It's been nearly impossible to do both implementations simultaneously because testing is much easier with live data. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are hoping to have 3-way match automation, which is still TBD. Much easier than doing a check run through NetSuite and submitting payments from our bank. The ability to specify which users should approve an invoice is also helpful. Other software we've tried structured approvals by department, but it's not always the same person in each department that manages the vendor, so having this flexibility has been nice. The vendor portal is great because it allows vendors to input their payment and tax information. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** It's still a relatively young company and their product has room for improvement. The website can be slow and glitchy at times, more often than I would like. Implementation and integration with NetSuite had a lot of challenges. We still get random "false positive" sync errors that have to be resolved. Integration with NetSuite is good but not great as it still has limitations. For example, Tipalti collects all the tax documents and tax ID's for new vendors, but this stays in Tipalti and does not sync over to NetSuite. Their support team is pretty responsive, but you can only seek help via email, rather than a chat box. General pricing is reasonable, but not for Fx payments. This is a bit disappointing because Tipalti actually does a great job with the payments, but the cost to convert and pay in a foreign currency is prohibitive. For this we just end up sending payment through our bank. **Recommendations to others considering Tipalti:** Test in Sand Box. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** The approval workflow for invoices is a great solution. Much better than using native functionality within NetSuite. Paying vendors is much easier. **Official Response from Molly Crull:** > Hi! We appreciate your feedback! In terms of FX fees, our customers usually find that we are able to offer a more competitive rate than the banks. In our old system, we were able to attach this to the invoice in the processing step so the final approver (Accounting Manager) could see the blanket approval on file easily. In Tipalti, there is not an option to attach anything as backup to the invoice and there also isn't even a comments box where the AP processor could let the Accounting Manager know that there is a blanket approval on file. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Like I said above, we can now pay our 100+ international consultants (who all invoice separately) through Tipalti. Previously, we had to set up individual wires in our banking portal and between setting up these wires and approving them, it took our team almost an entire day. ### 16. Our suppliers email a PDF attachment to a dedicated email address; Tipalti scrapes the invoice into the app, Accounting reviews, codes, and forwards it to a manager for approval. As Controller, I have complete visibility to the AP process. The best part is that you do a one-click action to pay an invoice, and Tipalti takes care of it all. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** A year ago, it was impossible to figure out why an invoice didn't integrate into our ERP. You had to connect with Tipalti Customer Support to figure it out in the last couple of months. Tipalti has made improvements to process and the app provides more information to be able to self-help. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** No money leaves the business until an invoice is approved within Tipalti. I have an audit trail, history, and I even have some Managers look up their on AP invoices in Tipalti. My limited resources in Accounting aren't saddled with providing copies of invoices. Managers can see for themself. We converted to NetSuite over a year. We were on Tipalti on our old ERP. We didn't even bother to learn how to print checks through NetSuite......seriously I have no idea. ### 21. With multiple subsidiaries, we used to carry out a very manual approval process. Now with Tipalti, our processing time has but cut in half. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** The sync feature to Netsuite from Tipalti has caused some issues in our time using the platform. When approved and first syncs over, if we need to pull the invoice back for any reason to update, the updates don't sync back to Netsuite. The failure to sync Tipalti updates has caused many manual adjustments that shouldn't be necessary. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our AP process cross-entity has been expedited and organized into one home. It is easily set op even by someone how is not that into computers. I had some questions because i was hesitating, but their cleint service was really helpful and explained everything in little detail. From clients side they have told us that it is a great improvement looking at our previous payment system. It's also a global and a mass solution, and you can centralize payable operations in just one place, which is really helpful especially for times like these when people are working remotely even more. The website is great - it has a lot of information in it - and the support team is incredibly fast and helpful. Tipalti definitely works, and I have never had problems before. To be honest, I haven't been using Tipalti for that long and I don't know other options or products. But I'm satisfied with Tipalti so far for sure. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** So far, so good. I honestly haven't had any problems so far. Maybe add more information about fees on the website, but I believe that if we were to ask the support team or maybe the partnership team, we would get a satisfactory response from them. For example, if I search John Doe, but it's entered as JohnDoe, Tiplati returns no results. Interface - As a bill approver it's not possible to see the entire GL account field since it's cut off. Tipalti really needs to fix this 2. Reporting tool is confusing. Payments tab should also show the invoice details so payment approver can quickly scan through and know what they are approving 4. You can search for invoice by the invoice#, only by the reference code, which is something we have to look up beforehand 5. Once you process an invoice you can't change any information, not even when you're approver/manager.
