## About Transifex
Transifex is a continuous localisation platform designed for software, website, and digital product localisation. It serves as a comprehensive solution for product, engineering, marketing, and localisation teams, facilitating the translation and updating of software interfaces, websites, and digital content in real-time as changes occur. By integrating localisation into the development and content creation processes, Transifex eliminates the traditional batch-based approach, allowing for a more streamlined and efficient workflow. The platform is particularly beneficial for organisations that manage frequently changing software and web content, such as application user interfaces, marketing websites, customer-facing portals, and online documentation. Traditional localisation methods often involve manual file exports and delayed translation cycles, which can lead to discrepancies between translated content and the source updates. Transifex addresses these challenges by automating content synchronisation, enabling near real-time delivery of translations, and ensuring that localisation keeps pace with ongoing development. For software localisation, Transifex integrates seamlessly with code repositories and development workflows. This integration allows new or updated strings to be automatically sent for translation and returned without manual intervention, supporting agile and continuous release cycles. This capability significantly reduces the operational burden on engineering teams, allowing them to focus on development rather than localisation logistics. In the realm of website and marketing localisation, Transifex connects with various content management systems and web frameworks, simplifying the translation of web pages, navigation, metadata, and customer-facing copy. This functionality is particularly advantageous for marketing teams that require rapid multilingual updates to maintain consistency across different markets. The platform’s ability to facilitate quick publishing of translated content ensures that organisations can effectively engage with diverse audiences without delay. Transifex also offers robust collaboration features that enhance the localisation process. These include translation memory, terminology management, and review workflows, which support translators, reviewers, and localisation managers in maintaining linguistic consistency and quality across both technical and marketing content. By providing these tools, Transifex enables teams to operate efficiently while ensuring high standards in their translations. As part of the broader XTM localisation platform, Transifex allows organisations to combine continuous localisation with translation management and visual context tools when necessary. This integration further enhances its value proposition, making it an ideal choice for product teams, engineering teams, marketing teams, and localisation professionals seeking scalable localisation solutions in high-change environments.

## Transifex Reviews
  ### 1. Easy to integrate and user-friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

What I like best about Transifex is its dynamic design and user-friendly interface. It makes localization tasks easy to manage and navigate, enhancing overall efficiency in project management. Additionally, the ability to track and access changing data history seamlessly is a standout feature for me.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

While Transifex generally meets my needs, one area for improvement could be the pricing structure. Depending on the scale of projects, the pricing plans might not always be the most cost-effective option for smaller teams or individual developers. Adjusting the pricing model to accommodate a wider range of users could enhance accessibility and appeal

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex streamlines localization, saving time on manual tasks and enhancing collaboration. Its dynamic design ensures accuracy and consistency, while tracking data history provides valuable insights for continuous improvement, ultimately delivering a polished product for a global audience

  ### 2. Consistent, reliable, collaborative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Collaborative process involving engineering, product and translators can be facilitated for more automation and seamlessness in the release process.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Interface could use an update and user flow is complicated to get to what you want until you get used to it.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex allows three discrete teams to collaborate in an ongoing way (for the last 4-5 years now) to upload, translate, review, download and manage translations for our software. Once past the initial technical challenge of integrating Transifex within our deployment process, it has been pretty much smooth sailing. This has been a reliable and effective tool for our enterprise-level software being used nationally.

  ### 3. Accelerate all your translation work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

You can integrate Machine translation tools and have initial translations run automatically. There is easy management of glossaries and translation memory that raise the quality of translations and save time.

The customer service is very reliable and feedback on feature requests is communicated well.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

The tool takes some getting use to as it it quite feature rich. That said, the transifex team is very responsible and documentation is helpful in finding answers.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves many of the logistical problems of dealing with translations for websites and files. It gives you speed, clarity. Translation quality improves thanks to translation memory, machine translation, glossaries which leads to a lighter load on reviewers.

