I like that Trainual allows for creativity with the use of graphics, PDFs, videos, screen shares, and different fonts and GIFs. I appreciate the format where it's divided into people, company, team resources, and processes. What do you dislike about Trainual? Just the overall finding of information in Trainual really makes people not want to use it. It's hard for me. I've created it, and I still can't find where things are. Sometimes as you're creating, it's not simple to create and find what you've created. I find the ease of creating modules in Trainual quite straightforward, which stands out as one of its best features. This capability makes it convenient to develop training modules, representing an aspect of the system that I appreciate. What do you dislike about Trainual? I find setting up Trainual to be challenging due to a lack of guidance on how to fill out necessary forms and effectively map responsibilities and groups. We've had to devise our own system to compensate for this gap. Additionally, while Trainual is supposed to help with SOPs and passing down institutional knowledge, it hasn't delivered tangible benefits yet, aside from indicating to employees that we are attempting to implement training processes. The process of integrating content into Trainual has been cumbersome, requiring numerous webinars and substantial preparatory work, which has been quite time-consuming. The email notifications that group owners and managers receive are excessive and appear irrelevant, yet there seems to be no straightforward way to disable them, which has been irritating. Trainual recently decided to change how we're able to categorize and organize our information with no feedback or warning to its users (at least not from my company). They are not giving us the ability to continue using and organizing our information in the way that we already have it set up. So basically we have to change our whole setup to make it work going forward. We're looking for alternatives instead. The mothly fees are way too expensive to be this limited in the use of the software and who knows when they'll make another arbitrary change that makes our account useless. We’re super thrilled about the “great” part but obviously not about the “until it wasn’t” part. First off, you’re right about the lack of timely communication leading up to the recent releases. That was a definite miss on our part. The good news is we’ve already made major adjustments to our communication process. Going forward, there will be advance notice long before any major program update along with guidance on how to prepare for it. You may have already noticed this in action as we help you prepare for the upcoming migration of Collections to Groups. Speaking of which, you mentioned that you felt you no longer have the ability to organize your information the way you’ve had it in the past and that you feel you have to change your whole setup to make it work. The main organizational change we’re making is removing the Collections feature simply because is largely inflexible and limiting in what you can do with it. Here’s a quick video (link below) that explains why. Instead, we’ll utilize the new Groups feature in place of collections. The good news is these do exactly the same thing your collections did (grouping content), but the offer other abilities that collections didn’t have. The video above covers these abilities as well. All that said, it’s clear you’ve taken meaningful time to organize your content in a way that made sense for you and your company, and these changes have caused a disruption to that organization. It's very user-friendly. It's a one stop shop. It's easy to add a process (with pictures!) if there isn't one created already. I also like that you can break it down into steps. That when I create a process I'm still prompted to take the course. I think it's a bit over prices and we never received any training so based off this survey I would say we're only using a small portion of what all it could do. This survey has shown me we are probably only using a 10th of what trainual could do but I don't even know where to look. I'm also a bit annoyed with the length of this survey. And it's easy for them to add a process if one isn't created. It reminds users to take the tests/processes they haven't completed. I love that Trianual allows us to cut our on-boarding time in half. before it we did long meetings and long strategy sessions to hire new employees.
