"Effortless Onboarding with Seamless Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I like that Trainual is really user-friendly for all people in all generations. It has a great way of updating people on when they need to do different trainings. It's very automated, and it's got a great user interface. I also appreciate that it saves us a ton of time and ensures everyone has equal training on things like software and overviews of our company and how we work. I find the knowledge checks at the end helpful because they ensure our team actually absorbs the information and can use it. It's easy to set up too, which is a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

Easier video editing would be great. It would be helpful to give some ideas for people who aren't as comfortable with recording video on how they can have some best practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

Equal training for every teammate, every time — that's exactly what we're here for. The video editing and best practices feedback is a great idea and we'll pass it along. Thank you for the kind words!

"Streamlined Training, Slight Navigational Challenges"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I really find Trainual easy to use, and I love having all my training documents and modules in one place. It's great being able to embed links and create modules with training-specific topics. These features provide solid support for the trainees and make it easier for me as the trainer to guide them through a clear training path. Also, setting it up was super easy! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

I think it's a bit slow at times and maybe too clicky like you have to click around a lot to find where you need to be. I think when trying to find a page or document I can get lost in all of the buttons or functions, creating more clear guidance may help to ease that. As for slowness, it may be because we have so many documents uploaded but at times it takes a few minutes to get to a new page or locate a section due to speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

One place for everything your trainees need — that's the foundation. The navigation and speed feedback is really useful and we're passing it along. Thanks for sharing!

"Trainual Makes Training Easy with Organized, Role-Based Access"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

Trainual is organized and easy to navigate. It is ideal for a company with members at different levels whose training needs are different. Access can be granted based on job duties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

There is no real downside to the application and user interface. I do wish the initial level would apply to more than 50 employees. We try to keep up with archiving someone that is no longer with the organization but having 75 at the initial level would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

Role-based access ensuring everyone gets exactly what they need — now that's exactly how easy training should be. The seat limit feedback is noted and appreciated. Thanks for sharing!

"Scalable, User-Friendly Onboarding with Real-Time Tracking"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

The key features we rely on include step-by-step process documentation, embedded multimedia such as videos, quizzes, and images, and the ability to assign content to specific roles or teams. The built-in tracking and completion reporting is especially valuable because it lets us monitor progress in real time and quickly spot any gaps in compliance or capability.

An unexpected benefit has been the consistency it brings to supporting the onboarding new employees. New employees receive a standardised experience regardless of their location or manager.

Trainual has strengthened our ability to deliver scalable, consistent, and trackable learning across our company.

Our employees are very happy with the user friendliness of this system, especially the AI Support Assistant and how much information is at their fingertips and the speed at which they can retrieve information when they need it, which saves time and money.

Our Trainual Administrators like the AI support they can use when creating content descriptors and for ideas when developing content, as well as the suggested templates available.

Our company completed a review of Trainual in comparison with other products approximately 10 months ago and Trainual has remained as our preferred platform due to its competitive pricing and administration capabilities.

We are very happy with the level of support we have at our fingertips with Trainual. We have never had a problem of no one getting back to us if we have a query or need more information or technical issues to resolve. The service we have received has been excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

The reporting features are relatively basic and do not provide the level of detail required for comprehensive training analysis. In particular, generating meaningful training summary reports for employees who have left the organisation is challenging. Once a user is archived, their training data is not easily accessible for reporting purposes. To extract a report, we are required to reactivate the user, which is inefficient and creates unnecessary administrative effort.

Even after reactivating users, the available reports lack depth and do not provide a consolidated or detailed view of completed training, progress, or historical learning activity. This makes it difficult to meet internal reporting requirements and limits our ability to maintain accurate training records for audit or compliance purposes.

Enhancing the reporting capability—particularly the ability to generate comprehensive, exportable reports for archived users—would significantly improve the platform’s overall effectiveness and reduce manual workarounds.

Another feature that could be improved are the Trainual Template Paths. We tried to use these to separate what we wanted our new starters to focus on from week to week by using the split functionality, but this is to rigid for our requirements as it stops the employee from being able to open any other content outside of the fixed section they first commence. we would rather this was a 'guide' and if the person wants to skip to other content outside of the split section they are currently working through, they should be able to do this.

Adding Tables into content can be a bit of a challenge. Sometimes it is difficult to format these properly.

We have had problems when developing content that we can lose it if we have accidentally got 2 Trainual windows open at the same time and have made edits in both windows (we use multiple screens so this does happen sometimes). Would be great if Trainual saved these edits regardless how many windows we're working from, or provided a warning that it is already open in another window.

Trainual us unable to provide us with Google Sheets reports, only excel, so when we receive these reports via email, we then have to convert them to Google sheets before we can analyse the data. Would be great if this happened automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

Really glad Trainual has become the go-to across your team — from admins building content to new hires finding answers fast. Consistent onboarding regardless of location or manager is exactly what it's built for. The reporting feedback, especially around archived users, is detailed and incredibly useful. We're passing it straight to our product team now. Thanks for being part of the Trainual community!