  ### 4. An efficient tool that needs better documentation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caitlyn R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Transifex is a simple and effective way to translate websites, saving time and reducing the tech expertise needed to add translations. The translation services you can hire are fast and accurate, and the tool tracks both the translation and the review of the translation.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Many aspects of how Transifex works are not clearly explained - for example there is no time estimate when hiring a translation service, and the pricing model is unclear.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't need to build out a whole other website for new languages, which reduces the time and cost of adding translation, as well as increasing ease.

  ### 5. The experience is ok. It could be made better by adding support of multiple github orgs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dipen S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

It's good at what it does. It's a powerful tool to help translate on the go. Plus, the react library is compelling. The support team of Transifex is fast to reply. The live translate feature works well.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

It has no libraries for integrating it with the backend, and we must rely on Transifex Live. Support for golang would be incredible. Support for multiple GitHub organizations would be fantastic.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are launching into multi-region markets, and we need support for translating multiple languages to support the said markets. We can rely on transifex for our translation needs.

**Official Response from Nina Eleftheriadou:**

> Thank you, Dipen, for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We highly value your input and suggestions, which are crucial in our continuous efforts to meet your expectations.

I really like the ai feature. Good to work with a large team

  ### 7. We use a fraction of its potential, but it's perfect for our needs.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fund-Raising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The ability to translate live in-browser, because sometimes seeing strings in a list out of context is just not enough.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Nothing major. If I had to be pedantic then I'd say that the admin side is a bit clunky. Finding settings can be tricky sometimes. Adding users also has some minor UX issues.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some websites (eg. Welsh institutions) must have multilingual websites. We wouldn't be able to provide that if it weren't for Transifex.

  ### 8. Thanks Transifex

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eustin Y. | Project Engineer - SmarTrack/EarthTrack Fleet Management Systems, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Convenience, efficiency, ability for translators to work directly in the platform, potential integration & automation within our development projects

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Perhaps the user interface could allow more bulk operations. The keyboard shortcuts don't always work.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Translation version control, translation memory, shared editing,

  ### 9. Good experience to get translations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Fast and easy to use to get all translations done

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

In the translations keys we have to escape the periods with a backslash

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need translations for various languages so the website can be used in different countries

  ### 10. Good tool, but it takes some time getting used to

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The customer support & account management is very quick & good. They are super responsive & easy to reach out to. The live translation feature allows translators to directly adjust texts to a fitting length.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Getting started with the interface is not very intuitive. It needs some getting used to in the beginning. In general it could be optimized a bit better to Shopify.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We localize our Shopify shop content through the tool & use the live translation for that

**Official Response from Nina Eleftheriadou:**

> Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to share your experience with Transifex.

Providing responsive and accessible support is a top priority for us and it's great to know that our efforts are making a positive impact.

We understand that getting started with the interface can be a bit challenging. We're actively working on developing a fresh UI for the entire application. This overhaul aims to significantly enhance navigation and overall user experience. We anticipate rolling out these enhancements in the coming months. Your feedback serves as crucial insight for us, guiding our focus on improving clarity and usability.

We appreciate your continued support and feedback as we work to provide you with the best possible experience on Transifex :)

  ### 11. Easy to setup - but a lot of caveats

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo M. | Senior Frontend Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

It's easy to setup new projects
Documentation is clear
Support team is awesome
Features can attend the majority of use cases

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Some configurations can lead to some problems, for example, by using multi-branching, it can lead to multiple versions of the same file, causing translation issues due to merge issues. Also it can lead to wipping out the whole translation memory.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using Transifex as a translation tool. We opted to use translation files instead of native approach to have more control towards the files.

**Official Response from Nina Eleftheriadou:**

> Hi Rodrigo,

Thank you for your detailed feedback!

We’re thrilled to hear that you find setting up new projects with Transifex straightforward and that our documentation and support team have been valuable resources for you. It’s great to know that our features meet the majority of your use cases.

We appreciate your feedback regarding multi-branching and its potential impact on translation management. We understand how critical it is to maintain a seamless translation process. Our team is continuously working on improving Transifex, and feedback like yours is essential in helping us identify areas for enhancement. We’d love to discuss this further with you to better understand your specific challenges and work on possible solutions.

Thank you for choosing Transifex as your translation tool. We're committed to ensuring you have the best experience possible.

