"Build Your Company's Playbook with Trainual"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I love the interface and how intuitive it is to edit and create content. It is connected to our HRIS so user information is always current. The AI search is excellent, searching our large database of policies and procedures with ease. Implementation was a breeze, with Chris and Fatima by my side we were up and running in 4 weeks. Plus, with Trainual U, there's no excuse NOT to be an expert. We're already saving a lot of time by using Trainual as our company's playbook. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

I have not had great luck with the AI writing tools, there seems to be a very long processing time and I'd rather use a different LLM to achieve my writing goals at this time. There have been occasional network issues, and several bugs I have reported with no updates yet. Looking forward to future releases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

So glad you're seeing value so quickly and that Chris and Fatima made the launch smooth. We appreciate the feedback on the AI writing tools and will be sure to get this to our product team. Thank you for the thoughtful review!

"Great for Building Training Paths and Organizing Processes"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

The ability to create a training path with Trainuals

The basic outline of pages and steps

Organizing by processes and policies

Importing a pdf version from previous training manuals

The ability to use AI to create a Trainual

Tracking team member progress Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

Lack of capability to set default formatting options (most frustrating). Specific examples: I always have to move tables from the center to the left and add borders. I always have to change the font type - especially when copying and pasting from another document.

Not being able to send an unpublished document to team member(s) for input. There should be an intermediate step along the lines of "Share for Input" or "Team Review"

***Stupid screenshot upload won't let me upload. I tried 2 formats with no luck. .png, .jpeg, My file sizes are 243kb and 215kb, respectively*** Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

You clearly put a lot of thought into how you build training — thanks for laying this out so honestly. Love hearing how training paths, AI, and progress tracking are working for you. The formatting defaults and share idea make a ton of sense, we'll send this to our product team as they continue to make enhancements. That screenshot upload issue sounds frustrating, our support team would definitely want to help you troubleshoot that if you’re open to it. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

"Effortless Documentation and Training"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I really like Trainual because it's easy to use for both documenting projects and training purposes. It's super easy to set up, and I didn't face any issues getting started. It’s valuable to me as it helps keep all processes and training materials organized in one place, making it easier to document procedures and ensuring the information is readily available whenever I need to review or update a process. When I have a question about a process that I don't perform very often, I can simply go to Trainual and review the step-by-step instructions to refresh my memory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

I would like to have the option to reorganize the steps of each process without having to open the process itself, and instead do it directly from the index. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

Great callout on the index reorganization, that's a really smart workflow improvement and we're always looking for ways to make things more effecient. We'll be sure to get this to our product team. So glad Trainual is your go-to for quick refreshers and keeping everything in one place!

"Versatile LMS with Multilingual Support and Easy Editing"
4/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I use Trainual as a Learning Management System for operations and compliance, and I love the ease of editing and managing from both a user and employee perspective. It's especially helpful for entry-level managers who are new to LMS software because it's easy to navigate. The multiple language feature is fantastic since our company has many non-English speakers. Being able to provide training content and modules in English, Spanish, Korean, and Chinese without manually translating is a miracle for our diverse team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

I find some of the editing components to be a bit outdated, especially when compared to Canva and similar tools. It would be great if embedding or inserting links could be more seamless, and having transitions for text boxes or slides would enhance the experience. Also, the initial setup was a bit clunky, and while we eventually got it to where we needed, it could definitely be improved. Another issue is that while we use Asana and Slack, they are not integrated with Trainual. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

Three locations, 180+ teammates, one place to manage it all — that's exactly what Trainual's built for. This is music to our ears and we are so happy to hear Trainual has helped you organize your processes and policies. Thanks for being part of the Trainual community!

"User-Friendly, Flexible, and a Huge Time-Saver"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I love how user-friendly it is, and how it gives you plenty of options to create exactly what you need. I regularly use the document and test features for employees. The "write with AI" option saves me a lot of time, and it corrects my mistakes while also giving me ideas when I need them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

I would love to have more text editing options, similar to what we find in Microsoft Word or Google Docs. For example, when creating a document, there’s no option to choose the font or adjust the font size. This really limits our choices when modifying the content. If it’s possible to add these options during document creation, that would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

AI content creation saving time and catching mistakes is exactly what it's built for. Font and text editing options are a popular request and we'll make sure it gets to the product team. Thanks for sharing!

"Trainual: A Game-Changer for Staff Training"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I love how easy and simple it is to use Trainual, not only from an admin end to set it up but also in making it gamified and fun for the staff to use. It's easy to measure and monitor, and the staff love seeing their results and how they stack up against their peers. The initial setup was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be, with the ability to drop files in, organize, upload, and edit in real time before publishing. Now, with all the updates Trainual has implemented, it has become far superior and much easier to use. Updating new processes and SOPs today is so much more simplified and quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

The only thing that doesn't work as well or could be improved on are the departments versus the roles versus how everybody is registered. That is a little confusing and can be very cumbersome. If it was simplified into just departments or broken down into just roles, that would be a lot easier than having so many different variations of the same training in different areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

Staff competing on leaderboards and actually enjoying training is a huge win in our book! The departments vs. roles structure feedback is a really helpful callout and something our Customer Experience team would be happy to help work through with you if you're interested. Thanks for sharing!

