The Together Mentorship program is user friendly and made it easy to be connected with someone I work well with. While I don't use the portal very much outside of initial set up, I noticed there are a variety of resources and tips to make meets more successful and connections more meaningful. I like their ability to generate questions that are relevant to my internship. Not even sure how they do it, but picking out a few of those questions helps a lot with getting a conversation started. It often generates questions that would be more applicable for people who are not interacting everyday, which can make some of the questions repetitive or unneeded. If the system knew that me and my mentor interact everyday then I think it could generate more applicable and specific questions that could benefit both me and my mentor. It is so versatile, easy to use and implement, and integrate to be cohesive with the software(s) we use as a company, but also was very customizable to meet the needs of the program we were putting together for our employees. The staff was amazing from a support standpoint, and we couldn't be happier with how the platform turned out in the end, and it was definitely a value-add to the mentoring initiative that we put together and launched. The system prepares both the mentor and mentee for a value added conversation and has defined action steps. The best part about using together mentorship is that it takes the discomfort out of the relationship by offering a clear beginning and end as well as success metrics. It is useful for fostering connections between colleagues, professionals, and meeting new people through the friendliness of the platform, as you know that people are there willing to help, making the connection easier. Even for companies, it is an excellent tool to connect different areas, especially between different cities and countries. When you want to connect on LinkedIn, you often feel embarrassed to bother the other person, but seeking guidance through a platform like this helps you do it with more confidence, knowing that the other person will be willing. The connection with the calendar doesn't seem very functional to me; in the end, the connection link isn't added, and most of the time, the session ends up being scheduled outside of it.