  ### 12. Localization x Transifex

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

- Connected to most in-house tools
- Flexible plugins and integrations (Figma, Zendesk,...)
- Possibility to upload screenshots

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

- The fact that the total volume is calculated based on source words * number of languages
- The fact that we're limited in terms of volume that we can host (1 more million words = paying more)
- Too "sensitive" fuzzy matches correspondances (often, changing a single character for punctuation and/or uppercase makes the % drop to below the level that allows Transifex to pre-translate strings)
- Aleatory glossary tab occurrences (sometimes, the tab shows words that are not in the string just because they have similar roots to words that do appear there; other times, it won't show a word that's in the string in the plural form if we have the singular form in the glossary or vice-versa)

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us localize our product and website in multiple languages supporting WW activations

**Official Response from Nina Eleftheriadou:**

> Thank you for providing your feedback regarding Transifex.

We value your insights and understand the concerns you've raised. We are continually striving to enhance our platform and address the issues you've highlighted.

Regarding the calculation of total volume based on source words multiplied by the number of languages, we acknowledge that this method may not fully meet your needs. I'm pleased to inform you that our new plans and packaging have been designed to address this specific issue. By counting only unique source-translation pairs, we're ensuring a more accurate reflection of your usage. You can find detailed information on how we calculate hosted words in our FAQ section, accessible here: https://help.transifex.com/en/articles/8698788-faq-transifex-s-new-plans.

Regarding your point about the glossary, I wanted to bring to your attention our variations feature, which you may find helpful. You can learn more about this feature in our community forum post here: https://community.transifex.com/t/exciting-news-new-features-added-to-transifex-glossary/3429.

We greatly appreciate your feedback as it helps us identify areas for improvement. We are committed to finding solutions that will enhance your experience with Transifex.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or suggestions. Your continued feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to improve our platform and better serve our users.

  ### 13. Easy effort to use transifex for localisation in multiple project

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyona A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Transifex has greatly impressed me with its intuitive interface, making the complex task of localization surprisingly simple. The robust features and seamless collaboration tools have significantly enhanced our workflow, ensuring a smoother and more efficient translation process. Kudos to Transifex for transforming the daunting into the delightful

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

While Transifex offers a stellar experience overall, I'd appreciate a bit more flexibility in customization options. Occasionally, I found myself wanting more control over certain aspects of the platform. Nonetheless, it's a minor gripe in the grand scheme of its impressive capabilities

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex is a game-changer in simplifying our localization process, solving the challenge of efficiently translating and adapting our content for a diverse audience. This efficiency not only saves us time but also ensures a consistent and high-quality user experience worldwide

  ### 14. Good tool for content creators, not so much for end users

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The tool boasts remarkable ease of use, catering to both content uploading and translation tasks effortlessly. Whether you're uploading content or providing a translation, navigating the tool proves to be straightforward. Moreover, assigning files to different translators is a breeze, requiring nothing more than a simple link transmission. Translators using the platform are not burdened with the need for individual licenses; instead, access is typically granted by the content owner. All translators need is an Internet connection, underscoring the tool's accessibility and convenience for collaborative endeavors. Downloading files for integration with other CAT tools is quite simple. Content creators also have the flexibility to update the content while translations are underway, streamlining the workflow and ensuring timely adjustments. Easy to implement. Can be used anytime. Customer Support seems to be pretty responsive and helpful, but I never had to use it.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Generating word count analyses that accurately account for fuzzy matches poses a significant challenge, so translation can only be charged based on total wordcount, even though you can use a TM in Transifex. Additionally, concordance becomes somewhat problematic as translators can only access one segment at a time, hindering their ability to grasp the full context. Moreover, performing global search and replace operations proves to be arduous due to the above.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex primarily addresses the challenge of translation management by providing a platform that streamlines the process of translating content into multiple languages. It offers tools for project managers to organize and track translation projects efficiently. However, while Transifex simplifies translation management for project managers and content owners, it may not be as advantageous for translators themselves. The platform's interface can be less user-friendly for translators, hindering their productivity . Transifex would benefit from a client version to handle the translation process effectively. Despite this limitation, Transifex still offers value by centralizing translation resources and facilitating collaboration among team members, ultimately improving the efficiency of the translation workflow.