"Trainual makes my life easier"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

Trainual allows me to create systems, and it is systems that make everything easier. The options within Trainual allow me to make it "my own" by creating groups and subjects and organizing the content.

One of the best parts is that our team "bought in" to using it and the users love it! Easy to find the information and training they are using it for. Someone on the team is in the system daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

Once I had the system designed and populated there have been no real downsides. The work has to go in on the front end learning the system and some trial and error on setting it up the way you ultimately want it to work and your purpose for using it in the first place. That's true of any new system and Trainual isn't immune to it. The training videos do make the process easier as well as the direct support I received from the support group. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ben Lofrumento of Trainual

Morris, this is music to our ears 🙌

Love that Trainual’s become your go-to for systems and that your team’s all-in on using it daily. Huge win that it’s taking repetitive questions off your plate and keeping compliance training on track. The mix of self-directed and structured learning sounds like it’s working perfectly for your world — exactly what we love to see.

Appreciate the shoutout to our training videos and support crew, too! 💜

"Seamless Playbook Creation, Exceptional Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I really like Trainual for its organized structure, which makes it easy for everyone to access what they need. The interface is really nice and easy to navigate. I find the support incredible as I've never had any issues reaching out to the support team and getting quick answers. The community is great too, with the Trainual community being very active, helping me learn a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

There's a little bit of a learning curve with training lately. They have lots of different ways to create content, so keeping it organized once there's a significant amount can be a challenge, as well as the upkeep afterwards with multiple users and different access levels. Also, the reporting could be improved; I'd like to see more data points coming out of it and for it to be more easily exportable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

Our support team and community will love to hear this — thank you so much! The reporting and organization feedback at scale are both great callouts we'll make sure get to the right people.

"User-Friendly Training Modules That Transformed Our Onboarding"
5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

User-friendly interface and content creation: It’s easy to build modules that combine text, images, videos, embedded links, and quizzes/tests in one place. The AI Assist feature (content generation and summarization) is especially helpful for getting past the blank-page problem when documenting processes. The hundreds of industry templates also speed up initial setup dramatically.

Onboarding transformation: We were able to cut our average onboarding time significantly, moving from weeks of shadowing and scattered docs to a more structured, self-paced experience. New team members can learn at their own pace, take quizzes to confirm understanding, and e-sign acknowledgments. Managers also get clear visibility into progress and completion rates.

Mobile app works well: The mobile app makes it easy for team members to complete trainings on the go, which is a big help for field or remote staff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

Not a full-featured enterprise LMS: It’s strong for SOPs and straightforward training, but it falls short on some advanced customization, deeper reporting, and more complex branching logic that larger organizations may require. The dashboard and analytics are acceptable overall, yet they can still feel a bit basic—or even confusing—at times.

Learning curve for admins: Even though the interface is mostly intuitive, configuring smart role-based learning paths, quizzes, and integrations takes more planning, testing, and iteration than I expected. Some users also mention occasional delays where content updates aren’t reflected right away.

Mobile app limitations: The app works well for completing assigned training, but creating content and handling admin tasks are still much better on a desktop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

Cutting weeks of shadowing down to a structured, self-paced experience, that's a win if we've ever heard one. Really appreciate the detailed and balanced feedback here; the reporting and admin learning curve callouts are genuinely helpful and headed to our product team. Thanks for being part of the Trainual community!

"Trainual Makes Training Engaging and Reliable, with Great Performance and Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I like being able to make our process seem more alive with GiFs, emojis, and video links. As well as the ease of adding individuals to processes and trainings and sharing when needed. Performance is top notch and I don't have to worry about it freezing or being down. It works well with loom and youtube so we can upload company videos. I don't handle pricing but I will say that with what we are currently using per employee it is a good investment and makes it easy for managers to see what the team is and isn't completing or where drop off is. I have had great experience when asking for help and assistance with using Trainual to its full potential. I use the AI feature when cleaning up and coming up with my descriptions of each step or a process. That makes things a lot smoother and saves me time on minute things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

The only downside is that you can't upload an video that you want without paying for the higher package. At our current size that isn't something that our company wants to do. I do appreciate the alternative of loom and youtube at least. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

GIFs, emojis, and video links making processes feel alive — yes, that's exactly the training energy we're here for. So glad the AI features and manager visibility are saving you time and keeping your team accountable. Thank you so much for the thoughtful review!
