I love that I can track various projects throughout the day. It sends me weekly email reports that helps me see how I'm spending my time, what areas are taking up most of my time and it helps me prioritize as well as project my time management better. I work on various projects and finally I found something that helps me manage all the madness in one easy location. Sometimes when I forget to turn off the timer, I get email reminders and I love that even more. **What do you dislike about Toggl Track?** TBH I love it and haven't really found reasons to dislike it. I've been using it for several weeks now and find it super user friendly. My husband actually introduced me to this tool because he also found it super useful and valuable and thought I would too. I'm tracking so many projects, I think I will need more color options as the time goes by. I already recommended it to my friends and encouraged my colleagues to use it as well. Toggl Track is a very easy tool to use and in the one year I have used it, they have made so much improvements. I am on the free version and I find it's very easy to track time, create projects, describe what you are working on, for collaborating with teams, and finally simple and straightforward to generate and download reports. It also allows for expansion so as your team grows you can move to the paid version. I would recommend to any business that relies on timesheets or in this era and going forward where most people are working from home. **What do you dislike about Toggl Track?** I haven't had any issues with the software so far on the free version. **Recommendations to others considering Toggl Track:** It's a tool easy to use. With Toggl I have detailed, accurate and honest reports of how I've spent my time, and can export this data for my invoices and project updates. **What do you dislike about Toggl Track?** The data export isn't 100% what I need. The CSV file is OK, but I still need to process it in a custom pivottable in Excel to merge together multiple times for a single day into something that can actually be put into a detailed invoice. **What problems is Toggl Track solving and how is that benefiting you?** As an independent contractor usually working on time-and-material projects, I need to provide detailed time-sheets for my invoicing and tracking. I used to do this by hand in Excel sheets, which works OK until you are in too deep (or yes, too stressed) to remember, and then at the end of the week or month you end up trying to reconstruct what you have been doing by looking at commit times for your contributions, emails sent, emails received, chat logs... Well, Toggl solves that for me, for about 90%. When I forgot to turn it on in the morning or after a break, it reminds me. When I forget to turn it off, it reminds me (and I can edit). It tracks my times and projects and I can export to CSV to then process into timesheets and invoices. Highly recommended to allow you to stop wasting so much time on tracking admin and just get on with the work. One word of warning: you may not like the truth it tells you about the actual time that you manage to work! ### 8. I love that it's easy to use and intuitive to figure out when you're first starting out. I love that there are 3 (4?) ways to access Toggl track: Desktop, Browser Extension, Browser "Popped Out Into A Tab" version, and a Phone app (I'm on Android, my VA is on iPhone). I track my own time AND my VA tracks their too as a part of my "team". I can leave the timer running when I leave to run a business errand and change to the next task on my phone while I'm out and they're automatically synced. Also if I make a mistake I can update it. It's really become ingrained in me to check what I'm doing to make sure that Toggl Track reflects that activity, which has the added benefit of keeping me on track when I inevitably fall down a rabbit hole or are otherwise not working on my most productive use of time. When it's time to submit hours for paycheck for my VA I pull one report with a few clicks and get a PDF that I send along. It takes less than 30 seconds. Finally, I love that it's free. As a small family business, my budget is VERY limited. All funds that I can direct to advertising/marketing projects I do it. **What do you dislike about Toggl Track?** I really had to think about this one, because there's not much I don't like about it. After much pondering, I have to say that the only thing I don't like about it is the layout for the Chrome Extension version that's located in the upper right corner of my browser screen. I always "Pop Out" that version out into a tab on the browser. And I don't really use the desktop version for the same reason. I use the browser tab version and my phone most often. I can't exactly pinpoint when I don't like about the desktop and the browser extension "non-popped-out" versions. I love that there's lots of options for people to choose from based on their preferences...and I've selected my preferences quite quickly. Finally, I'm not a huge fan of pink...but I like purple, so when the color changed I was surprised but got used to it quickly. **What problems is Toggl Track solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping track of VA work was the biggest problem I solved using Toggl Track. Having an easy report to submit for payroll was a huge plus. Coworkers might make use of it individually to track themselves with no pressure from others if needed and it's pretty useful to keep track of time spend on futile tasks, compared to more rewarding proyects **What do you dislike about Toggl Track?** Manual mode is a bit clumbersome to work with, because it is rather confusing to set the hours, specially around midday when AM and PM switch. Reports sent to an e-mail are not instant, they take about twenty minutes in some cases depending of the request. **Recommendations to others considering Toggl Track:** Be creative on your use of the webpage. Sometimes you can set general tasks as proyects in order to track their time, even if they are not proyects themselves. You can easily time meetings, use of WhatsApp, data cleanup, standard reports and more. Try using it daily as well, since timer mode is a lot more useful to work with and it results in an ease of mind, allowing you to forget about marking the time like it was some sort of work clock of old times. If I am scrolling for something, it takes longer than it should. One of them costs nothing and is important, especially for small teams or offices. You monitor your time, add unlimited tasks, and use the reporting features. It integrates well with other webapps through their button and has nice reporting functionality that give me a quick overview of what I spent my time on and report to employer/customer. Even if I forget to track my time it is very easy to quickly add something or start/stop recording while on the go so there is no barrier to keep it correct. **What do you dislike about Toggl Track?** The new color scheme. They recently switched it to purple with the addition of additional tools. I don't really care for the color scheme. The purple is a little too loud, and there is a light pink background that annoys me a little. But only just when it changed. Its still ugly in my opinion but it's only a minor issue and doesn't make the tool any worse. **What problems is Toggl Track solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have used it for both freelance work to be able to share my hours with clients, but not as a consultant on a fixed contract, I still use it myself to keep track of my hours.
