I love making lists, and Todoist made it look clean and sleek. My manager wanted me to create a holistic view of our boards, so I created different groups to help organize, but my formatting was not reflected in her account. The notifications were also a little spotty; sometimes, we weren't notified of deadlines. There's also a learning curve with Todoist; I needed to watch many YouTube videos to learn how to organize my account. Its easy to add task in the app but it defaults to top, it doesn ask if it needs to be in subcategories or lists. It organized my day and tasks and is very user friendly. When you input tasks, it recognizes where to place it on the calendar without you as the user having to do it manually. **What do you dislike about Todoist?** I wish the app would show sub-projects under the parent project again, like it does on the desktop version. In addition.. When you view a project, you'll no longer see all the tasks in its sub-projects? I dont understand why this would be an update.. it feels senseless to me. I also wish that this app didn't have a subscription fee. I have no problem paying a one time fee but I don't feel like a glorified To-Do app requires a monthly subscription fee. Especially when considering using something like this for larger TEAM management projects, I would likely go to an app that requires only a one time payment and can handle larger projects as well as individual to do lists, than get 2 separate ones. **Recommendations to others considering Todoist:** I would recommend you consider the importance of viewing the sub-project tasks inside the main project, as this is something this app does not allow, and is considered an impedance by many people within our task force. With the ability to use it on my desktop, android phone and as a browser plugin (so I can use it on a chrome book or when I log in to Chrome remotely) I have my to-do list handy where ever I go. **What do you dislike about Todoist?** I haven't found a way to get integration with Google Calendar in a way that works for me, It syncs tasks, but the manner in which it does so isn't fluid with the way that I work so that is probably due to user error or my personal preference and less likely a reflection of the program. **What problems is Todoist solving and how is that benefiting you?** Todoist is great because you can assign tasks to projects and place them into a team inbox to assign them to your team members. We aren't implementing this feature yet, but look forward to doing so in the new year. I love the feature of "post-poning" projects too. Often-times in my work day more pressing items tend to pop up which renders my to-do list moot. With Todoist I can push lower priority items to another day, while still keeping it on my docket to get done. **What do you dislike about Todoist?** I dislike that calendar view is a premium feature. It's a basic tool, but it would be so helpful to see my To do list in calendar format rather than a list. The fact Todoist limits what users can do in the free version at such an extreme amount, it does make me seek out other options to use that meets more of my needs. It's not worth paying for such basic features. **Recommendations to others considering Todoist:** If you don't plan purchasing the Premium version, Todoist likely won't meet your needs. If you are considering a project management tool for yourself personally, Todoist is a good option for small projects or simple lists. However, if you would like to collaborate with colleagues more easily while working on complex, multi-faceted projects I would recommend using another program. Todoist does not seem to be the best value on the market. After searching for the best project management tools, Todoist doesn't fit the bill for most of the projects I work on. **What problems is Todoist solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sometimes with new priorities that pop up at work, it is very easy for me to get distracted from items I originally intended to get done. I love that you are able to schedule tasks that you want done and you are able to create different tasks lists **What do you dislike about Todoist?** I do not like that you have to be on wifi or the internet to sync your lists if you've added items on a different device. **Recommendations to others considering Todoist:** I don't care too much for the game aspect of this app. This app gives me most of what I need done and It's a great app for anyone who needs to keep track of things they need done for the day **What problems is Todoist solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm ensuring that I complete all tasks I must perform in order to be successful in school. It allows me to keep track of what I need accomplished on all of my devices ### 31. Perhaps not as intuitive as expected. **Recommendations to others considering Todoist:** it's a great app to start off in. But I've learned that for major projects or for a larger team dynamic it may not be the best to-do app for you. **What problems is Todoist solving and how is that benefiting you?** I tried using it for work but found that other software worked better for project management that needed various items. It doesn't group tasks well. **Recommendations to others considering Todoist:** Use it for what it's good for! This is not a project management software: it is a glorified to do list, which is super useful if a to do list is what you need. **What problems is Todoist solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were trying to solve the problem of understanding tasks of an entire team. What we realized is that todoist is good for one person to track their to-dos, but doesn't work well for more complicated assignments and team structures. ### 33. Todoist has the features to become a good tool including a good mobile App. **What do you dislike about Todoist?** I have found that I use Todoist less and less. I put things that I need to do on it but somehow it has not earned its place in my daily workflow, probably because it is a standalone system. It does integrate with Google Calendar but I had to switch that off because it did not integrate in way that saves time. **What problems is Todoist solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time and priority management. ### 36.
