## Tizen Reviews
  ### 1. Minimilast and fast Platform

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Tizen?**

Very lightweight no frills platform. Development is done in c/c++, so you get very fine grained control over what you are building.

**What do you dislike about Tizen?**

Since its not widely adapted, its bit difficult to do Development in tizen as compared to other widely used platforms like iOS or Android.

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am working to make the widgets used in the platform flexible so that you can use the same widget on all the devices without worrying about compatibility issues.

  ### 2. Very good user experience of Tizen

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manish S. | Founder Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Tizen?**

The overall user experience, design and functionality. Everything is good.

**What do you dislike about Tizen?**

Some functions need to improve in next version

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have any problem. Easy to use and nice design.

  ### 3. Tizen allows you to leverage your HTML/CSS/JS knowledge to make mobile apps

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris M. | Lead Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Tizen?**

The upsides of using Tizen are:
* Can create apps using existing web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS)
* You can re-use code from front end projects
* The IDE lets you see what you preview what your app will look like/ function quickly

**What do you dislike about Tizen?**

* When I used it, it was very time consuming to get started, and actually see anything on the device. Needed a ton of certificates, and it still didn't work. The docs weren't updated, and wasted several days trying to get the initial build on the device because of the inconsistencies. And if you wanted to test on multiple devices, you had to repeat a lot of things to get it working.

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The interface for using the device specific features/ hardware worked well through JavaScript. It was nice to be able to test everything initially through just a web browser, verify it looked the same in the IDE, and finally get it on the device, looking pretty much the same as testing in browser.
Overall if you can get past the setup time, it's much faster to work in than other mobile platforms.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan C. | Director of Digital Strategy, Food Production, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Tizen?**

I worked closely with the Tizen team from their focus on mobile OS into their transition to embedded devices. Their insight to adjust the platform for embedded screens has come along quite well and is a strong platform for smart TVs and other devices now.

**What do you dislike about Tizen?**

Their early focus in mobile left a lot to be desired. As a new platform it lacked documentation and robust features to utilize.

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To use Tizen to layer into Samsung embedded devices or to use it for your own embedded OS on a unique device both works quite well to have a strong toolset to work from and build off of.

  ### 8. Tizen was very promising mobile OS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vahagn N. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Tizen?**

**What do you dislike about Tizen?**

Performance and the fact that es6 was not realized yet and the platforms bring the JavaScript mess with him.

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As Tizen was very fresh platform we tried to implement PicsArt photo editing app for Tizen. That was one of the most advanced applications in all Tizen store. When you have ready web application for Tizen it was very easy to port it for browser environment.

  ### 9. Light weight OS extensively used in Samsung Smart Gears and Smart Home Appliances

Tizen OS offers great opportunities to build smart devices and iot devices.
A lot of applications available on Android, IOS are still not built over Tizen and thus has hampered its popularity especially in smart phones. These need to built over Tizen in order for it to flourish and compete with OS.

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Samsung Smart home devices and smart gears are being built on it.
Being a light weight OS , latency is very low and works pretty well without any lag with smaller lesser built devices with low RAM smoothly.

  ### 10. TIZEN a perfect replacements for ANDROID.

Do not find anything . Everything is great and perfect.
