I would say that one of the not so positive experiences has to do with the lack of feedback from Toptal's matchers and coordinators. In general, I have to chase them to know how my application is doing or when the project starts, or in case of delays, what is happening and when the engagement will finally start, or asking for the customer's feedback about my job. As a suggestion, it would be important to me that Toptal would be a little more transparent about the final hourly fee charged to the client for my role on an engagement. The most obvious best trait regarding Toptal would be their model of searching the right job for your based on your experience and profile. Their diligent matching team does an excellent job of locating the appropriate job of you. Secondly, since you have already cleared their own technical tests, the other companies don't tend you put you through another round of odious technical tests.