  ### 15. Does what is says it does and works for what we need it to do. So far I enjoy the product.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Salim M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

I enjoy the fact that you can interchange between a staging and production environment if it suits your needs. The functionality works well for toggling languages.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

The filtering capabilities could be better, for example filtering based on the url that a string was found on and leveraging regex capabilities.

Furthermore, you can apply filters to the sidebar on your website so that is quite limiting as well

I wish we could import a list of URLs to not allow transifex to function on.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not needing to build our own internal solution to deal with translating our online courses

  ### 16. I've been able to translate blocks of text without any issues!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reynaldo R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The best part of Transifex is its flexibility. I like how I can convert a specific website into a Transifex environment to tweak what I need without problems by adding two characters at the end of the URL.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Sometimes Transifex doesn't save on cache the last language I selected.

For instance, if I select Spanish on Transifex and refresh my working page, Transifex's menu will show Spanish as the "saved option" after doing so. Still, the website will show its original language: English.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to translate a lot of stuff from English to Spanish without any issues. Of course, if I use the machine-based translation, it will show some flaws. But as a native Spanish speaker, I can get that sorted out ASAP.

  ### 17. Very easy to use!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

I like how easy it is to translate webpages in whatever language I want. Working for a multinational, Transifex has helped us to check, in a very easy-to-follow way, the accurate translation for ~4 languages. I also like that things are being updated really fast, so we can save time if we properly coordinate the schedules.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

I would say that word limitation and the limited functionality for searching terms. But, for our company, those are not critical disadvantages.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can work simultaneously with teams from different countries and it's very easy to understand and manage.
Also, if connected to Slack, we can set reminders to track activities and projects.

  ### 18. Good core product, some frustrating UX issue with integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

In addition to traditional localization, we also use Transifex as a single source of truth for product copy thanks to its Github integration. We've been able to localize our product thanks to the use of Transifex to manage, structure and scale the process. The administrative side of things has helped a lot and the core interface for translating (and collaborating on the translations) works really well, despite the slightly outdated look. I also appreciate some of the shortcuts that make translating a breeze.

And while there have been frustrating UX issues with some of our use cases, customer support has done a good job of finding workarounds for those issue. This is not ideal, of course, but still highly appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

The github integration has issues. While it does sync flawlessly and creates pull requests for changes, it can be incredibly hard to find the right strings and resources in transifex. This is mostly due to some bad UX decisions in the interface, which shows file paths and names in a truncated form (except for in some specific places, which require additional navigation steps and sometimes even fairly high privileges). And while a search feature does exist, it uses the truncated paths, rendering it completely useless. It becomes even more difficult when you activate branch support, which is why we had to deactivate that feature.

I also feel like the integration of screenshots could be a lot smoother and easier to handle, in particular with bigger projects.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Localizing a large SaaS product with tens of thousands of strings and having a single source of truth for product copy.

**Official Response from Nina Eleftheriadou:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback on Transifex. We're glad to hear that our product has played a key role in structuring and scaling your localization efforts.

Your feedback is invaluable regarding the UI issues you've highlighted. We're actively working on developing a fresh UI for the entire application. This overhaul aims to significantly enhance navigation and overall user experience. We anticipate rolling out these enhancements in the coming months. Your feedback serves as crucial insight for us, guiding our focus on improving clarity and usability.

Additionally, regarding the screenshots feature, we would like to understand better the challenges you're facing. We recently released an improvement (https://community.transifex.com/t/introducing-direct-screenshot-uploads-simplifying-context-management-using-transifex-web-editor/3925), and your input on whether this release has enhanced your experience with the specific functionality would be valuable to us.

We appreciate your continued support and feedback as we work to provide you with the best possible experience on Transifex :)

  ### 19. Great Online CAT Tool, Very Flexible

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

It has everything I need and is extremely flexible.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

The QA feature can only be added at an additional cost.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Handling localization for a multi-language, multi-platform app.