"Effortless Process Documentation with Trainual"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I use Trainual to keep up with company processes and I appreciate how it helps with documenting and creating a better workflow. It's beneficial for detailing processes with screenshots and steps. I find the UI easy to use and appreciate the good amount of customization it offers. Adding personality with GIFs and emojis makes dry content more interesting by breaking it into smaller chunks and adding some flair. It's the easiest training software I've used in my career, making it a 10 out of 10 for recommending to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

I wish we could use our company branding to make it look more custom to OUR needs. Our company has a branding guide I'd like to be able to upload so that the Trainual fonts, colors, etc. align with our company's guidelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

This is music to our ears, thank you so much for sharing! So glad the customization options are making the content more engaging for your team. The branding feedback is a great callout and something we'll definitely pass along to our product team.

"Streamlined SOP Management with Trainual"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I like using Trainual for making sure all employees are up to speed and have verified their understanding of any new process or change. It's great because it gives our managers reminders, ensuring that procedures don't become stale. By setting a renewal date for processes, it forces us to revisit and make necessary adjustments. This really helps reinforce consistency within the company, regardless of who is handling the task. The content area is used the most, and I like that we can create groups not only by department but also based on required awareness. The reports function helps us understand our people's engagement, which is very beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

There's a bit of a learning curve because Trainual is a much deeper product with more depth and breadth. It's just different from what we were used to with IT Glue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

We are thrilled to hear the renewal dates and reporting is keeping your team consistently aligned. Totally fair on the learning curve, if you ever want some tips and tricks our support team is happy to help! Thanks for being part of the Trainual community.

"Ideal Tool for Training and Content Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I really appreciate the quizzes feature in Trainual. They're not only fun and cool to create, but also offer various answering mechanisms like multiple choice, complete the sentence, and selected choices, which I think are pretty cool. I love how the system requires you to pass the quiz before it's marked as completed, which ensures thorough understanding. The chart showing percentages completed and the leaderboard feature is another aspect I enjoy, as it allows me to see how I compare with other employees. It's a great way to track progress. Furthermore, Trainual's organization is something I like; it's very neat and allows separation into training material and learning content, which makes navigation easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

I believe something that could be improved is when you're creating content and you have the type-in box, where you select the font size, the font color, if you're using bullets or indents, it could be upgraded to be more like Microsoft Word. Yeah, it would be nice to have more features in those tools and be more user-friendly. I need that thing to be as fast as I am. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

Thank you for this — the detail here is so helpful! Really glad the quizzes and leaderboard are making training feel engaging. The feedback on the content editor is heard and we will be sure to get this to our product team. We appreciate your thoughtful review!

"Engaging Onboarding and Training Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I use Trainual for onboarding all new hires and as a portal for all company policies, shared documents, SOPs, marketing, and sales documentation. It's now very easy to find all shared company info, and it makes the info engaging and fun. I like the ability to take a wall of words and format it so it's not boring; it's fun and engaging. Employees enjoy participating and absorb the info better. The ability to embed videos such as Loom videos is great and helpful, letting us make shorter, relevant videos and demos that are embedded into our trainings and SOPs. This way, employees can relate better and learn faster. I found the initial setup super easy and actually enjoyed the implementation and training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

Possibly the integration into other tools, specifically maybe other EOS related tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

This is such a joy to read! We love hearing that Trainual’s helping turn SOPs into something engaging and actually enjoyable to learn. So glad setup was smooth and that our team could support you along the way — and we’ll happily take the “nothing we don’t like”. Thank you so much! 😊

"Creative and Comprehensive, But Navigation Needs Improvement"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I like that Trainual allows for creativity with the use of graphics, PDFs, videos, screen shares, and different fonts and GIFs. I appreciate the format where it's divided into people, company, team resources, and processes. It also offers a way to not just have words on a screen but something to move people through and kind of entertain them as they go along. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

Just the overall finding of information in Trainual really makes people not want to use it. It's hard for me. I've created it, and I still can't find where things are. Sometimes as you're creating, it's not simple to create and find what you've created. The other hard thing about Trainual is the updating portion. There needs to be a better AI feature to help you create the content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

Thank you for such a thoughtful and honest review, it’s clear you’ve spent a lot of time building in Trainual! We’re really glad the flexibility around PDFs, links, visuals, and updates has been a strong fit for your team.

We really appreciate the feedback on searchability and organization, especially as content grows over time. If you’re open to it, our CX team would love to connect and help you work through structure, navigation, and ways to surface content so things feel easier day to day. We’re also sharing this feedback with our product team — the ideas you shared around visibility and updates are especially helpful. Thanks again for sticking with us and taking the time to share what would make Trainual work even better for you.
