"Trados Studio is a complex, but excellent software for Computer-Assisted-Translator."
5/5
What do you like best about Trados?

It has amazing features, and opens plenty of file formats, offers excellent QA features, alignment, there are plugins for virtually everything. In addition, it is fast and responsive. I absolutely love working with Trados. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trados?

The main issue with Trados Studio is that is fairly complex, and often throws errors. The paid customer support is a bit...disappointing to say the least. No complaints other than that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best!"
5/5
What do you like best about Trados?

Defining something I like best is hard because all the details and standard setter features make the SDL perfect. It is quite the best offline CAT tool I have used for a long time, and I use it every day. TM features, autocorrect (simple yet lacking in many CAT tools), termbase flexibility, import/export features, and lately cloud features make it unrivaled. Unpaid customer support is provided only for license issues, and when I needed it, support personnel helped me with the utmost care. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trados?

It still sometimes shuts down while working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent automated translations"
5/5
What do you like best about Trados?

The most important advantages are saving time and resources. Automated translation service is a game-changer for businesses seeking efficient localization solutions. Its advanced technology delivers accurate translations quickly, saving time and resources. The platform's user-friendly interface and seamless integration make it a valuable asset for global communication and content dissemination. While some nuances may still require human touch, their automated translation service proves to be a reliable tool for enhancing multilingual content workflows. We have enjoyed how efficient it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trados?

Despite its strengths, it does come with a few disadvantages. One notable drawback is its dependency on machine translation, which can occasionally result in inaccuracies or missed nuances, especially for complex or specialized content. Additionally, while the platform offers integration options, some users might find the setup process to be somewhat intricate, requiring technical expertise. Another consideration is that the cost of using WorldServer's services may add up over time, particularly for extensive translation needs. Lastly, the support for certain languages or dialects might be limited, potentially posing a challenge for businesses targeting less commonly spoken languages. "A comprehensive translation toolkit which could be better"
4/5
What do you like best about Trados?

It supports a wide range of files and languages and provides a vast set of features such as biText creation and quality verification. It is also widely accepted in the translation and localization industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trados?

Generally speaking, Trados is slow. It is written with filthy codes and because of that, it crashes a lot. Moreover, it doesn't really get the most out of the processing power of modern CPUs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Better than any desktop CAT tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Trados?

Trados Studio is the best desktop CAT tool that a freelance linguist can benefit from. It meets my needs just fine and helps with the terminology perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trados?

The fact that it sometimes gets a bit laggy when working on larger projects and that it is launched slowly. It may work a bit faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
