design

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elif G. | Digital Banking Channel Development Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Design is the best. When agile transformation started in my company in 2016, we used trello for slicing the works.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I remembered that our security department had some concerns about Trello. Then they forced us to use JIRA instead:(

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

nothing

 ### 13. Confusing layout for important details

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Trello is a great place to organize important memos and events. One central location for an entire organization is a great principle.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

The layout of Trello can be confusing. Certain items are hidden below others and are not ranked by importance. The date which action items are due, not the date they are assigned, influences their positioning - when ideally, it should be both. The sideways scrolling UI is absolutely unlike any other service used by my organization, and while there's something to be said for originality, it shouldn't come at the cost of confusion. There's a chance my organization's implementation of Trello is the issue here, but I am unsure.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My organization does not use Trello to solve problems, only to lump information into one disorganized mess.

 ### 14. Easy to use but not an ideal solution for Complex Projects and Teams.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hafeezuddin S. | Hafeez, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Trello is easy to use, even for a naive or novice user. Also, Trello is easy to adopt with a very minimal learning curve and is a good option for small teams. Since the user options are limited, it is straightforward to adopt.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

Trello is far behind its competitors in terms of design. Trello has a non-materialistic UI and doesn't have reporting feature. Trello is also lagging in sub-tasks under main tasks.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Trello is ideal for small teams and projects. It is not recommended for complex projects involving various parties where reporting services are required in the project.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team collaboration and task management using cards.

 ### 15. Trello can get messy and unorganized with a team

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like how it is cloud based so we can all see the posts at once.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

It can get super disorganized and messy to look at when putting large amounts of notes and items on there.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is nice to know where all the notes are for various teams within our organization.

 ### 16. Trello

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Straightforward, easy to use. Was able to communicate and plan with others well.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

Had a hard time integrating with outlook.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was trying to solve assigning tasks to my assistant. This helped keep track.

 ### 17. Takes more time to manage than it saves.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Trello?**

It's helpful for those that are in large need of organizational help.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

It takes an immense amount of time to maintain - more time than I'd be saving elsewise, managing without.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Consider the time investment to ensure all boards are maintained, and if that makes sense to you/your team/projects.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team organization and management of shared tasks.

 ### 18. Trello for file sharing

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Trello?**

multiple users can access the docs and read them

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

the checklist if one user chesk it off it does this for all users the interface i dont really like the usage of the boards. i prefer other file sharing services/apps

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

its good for team file sharing but thats the only benefit

 ### 19. Trello isn’t Functional

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle L. | Freelance Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Trello?**

What I did like about Trello was that I could track information and assignments that other departments were working on. So it great for managing work when departments upload it to Trello.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

It was very basic, not really functional to the point that we didn’t really use it. Our company was always looking for ways to communicate and stay organized within the departments and Trello fell through the cracks.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

I honestly can’t give a recommendation because our use of Trello was short, a year or so. It may have gotten better or not since we’ve used it.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It didn’t solve any problems. When we used it it was good but then it just wasn’t so we switched to Slack.

 ### 20. Project management tool that is yet another for team to learn how to use

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in International Affairs | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Visual organizer, ability make many lists, ability to assign tasks, helpful for breaking down work streams into steps/strategies/tactics and transparency across team.
The mobile app is user friendly and overall the application is very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

In my experience, Trello is not the leading organization application, so if you choose this over Slack or another app then you have to get everyone on board and accustom to using it.
Really just for making lists and tracking task completion.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Perhaps introduce Trello to your team and ask your team to test it out before committing to this tool.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used it when organizing a conference--helped ensure all logistics were accounted for and with task delegation. Appreciated the visual lists so that individuals who were on different teams were able to understand the work of other groups but also focus on crossing off their tasks.

