Toast is great for reporting and getting you business metrics quickly and efficiently. Building out your menus and programming everything is easy. They integrate in with various other RMSs which is great. The customer support lines are never too busy and they usually are friendly and outgoing when you have to call them. Toast hardware is terrible. We are always having issues with specifically our S1 handhelds. Sent at least 5-6 back on warranty replacement however now that we have just passed a year and I have 3 handhelds that have stopped working properly and they are just outside of the warranty period. I use the Toast app to take orders, process payments, and manage daily operations efficiently. The one thing I wish Toast would do better, is consider how the information from the POS will flow to accounting systems. A lot of the time features are released that favor the operations side of the business but leave accounting having to do a lot of extra work in order to get information recorded correctly.