  ### 20. Easy to use, great results

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francois V. | Technical Writer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The user interface makes getting work done easy and intuitive. When you're doing lots of work, that adds up to big time savings.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

The danger of any service like this is that if you lose internet access at a critical time, your work is on hold. But that's true of any online service.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We take customer-facing text and Transifex helps us translate it in a timel and professional manner for international markets.

  ### 21. Great localization tool for web-based applications or websites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clark H. | Director of Sales Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Transifex offers a very simple to integrate, and simple to use translation and localization tool for web-based apps and websites. My favorite parts of the Transifex offering is that it offers the ability to translate into more languages than I knew existed, and it also offers what it calls 'Transifex Live,' which is a super user-friendly overlay tool for people to translate their websites/apps right on the frontend.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

There aren't a ton of things that I don't like about Transifex to be fair. The pricing could be a bit more modular to fit some unique use-cases, but in general it meets our needs.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work in the international professional events space, so being able to communicate web content in multitudes of languages is critical. We also work with event planning teams that can be smaller and more limited on resources, so having a tool that is easy enough to use for individuals wearing many hats is critical.

  ### 22. Easy to folllow and keep translations updated for mobile application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

flexibility and easy to use is the best of the product

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

somewhat roles organization (access & levels)

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

mobile application translations for different countries

  ### 23. Friendly UX, but needs improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thamyres A. | Tradutor freelancer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The interface is very intuitive and easy to use

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

I believe that the "search" feature should allow for more than one word, having in mind that can happen that I need a specific part of the text and I want to find it fast but it's tricky when all you can use is one trigger word and get hundreds of hits

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am localizing an entire app and the best benefit for me is being able to put tags and links on the right place with only one click on the original one. The recent addition of bulk-actions is also a plus, combined with the search & replace feature saves a lot of time

  ### 24. Missing some in app guidance, and spend lot of time reviewing my actions

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalia S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Is my first time using a translation tool, so in general there is no way for me to compare against other tools in the market. But from a transifex point of view, the Suggestions ans History is a good tool to use inside Transifex

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Is hard to understand the various functions whithin the system, whe you are new to it. I had to expend time going through a guide that my company create in order to achieve my task with transifex.
And need to spend lot of time making sure the steps i was taking were correct.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Translating from EN to other languages. e.g DE, Spanish..

  ### 25. Great solution

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Good team to work with. Easy to use interface.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Machine translation is too expensive to utilize. Also this was not disclosed during the sales process

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to integrate multi language in our application

  ### 26. Very helpful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The very intuitive tools provided to manage the translations of our product. It's also pretty straighforward to localize in to language or look up for texts and keys either in the original text or translate ones. The ability to put key context is also helpful to keep some size limitations in bound.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Mainly the limitation with our paying tier, being limited in the number of words and I found myself sometimes being out of range but you'er not blocked and still have time to either do a clean of unused keys or upgrade to the next tier. The pricing has been also a pretty challenging point.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main issue was to easily and effecientlyu handle the different and the ongoing increased number of new languages and Transifex has been a good solution for that.

  ### 27. Making copywriting and Translation easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madeline C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

As a copywriter at an international organization that works in multiple languages, Transifex has made everyday work simpler and more efficent. It's bridged a gap between my team and the localization team, allowing us to better coordinate and execute projects.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

At first it can be overwhelming to understand how to use, but once using it in practice it becomes easy to understand.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping our copy and localization databse up to date and accurate, in sync with every team involved for necessary projects

  ### 28. Transifex looks like it can do a lot, but can be difficult to use without explanation.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The ML componet is really helpful, I also like that it supports so many different languages and that I can have glossaries.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Figma is an add on, a lot of jargon I don't understand.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our platform is live all across the world and uses dozens of languages. T helps us organize all our resources.

  ### 29. Smooth translation process and very managed without much technicalities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

It has a very straightforward approach to push the translations and after that no need to touch the code part as the integration is already done. Even the non-tech team can take care of the translations to different locales once the standard english strings are there.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Sometimes, it is not very easy to navigate in the transifex dashboard. It is not very transparent which strings are already pushed and will they overwritten or not

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't need to maintain internal or application level localization. Since, we were not directly responsible to take care of the translations but due to technical implementation it has to live with us but now since tranlations are externalized to a different tool. So, the responsible team can access it and update it accordingly.