 ### 21. Great program but needs a little work.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katelyn R. | Licensed Realtor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I had used this in the past as a personal assistant for a real estate team. The team would make boards and put on there what they wanted me to do and I could go through a checklist and check the things off as I did them. I loved that I had everything in one place and the team members could always add anything new to there and also see my progress. I also liked that we could leave comments on things too if anything needed specification or I had a question about something.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I disliked that after a while it got kind of confusing. There was so many different boards and then things in the boards and people kept using other peoples checklists which made everything even more confusing to me! We eventually had to try another program just because it was too much to keep track of. I can imagine that its great for a very small company or team though.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Its a great place to keep everything on track if you have a business where you don't have many workers or its just you and someone you hired to help. Really easy to share to do lists with people as well.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits I got from Trello was that it was very helpful and kept me organized at first. I like having a clear list of what needs to be done for who and I really liked that. It helped me easily accomplish my tasks.

 ### 22. Simple and intuitive project management tool

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Medline M. | Front-End Web Developer & Technical Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Trello is an excellent tool for those who appreciate a minimal designed interface. The free version is very restricted in functionality and lacks the basic project management tool seen in other free applications. It is still great for individuals who simply need basic organization.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

One thing I dislike about Trello is that it doesn't have a lot of basic features when you begin a new board. lt really lacks common project management features seen on other applications you can use for free.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are various applications on the market but Trello is one of the easiest to use. One thing that Trello is great is for my freelancers who are not used to project management tools. Most require a lot of time before you can master it but with Trello it is ready out of the box.

 ### 23. great program. I recommend it

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Great for managing construction sites, I recommend it, great for managing even things in your home. Trello is an easy-to-use, flexible, and fun project management tool. It includes a convenient drag-and-drop feature when working on your boards.

The installation is simple and takes only a few minutes. Trello is a lightweight management solution that is best suited for those who do not need the general tools that accompany most project management apps. For users who require integrated reporting and time tracking, Zoho Projects is a better choice.

However, Trello is easy to look at and simple to navigate. You can manage your team and their tasks through each board you create. Everything is displayed neatly and consistently, and you will have no trouble following the progress of your project through this platform.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I don't like paid stuff, but overall yes.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

excellent

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

yes, management of a team of people

 ### 24. Not the best option in the market

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daylen W. | Senior Content Producer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

The only thing i can rescue from this tool is that it has a clean interface and is easy to use, the rest we stopped using it because it did not meet the needs we required, it was very annoying to have to redo everything at the end of the month because it does not give you the option to save things, plus there are free and better tools where you can do the same.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

Really almost everything, you could not customize things the names had to be invented because you could not use your name if someone had already used it, the support service is terrible you needed too many emails to solve a fault.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

I really do not recommend it, it is better to implement other measures or look for other options.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None, it was more the problems than the ones we could solve, we were really disappointed with this application.

 ### 25. Trello Good for Mutli-Project Communication

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Trello's main contribution is that one can have multiple pages or "boards" for different projects. This allows you to communicate with different groups of people based on their assignment to projects.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

The web interface of Trello doesn't make it easy to see quick updates. One has to click on each board to see updates, and even then there is not a demarkation to see what is new. The Slack interface accomplishes similar goals as Trello, I think with a better interface.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Trello is a good first start platform for project organization purposes, especially for those who may view Slack as more of an instant messaging platform. However, for beginner computer users, they may need an introduction tutorial.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trello has been used by my organization for tracking planning on different projects and communicating with a group of about 20 people.

 ### 26. Just Online Post-It Notes

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kari M. | Marketing & Web Coordinator, Research, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Positives: you can put due dates on each card, add team members to cards, colored labels, and add links to outside documents or webpages.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

Negatives: can't put a start date, no option to view multiple boards together in a single view, can't add sub-tasks with due dates to each card, no native Gantt view and "power ups" to get it don't integrate well with Trello, power-ups are a must for true productivity in overlapping teams but the number can use is limited unless you pay extra fees.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Trello is great for individuals tracking their own projects, but it lacks the sophistication needed for cross-functional teams.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped our teams share and track tasks.

