What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?

Protection with McAfee was bang on; It has given us a solid firewall and security to protect the system from Malware and Trozens. The detection of Viruses in this software was exceptional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?

A lot of bugs, Malware, and Spam websites, Cloud was not protected. Entrance of silly bugs with a lot of websites with dozens were not detected in this software which made us to switch to a different platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?

One of the best features of McAfee AntiVirus Plus is its comprehensive protection against a wide range of online threats. Another great feature is its performance optimization tools, which can help improve your computer's speed and overall performance. What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?

It can be frustrating to use at times due to its excessive resource consumption, complicated interface, and challenging navigation, which are compounded by frequent notifications and pop-ups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Protecting business computers from malware infections, which can cause data loss, system crashes, and other issues is an important function. Scanning incoming and outgoing emails for malicious content also helps prevent phishing attacks and virus infections. What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?

By using McAfee Application Cotrol, you can easily allow the approved applications in your organization.

The process of Solidification helps us to maintain the inventory of permitted applications.

Once the installed applications in the systems are Solidified, only those applications are allowed to run; if anyone tries to run the new file or exe it will be blocked.

We can configure rules to Allow or Block any binaries, exes, dll, etc.,

We can define trusted users in the rule so that users like admin will have the authority to install any application.

Similarly, we have the option of trusted directories in which we can define any Trusted UNC path or folder from which we can install any application.

We can allow any updater process so the installed application can update without issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?

McAfee Application Control can not be deployed on high-change systems with frequent installation and updates of trusted applications, e.g., software developer systems.

McAfee Application Control is suitable for those systems where frequent changes don't require, e.g., ATMs.

Management of Application Control is complex. Involves manual intervention and multiple processes to deploy, solidify and set in enable mode. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Cost-effective. Easy to install agents in the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?

There is not much control over the Admin Console of MVISION EDR. Also, the agents installed on the system are resource-hungry, installing other sensors. Almost 15 Services will run in the background to fulfill different processes, which an ideal EDR can do with a single agent and service.

As Trellix has acquired McAfee, we don't know what will be the significant changes as Trellix have its own EDR/XDR solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