  ### 31. we have been using transifex for a year now and we are happy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Santiago S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

we have been using transifex for a year now and we are happy, before every time we wanted to change a translation we had to compile the app again and now it's all on the fly.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

perhaps the worst thing is that there is no way to cache the translations for when the user is offline

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have an app and before transifex we had the translations in a json file in the code, so if we wanted to change any translation we had to compile again the app and now we can change it at the moment

  ### 32. I like the outcome, but it's hard to understand the UI and the daily processes are not intuitive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksandr B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

how it allows us to translate our UI on different languages

it's easy for the devs to work with

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

as a PM I constantly receive notifications that there are translation issues in other projects that I have 0 relation with

it tool 2 meetings to understand what should I do with the issues as a PM, even considering that we work with translation agency and localization team

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we need to translate our UI into 5 different languages, and our product team speaks only 3. Thus, we need internal help with localization and maintenance the process

**Official Response from The Transifex Team:**

  ### 34. Excellent product and customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

I like the panel to manually translate, the integrations the product has, the customer service and the regular updates. The contact with the customer service was great and the latest updates also helped a lot.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

I needed some features that were not available, but with the latest updates I got everything I needed for my translations.
One thing to improve is the search functionality when looking to update something, for example, by key. It never found what I want so I have to manually scroll and look for the translation I want.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems Transifex is solving for us are the integration with GitHub, create PRs when there are some updates, we used to have translators, so it was helpful to manage their translations, the centralization for every transaltion in all our applications.

  ### 35. Transifex is the best thing to happen to UI translation since the invention of the dictionary!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Adopting Transifex has enabled us to support every UI language our customers want supported--by letting both internal staff and customer staff smoothly collaborate as their interest, fluency, and time permit to get a given language done! Internal staff have translated the UI into languages we have native fluency in, and customer staff have translated the UI into languages only they have fluency in. Starfleet can come to us and say "We really need the UI translated into Klingon," and we reply "No problem, we'll send Commander Worf an invitation to join Transifex and he can translate into Klingon at his convenience!" Transifex has absolutely revolutionized the process of localizing software user interfaces. It's the tool I've needed my whole career long!

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

There are literally no downsides to using Transifex. Just sign up and use it!

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has enabled us to localize our software user interface into half a dozen languages already without having to hire or manage professional translators. It's enabling us to provide a better user experience for customers and save money for us and customers alike.

  ### 36. A very useful tool for managing localization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan C. | Product Marketing Lifecycle Manager, Telecommunications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

I like how Transifex helps our team in managing localization to a couple dozen languages and handle the back-and-forth with translation agents.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Sometimes it's a bit difficult to navigate, for example if you need to get to a specific string and comment on it. Also export options are not very obvious. It can be difficult to find a resource you need and to understand the hierarchy.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex allows for easy collaboration with all involved parties: developers, translation agencies, localization managers. It's reducing the hassle involved in managing localization to multiple languages in rapid delivery speeds.

  ### 37. A really great tool for transalations.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

From my perspective, it's simple. It's really easy to use and implement into your project. My company didn't have any issues with integration of Transifex with our page.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

There's a few features that should be in a free model instead of the premium one (e.g. checking all strings as done at once, instead of clicking them one by one).

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If I want to translate my page into different language, I can proceed with translating it in a blink of eye.

  ### 38. Great platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juliana V. | Front-end developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Transifex proves to be an outstanding solution that has significantly enhanced our workflow. The user-friendly interface stands out, offering excellent usability that resonated well with our team of translators.
Developers, too, benefit greatly from Transifex, finding it to be a valuable tool that simplifies the development process.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

It would be easier if different users could configure the organization level and the project level. We still struggling with this issue.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our process of sending files for translation was completely manual. We needed to copy and paste the files into a doc and then send them to the translators. Text updates were a big problem and with Transifex this has all been resolved.