 ### 27. Not reportable, not very useful for organization

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like the layout of the boards and the whole look and feel, as a visual person. I like the checklist features, and labels.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I dislike that it is not reportable - the cards have descriptions, checklists, and labels that are useful in some ways but restrict the organizational functionality by prohibiting reporting. Also, the search functionality is not great - word searches don't call up a lot of text on the card, and the only thing that comes up in search results is the title and labels - it would be nice to hover over for more detail.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Don't use it if you want to report on the data you're putting in.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing company orders that came in, and tracking the stage of the order. It helped a good amount while we could transition to a more robust CRM.

 ### 28. Meh, It Didn't Hook Me

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alesia N. | Webit Product Innovation Test Manager, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I love organization of any sort, so I liked being able to share boards with team members and manage projects in a collaborative way.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I'm not sure if I just wasn't used to using it, but it felt clunky to me. I found myself forgetting to use it or not wanting to take the time to update it.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

I personally prefer Mind Meister and Target Process for what I used it for, but I think if I had taken more time to get used to the Trello features, I may have enjoyed that just as much. I like all of the personalization features and different settings you can apply.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used it for a project collaboration with our development team. It helped to keep bugs organized and let us know when we could retest them.

 ### 29. Trello lets you plan anything anywhere.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie T. | Human Resources Office Manager, Management Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like the connivence you can add personal to business events. And it’s easy to use. They also walk you through it with a video.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I can’t really say too much if egst I don’t like. If you have a smart phone you can download the app so you can use it easily.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Trekking keeps you productive and you can invite people to add to the cards basically a group project to do list. You can also have it in your phone. So if you are traveling it’s always there to add to or accomplish your task.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I feel like the cards help me get more down. It’s like my own to do list and it keeps me motivated.

 ### 30. Meh, it's not Asana.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like that there are Kanban boards you can use to track action items and move them from column to column. It is decent to track action items. This was the first tool that I tested out when looking for project management software that I could use for my role with my organization. If you are looking for bare bones, no thrills, task management then this "could" work for you. However, there are other features that other tools have that blow this out of the water, yet it also comes at a higher price.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

It's not Asana. If you don't know about Asana, then Trello may work for you. However, it just is lacking in a lot of areas. The layout leaves much to be desired as well. The look and feel is not as clean and smooth as Asana is. Trello's main feature that put it above others was the use of Kanban board view. However, once others adopted that same layout then Trello was left in the dust,.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Initially, it was a place for me to track my to-do's and cross off action items from projects that I was running. However, after exploring other tools, it was clear that Trello was lacking. None. Have moved to Asana.

 ### 31. Great concept, lacks intuitive elements

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Conceptually, Trello is a great tool for agile development for following different streams and the ongoing collaboration between the various disciplines and participants involved in the process.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

Creating boards and comments on different threads within each board is not intuitive and has is fairly annoying to use. For example, when you are comments on a thread and want to start a new bullet or paragraph and click enter, it doesn't skip to the next line as "enter" normally does, instead it closes the comment.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Make sure you have their team do a detailed introduction and training on how to use even the most basic of features and functionalities. Do the training in multiple steps so you get a chance to use Trello for a bit and then on the next meet up you can bring back real-world experiences and questions instead of just assuming they are telling you everything you need to know.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Trello to manage multiple new and ongoing projects / marketing segments. The problem we solve is that our team is based worldwide and Trello allows us a tool by which all tasks are centralized.

 ### 32. Simplifying Tool that Requires a Lot of Work

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Trello provides a way that multiple employees can work on a given project. They can see how much each team member has progressed. It provides the possibility of overseeing multiple projects with various employees, and it enables supervisors to have different employees on different teams.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

In the end, I think that Trello ends up being more work than is worth it. Team members could more easily keep track of work by keeping in communication via phone, text, or email. I found that it took time to check when tasks were completed and then extra work seeing who was done with specific tasks. In short, it took extra time when it was supposed to streamline work.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

I would recommend that if your team is going to use Trello, make sure to monitor the early implementation process. You want to ensure that it is actually being used.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I worked as a team to oversee curriculum design, courses taught, and concepts covered.

