Use TouchNet if it works with your Management Software! **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2019 **What do you like best about TouchNet U.Commerce?** TouchNet allows me to view students' payment plan history through the same viewpoint they are utilizing. The system allows our school to create payment plan options for the students' to enroll in, as well as, three different payment options. **What do you dislike about TouchNet U.Commerce?** TouchNet does not link directly/automatically with Oracle Peoplesoft; therefore, it leaves much to be desired when recalculating student payments/balances based on adjustments made within Peoplesoft. **What problems is TouchNet U.Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?** TouchNet allows students to set up automatic payments from their personal funds or from alternative sources. ### 2. The majority of our students are dorm students, so parents like that they can log in and immediately see what is going on with their child's account and finances. **What do you dislike about TouchNet U.Commerce?** It is very frustrating to our parents that they cannot change the date that an automatic payment comes out. If payment is due on the 24th, then automatic payments must also come out on the 24th rather than letting them set it up to come out on the 20th or whatever other day they choose. The system is not user friendly. The emails about payment changes is very unclear, hard to read, and for parents who have multiple children on campus, it does not readily identify which student the account is referring to. TouchNet does not work well with Colleague and often times when things go wrong, they each blame each other. TouchNet is not fast at responding to ticket help. They do not provide good customer service to a very expensive product. **Recommendations to others considering TouchNet U.Commerce:** Find something that works better with your system. I would not recommend using. **What problems is TouchNet U.Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?** The benefit has been when parents are able to view things instantly as I am speaking with them over the phone. The payment plans are fluid which helps as students make new charges. ### 3. I like that students are able to pay online and set up automatic payments. **What do you dislike about TouchNet U.Commerce?** Touchnet disconnects a lot and has issues with balance matching up our system.