**Official Response from Nina Eleftheriadou:**

> Thank you so much for your feedback :) We’re happy you enjoy our product.

Your review means a lot to us and lets us know we’re on the right track!

Sometimes Transifex has a little bit of delay to publish the translations but its a little issue sometimes.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing a lot of translations for the same website, blogs, etc..

  ### 40. Transifex Dec 2023 review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Translation Memory is easy to maintain, which is the most important valuable assets in localization business (I think). And Transifex Live so far (but I haven't experienced deep enough).

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Filter resource files within a project does not remain the previous search. The default setting is alphabetical and the field is too small to see the entire resource file name.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Static Website we are trying to localize without engineering's heavy involved. Then Jacob mentioned me about Transifex Live. This misght save lots of localization cost because our engineering works are significantly reduced because of this. However I haven't completed the project yet so it may be too early to provide any feedback on this.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The agility with the translations and the possibility of multiple languages at the same time.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

It usually modifies tags, which makes it slower when reviewing.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The possibility of translating big amounts of text at once makes it a good teammate. It saves so much time.

  ### 46. Very solid tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Fits well in our processes, and helps our team translate into multiple languages. Engineering, research, product and design effectively use the tool, making it a place that people with various technical savviness can easily use.

Implementation and integration was very simple for our engineering team and allowed us to get up and running very quickly.

We use this tool any tie that we update our copy, which is almost sprintly.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

There are some quirks of the product, when we bold certain words it doesn't naturally format once translated into different languages, reducing some of the speed of translations.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work in multiple places where English isn't comprehensive, Transifex allows that burden to avoid our development cycle.

  ### 47. Transifex is a robust translation management platform with a user-friendly interface.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

I like Transifex for its user-friendly interface, collaborative features, and efficient workflow for managing translations and localization projects.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Some users have found the pricing structure of Transifex to be a bit complex or potentially costly for certain usage scenarios. In some cases, users have reported challenges with integrations or specific file format support, depending on the nature of their projects.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized Translation Management:
Problem: Managing translations across multiple projects and languages can be cumbersome and time-consuming.
Benefit: Transifex provides a centralized platform where users can manage all their translation projects in one place, facilitating organization and efficiency.
Collaborative Workflows:
Problem: Coordinating translation efforts among a team of linguists, developers, and project managers can lead to miscommunication and delays.
Benefit: Transifex offers collaborative features, enabling team members to work together seamlessly, share context, and improve communication, leading to faster and more accurate translations.
Version Control Integration:
Problem: Keeping track of changes and versions in a dynamic development environment can be complex.
Benefit: Transifex integrates with version control systems (e.g., Git), ensuring that translations stay synchronized with the latest versions of source content, reducing the risk of errors and inconsistencies.
Real-time Collaboration and Feedback:
Problem: Traditional translation workflows may involve delays in feedback and collaboration.
Benefit: Transifex enables real-time collaboration and feedback, allowing teams to work concurrently on translation projects and provide instant input, which can significantly speed up the localization process.

  ### 48. Quick back and forth

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander J. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

It has an easy to figure out inteface, allowing for quick communication between me, the lead localization programmer, and the translators. It allowed me to parlay an translation concerns and the translators to write down how they handled it and notes for me to program in.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

The biggest problem we had was it was occasionally awkward to pull down the translations and the occasional glitch in doing so. At the time, it didn't directly interact with our version control which meant I had to keep in sync the text to be translated between Transifex and Azure DevOps

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were using it as a communication tool between human translators (who might have used the machine translation as an assistant but I didn't see that) and me who was inserting text into the website.

  ### 49. Make easy the collaboration between the developers <--> product <--> translators

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The tc CLI tool is very easy to integrate in the Continuos Integration flow, so after that, adding new strings to translate will be so easy as adding these strings in the code as usual.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

I would like to support some kind of versioning. For example, when we work with branches, we have to wait to the final release to integrate these strings into the build.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We support multiple locales in our site, and transifex is the solution we use to manage those.

  ### 50. Fast, reliable and easily integrated in python/JS