 ### 33. Not as intuitive as I thought

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela R. | Chief of Staff, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like that I was able to actually upload documents and graphics to share with my team members.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

It didn't seem very helpful for the projects we were working on. It didn't sync with our outlook calendar which made it more difficult to keep up with tasks

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

I think Trello must sync with Outlook. I also think Trello should make an attempt like Salesforce does to work specifically with government agencies to help with project management needs.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to figure out how we can have all of our projects in one place. We didn't see much benefit to that though.

 ### 34. Trello - Inconsistent, laggy, messy

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Notifications are in time, thats good because it let us know about replies in real time.
Other thing i liked is easy setup, we didnt take so long to set it up, but we had several problems after it.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

it's all messy, you can't have order in it, everyone can edit the cards made by me.
for someone who doesnt have computer experience, it's troublesome, so i would recommend you guys add a tutorial for new people (0 knowledge of computer science), that way it will improve.
also i dislke the cards, are not really clear, you have to create several cards in order to manage different areas, that's a bit disgusting.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Really have a deep thinking and think twice! about using trello, myself experience, it has been a disaster.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

none, we stopped using it, since it's messy and all the company and supervisor's who used it rejected and didnt want to use it, they preferred to use 'email' communication instead of trello.
So we decided instead of receiving supp from Trello , to quit using it.

 ### 35. Useful tool for creating schedules/lists but sometimes created more work

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like that we could copy cowards from one week to the next to make creating schedules easier. I also like that boards could be shared so that people in the department could also edit/add items.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I disliked the navigation. I sometimes found it difficult to find what I needed or to find certain boards. I also found the archiving tool to be a little confusing at times.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

It can be a great tool for smaller offices, but may be tricky to use with very large organizations.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving an office supply request issue - Trello was helpful for me because it made office supply requests among the entire department easier to manage (previously, all requests were sent to me via email which could be inundating). It also helped to organize our weekly Department meeting agendas and easily carry/copy information over.

 ### 36. Good Project Management tool

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca F. | Holy Names University Arts and Entertainment Examiner, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Trello is helpful because it’s easy to help keep large scale teams on task and be able to see what has been completed and what still needs to be done and it’s great to be able to add feedback

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

Can be difficult to use on mobile or iPad

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Great tool that is good for large scale project teams

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving communication issues and task timeline issues and missed deadlines

 ### 37. Disappointments about Trello

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob B. | Graphic , Printing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I really like the idea of having a task manager type situation on the web and having everything in one place, it helps with our day to day!

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

It just very very clustered, and kind of thrown together without any real order. I get that each board and everything is unique, but ever since they offered a pay to they push it very hard with pop ups and stuff.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Have another site or another form of task management aside from trello and it will work just fine for you!

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task management mainly, it helps a lot with communication!

 ### 38. Too simple, awkward layout

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pejmon H. | Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

It tracks your tasks in a simple straightforward view and allows linking multiple people to a task.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

It's just a bit too simple. We've considered Trello and Asana and ultimately had to go with the competition. Trello was just too list view like and might work for those that work off bulletin boards and stickies, but not digital agencies that build websites and social media campaigns.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking tasks and getting a quick glance at project status.

 ### 39. Trello easy for someone who has a lot of To-Do lists.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kadeeja J. | Marketing and Events Coordinator , Public Relations and Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like that you can personalize your Trello so easily and have multiple to-do lists for different teams.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I don't like how complicated it seems to be, I feel like there is too much information for the user. I would like it to be more simplified and able to go through.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting all my work for all the things I do in life on one platform is very helpful. Not having a bunch of written to-do-lists from all different activities including work.

 ### 40. I don't get it?

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I guess the concept of Trello seems like a winner in theory, but it is a lot of work to "update" the boards when you could actually just be doing the work.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

Overall I just didn't think that this product was for me. I was collaborating with multiple users on my trello board, but it still required a lot of iterractions beyond following the boards, which to me felt like duplicate work. *In Trello's defense it could have been user error** but I am way too busy to do twice the work.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it theory, this would allow people to collaborate on a project with less micromanaging. You could monitor and track the progress of coworkers and know who's actually getting their part done and when.

