## Trellix Endpoint Security Reviews
  ### 1. McAfee Endpoint Protection

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2016

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

The feature I like best would have to be the Full encryption to prevent data theft from stolen laptops or mobile devices. Mac and Linux operating systems are also supported.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Sadly the one place where Mcafee falls short is in updates for third party applications.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Endpoint Security:**

In my opinion, there isn't a better endpoint solution out there. It totally beats Symantec.

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product offers complete endpoint protection especially for companies requiring strict data compliance. UI is very easy to use.

  ### 2. Just Okay

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brooke S. | Probation Officer, Law Enforcement, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2016

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Not Really Sure other than I havent received a virus on my computer yet while having it installed.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

It slows my computer. I have worked with other software competitors and just like them better.

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

clear and free of viruses

  ### 3. User Of McAfee

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2015

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

When it comes to detection rate McAfee would still be somewhere at the top of the list. While there maybe other programs with better detection rates, McAfee should be sufficient to keep those viruses away.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

The one reason that blurs any of the good points this program contains. Consumes a LOT of memory, whether it’s during scan or real time protection. There are around seven processes running for the program. If your computer has specifications that are compatible for Vista it should be sufficient. Anything under that, I doubt the program would even startup. Tested with 512MB RAM it still slowed down the computer quite a bit.
t would not be recommended for computers with under memory of at least 512MB RAM. Nevertheless it is still a good Anti-virus solution.

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like most other programs McAfee has been well tested and barely contains any bugs at all. With the high memory consumption it takes up as mentioned before, it’s pretty obvious that scanning duration would be quite long too so if you choose McAfee you’ll rarely perform a full scan because of the time it takes, which makes your computer vulnerable.

  ### 4. McAfee, a solid partner in my security framework.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2015

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

As an experienced administrator of McAfee Endpoint Protection through the use of ePolicy Orchestrator ,I love the piece of mind that I have from knowing that I'm partnered with one of the strongest security companies in the business. The support is fantastic and the product release cycle keeps my business competitive.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

There aren't many shortcoming that I've seen in my dealings with McAfee. Perhaps a slightly harder push toward the future with advanced threat protection but overall I'm very happy with the portfolio.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Endpoint Security:**

Take your time and research all available solutions within the McAfee suite. There are many different products that may not be openly advertised that will fit a need. Management of Native File Encryption is a great example as it filled a small hole with Bitlocker encryption.

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing my mobile workforce with tools like Native Encryption Management and HIPS as well as accommodating for my Macintosh users, we've never been in a better spot to protect endpoints. Through diverse reporting and solutions for all scenarios, we are more than prepared.

Support available earlier for eastern customers

  ### 11. Quality product, but expensive!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony K. | eSecurity Staff Engineer, Computer Hardware, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2015

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Fireeye is amazingly fast at vm analysis. Their product does a great job at detecting, with efficiently, all kinds of malware, CnC activity and other malicious content. The central manager is also well designed. Being able to monitor, update, and few all appliances in your organization, as well as notate and acknowledge alerts is powerful

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Price and scalability. Their product line is very expensive to purchase and maintain. The other substantial challenge we have right now is scalability. Many of our global sites have greatly increased their internet pipes, and the nx appliance at that location isn't designed for that bandwidth. At this point, your only option is to purchase another box. This is a substantial challenge...again, because of cost.

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primary business problem is securing our egress point of contact with the internet. FE has been able to stop a large volume of C2 traffic as well as other malware.

  ### 12. Good product with good protection.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergey Y. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2016

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Easy on CPU and memory load. When it is doing background full scan of the system you are not even realise that.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Price. Sometime if it not on promotion the price (IMHO) is a bit higher than supposed to be.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Endpoint Security:**

Look for the deals and get it for all your personal computers in one pack. That really worth it.

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No worry about viruses and network attacks.

  ### 13. Light weight on the memory

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2016

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

The program runs flawless, and even you didnt realize that it is running in the background.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Nothing much, if i need to say something i dislike, then i would say it is the interface

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is financial firm and end point protection help us to securely safe guard the data

  ### 14. Best End point security with easy of access

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dharma r. | DevOps Engineer/Linux Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2015

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

1. Admin can easily perform the required important operations.
2. Console is Admin friendly
3. From one place we can able handle remote system easily
4. We are using Mcafee end point as SAAS in our cloud servers.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

1. It is eating lot of resources
2. System performance is bit slow while connecting multiple remote nodes.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Endpoint Security:**

For providing data encryption and audits of data, you can go for Mcafee

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we have opted mcafee for secure my cloud servers.

