The upsides are that it was easy to connect to my data sources, the data prep steps are a nice way to build your report, and the final product is digestable slick looking widgets that provide summary information about the business. Because Toucan is not as popular as the big players (Tableau and PowerBI) there are very few posts on the Internet to learn from... you're basically limited to the docs and support. Oftentimes my company wants large tabular reports (tens of thousands of rows) and this is not something that Toucan does well... the default number of rows in the page of a Toucan table is 5.