 ### 41. We really enjoy it

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Photography | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

We really enjoy being able to share the space with our employees

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

At this point, for what we use it for we don't have any complaints

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

Its a simple way to improve communication between coworkers. Think of it as a virtual Kanban board! It's really easy to use and we love it!

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the communication between employees problem. It also keeps us all updated on status of a project

 ### 42. Better option are available

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Xaid k. | Android & Python Expert, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

The interface is cool and easy to use.and it's fluid too

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

The downside of is
1. No one knows about trello and thus is not used.
2. It's pricing is not the best out there

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically I tried to manage the project n people I work on. I saw it as a good tool to do this

 ### 43. Trello is awesome for communication for businesses that operate in multiple locations.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

The ease of communication and file sharing. I work as a product photographer located in Vegas. The sales staff that I work with are located in SF and AZ. They can easily leave me a request on my Trello board and I can send them a product photo back on the same board. From there we can communicate any changes on the bird itself. Instead of having to go through a separate cloud sharing network.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

Being that our board has about 15 people on it, most of which are pictures, sometimes Trello is slow to load. Nothing that slows down business though.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy communication and file sharing between multiple locations.

 ### 44. Glitchy

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like how organized it can keep me and my team. It helps us to see who is working on what so that we don't have overlap. It is a great way to keep us productive and organized.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

It glitches and freezes a lot. I've had days where I've had to refresh the page 10 times and it still won't load completely -- which can delay my productivity.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

I would test it out before you fully implement it. I have had quiet a few problems with it glitching and freezing up on me. It can be a very helpful tool but I would keep that in mind before you commit all the way.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps my coworker and I (that do the same job) to not reach out to the same people. We can organize who is doing what and it keeps us from overlapping with each other.

 ### 45. Good for team management, bad for personal management

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I started to use Trello to help manage my own personal workflow. I thought that it would help me better manage but it took so much time that it ended up adding to my workload instead of helping reduce it

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

There are so many different backgrounds and colors to ping on items that it oftentimes confused me and distracted me

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

I would make sure to read everything as the implementation can take a while and you dont want to waste your time.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was looking to help manage my projects but I didn't feel that it helped

 ### 46. Review for Trello

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Trello makes it easy to see which large tasks need to get done first. It's easy to organize tasks and projects.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I'm not a huge fan of Trello. I don't see how useful it is, and I never saw the added value that a simple To-Do list on a Google doc couldn't do.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

I wouldn't recommend using it unless someone who uses it a lot can explain the benefits. My feeling after using it was that it was another app you didn't actually need but made it feel like you were doing work.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I could see what different teams were working on, and I could move tasks around rather easily.

 ### 47. Good if you have an idea

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like that there are multiple opportunities to “mind-map” if you will and collaborate with others.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

I don’t like how you can’t arrange them on a board, it’s just straight across and you have to scroll instead of seeing them all on one scree

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Writing a book

 ### 48. Difficult and Confusing

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I like the cards because it separates the different categories and I like how easy it is to invite or mention someone in an update.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

The system is confusing and frankly all over the place. It’s hard to use and it’s hard to teach others to use.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can communicate as a team and get ideas and information passed around which is nice.

 ### 49. Good planner!

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khushboo G. | Student Software Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

I can arrange all my tasks and see them.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

Sometimes it becomes very complex and chaotic

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it at my part time job. I work as a programming assistant

 ### 50. Not very useful!

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Trello?**

Simple platform for communicating with my web designer.

**What do you dislike about Trello?**

Not easy to use and connect with team to complete a project.

**Recommendations to others considering Trello:**

My web designer loves Trello but I’m not used to it at all so will prefer other way for project management.

**What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowed us to communicate with our web designer.