  ### 15. Security Administrator's Dream Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2015

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

The McAfee's administrator console is the best that is out there on the market. Intel Security did an amazing job to integrate different products under one Admin umbrella. Managing McAfee products across large enterprise is relatively simple using the console.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

The McAfee product is not free of bugs and uses a a lot of CPU cycles that can slow down the endpoints. The McAfee endpoint product does not integrate with a syslog server at the client level to send events to SIEM.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Endpoint Security:**

Try it out and I am sure you will love the central console.

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For an enterprise looking for a one-stop solution this is the product. It integrates all security modules that a security admin would love to see on an endpoint.

  ### 16. McAfee User

**Reviewed by:** Maria R. | Software Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

This program provides great protection for the whole team, preventing viruses and other malicious problems do harmful activities on your computer

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

What I like least is that the program consumes many resources, and sometimes reaches to lock the computer if multiple open programs.

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The solution resolved is the protection of equipment against possible risks when surfing the internet,

  ### 17. Protects my Windows Machine in the Background

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

This is a very non-intrusive piece of software. By default, my corporation has it run in the background during startup of the operating system. Overall, this software does not ever both the user. It will autoupdate itself in the background. It also seems to do a good job of protecting my computer since I haven't had any viruses yet.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

It seems to be a pretty big resource hog. This software, along with other software running in the background, slows my work computer down to a crawl. Coupled with a 5400rpm hard drive, this is as recipe for disaster.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Endpoint Security:**

I would recommend setting up the autoupdate settings so that it can run in the background without ever bothering the user.

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has proved to be successful in protecting my computer from viruses and other unwanted intrusions.

  ### 18. Use McAfee since switching from MAC to PC

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Its an inexpensive way to make sure my computer is protection. I switched from a MAC to a PC and have used McAfee with ease. It offers firewall protection, spyware protection and helps with spam websites.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

It may be slowing down my computer occasionally, but nothing too severe.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Endpoint Security:**

Definitely consider getting McAfee as it is a cheap solution to virus protection

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to protect my personal computer from viruses.

  ### 19. Best Enterprise Security solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2016

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

1. Blocks all threats to system.
2. Its scanning features go fast and in-depth.
3. Custom as welll as predefined firewall rules

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

1. Consume a lot of memory in RAM. Affects other programs performance.
2. GUI can be improved

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All the devices in our office are encrypted using McAfee Endpoint Protection. Backups and routine updates ensure security and reliability.

  ### 20. Good Product

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2016

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Really enjoyed how simple its interface which makes it easy to browse around the application.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

very slow on the PC i use at work, makes things very hard to load.

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

safeguards the entire computer system we have at work.

  ### 21. McAfee EndPoint administration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2015

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Easy to use Web interface. Allows and administrator with Admin rights to deploy from a console instead of my AD, or an application deployment tool.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

I don't like the fact that McAfee still doesn't support accessing an external drive via a USB cable. That we have to decrypt the drive with use of USB thumb drive, CD, or floppy. Very archaic method.

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are meeting our client expectations by keeping the data on our portable workstations safe use.

  ### 22. Prevents the Ooglie Booglies from getting onto your system!

Ease of use, runs in the background, simple updates

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Computers running McAfee endpoint protection were not less likely to become impacted by security threats

**What problems is Trellix Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Antivirus protection

  ### 24. User Headache ... Administrator Safe Haven

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter B. | Director, Enterprise Solution Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2013

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

As a user, I couldn't stand having this on my corporate PC as it slowed things down, and increased the boot time 3x. From an IT perspective though, it's a great tool that keeps your Enterprise safe.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Real slow user experience .. forced a lot of remote users to use home PC when working on Cloud systems like Salesforce.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Endpoint Security:**

If you have patience to handle the user complaints regarding speed, then this tool will be very beneficial, otherwise, stay clear.

  ### 25. Great EP Option

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2013

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

EPS allows your endpoints to download new signature files straight from McAfee or you can host your own proxy server so you can download the signatures and pass them on to the endpoints in your LAN.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Nothing

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Endpoint Security:**

Don't let the crazy founder drive you away.

  ### 26. Usually remove it

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rusty P. | Senior Director of Global Operations and Quality, Medical Devices, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2012

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

I have seen more and more computers shipping with McAfee on it--it is a rather decent antivirus that gets updated very frequently.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

It is overbearing on the user and does indeed cause a lot of resource hogs--I typically uninstall this and install something else (in my opinion, even some of the free ones out there are better suited for the end-user that is smart at surfing).

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Endpoint Security:**

Get a trial & watch your performance indicators.

  ### 27. Great for Enterprise Management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael F. | Senior Technical Account Manager, Team Lead, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2012

**What do you like best about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

This is an excellent tool for IT Departments to manage all computers within your organization.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Endpoint Security?**

Invasive scan's will kill performance of your machines.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Endpoint Security:**

McAfee is one of the best in the market, but they have not change the resource utilization on the end user machines. This means slower machines with less resources can be severely affected.
