What do you like best about Toucan?

The platform is very flexible, comprehensive, and straightforward. It has powerful back-end capabilty. I often use direct SQL queries, but the platform has good data scrubbing and processing capabilities as well.

They have deployed a new Version 3 platform, and I am awaiting access to that. The company has made a lot of good changes that will reduced deployment time. Also, they have improved the pdf reporting which heretofore was weak. While performance is good most of the time, they are promising improved performance with this latest version. What do you dislike about Toucan?

I want the ability to have additional descriptive labels to forms. They have applied updates to the platform which has resulted in my site being unavailable to my customers. Customer support can take 2-3 days to get a response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Toucan:

For me, the platform had the right combination of built-in capabilities with the ability to be very granular. The built-in menu framework allows for deeper insight into the story about the data in an easy-to-follow manner. When I initially started using the product, the queries (or 'connectors' ) were too generic and caused speed issues. I learned over time to design more connectors that were crafted to the analysis at hand and had a much better response. The people are accommodating and pleasant. They promise the ability to walk you through creating your first app, and they do deliver! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Toucan solving and how is that benefiting you?

Helping ready-mix producers identify inefficiencies and waste in their production facilities. Using the platform, I've been able to segregate and separate all aspects of the production process, allowing for specific actions to be taken and then verified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Toucan?

Toucan allows the implementation of a wide range of connectors to link the different data sources of the company. The "Storytelling" mechanism is well thought out, allowing essential KPIs to be condensed on a primary dashboard and then enabling a deeper dive into the data. The tool quickly empowers business users to independently implement their Dashboards. Toucan Toco presents limitations for complex data analysis, particularly by lacking certain advanced features available in specialized tools, such as in-depth statistical analyses or machine learning algorithms.

- We were well supported in the implementation of our project, and furthermore, there are many self-service resources and inspirations to replicate.

- Ability to manage access at different levels to allow our clients to view their dashboards.
