What do you like best about Transifex?

"Works nicely depending on your needs"

What do you like best about Transifex?

The live translation tool is very handy, and once its set up you don't need much maintenance. I like that the language switch just works once you place it on the website. Makes it easy for people like me (developer) to set it up once and avoid headaches while the rest of the team (content creators, marketeers) can use transifex to keep the translations up to date. What do you dislike about Transifex?

It's hard to understand where everything is, I find the dashboard view to be very messy, there are a lot of clicks and searches necessary to find where to export a translated file for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transifex is amazing!"

What do you like best about Transifex?

Transifex is very comprehensive and thorough in their job recruiting native speakers from all over the globe. The language (and hence type of speaker/translator) is identified up front so you know in advance and can plan. They're also very granular with the type of translation services provided, i.e., how phrases are used colloquially yet in a professional/business language, and they will ask questions to understand the message you are trying to convey.

In addition, all of them are extremely courteous and pleasant to deal with. I absolutely love them! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Transifex?

I cannot think of anything really, they're always there when you need them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have customers all over the globe, and as a registrar company need to send several required/mandatory emails (specified by ICANN) that are legally required in order to keep our business running. Most times these emails need to be in the local language in addition to English. Transifex helps us easily bridge that gap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Localizing apps and websites on Transifex"

What do you like best about Transifex?

Transifex helps me manage my localization teams. It allows me to assign people to different roles and has every function a CAT tool has in the cloud. It's straightforward to review translations and keep translation memories and glossaries. I use it almost daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Transifex?

Sometimes, when working with several Engineering teams, the translation memories don't talk with each other. In this case, we need to do a manual search (Transifex does have a button for that). Another thing is that the glossaries are a little hard to use for languages with a lot of conjugations. If you are not using the word in a standard form, it does signalize an error, so you need to add all different forms to the glossary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
