Ok but.... **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025 **What do you like best about Tipalti?** Approval process set up and flexibility of redirecting approval flows **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** Credit notes are not recognised correctly on OCR - Credit notes are not a negative invoice! Supplier invoice numbers not visible on payment screen- shows Tipalti reference only Any invoice changes once processed don't flow through well to Netsuite Very difficult when paying things outside of Tipalti wallet, direct debit for example. Tipalti will automatically post a payment on current date to Netsuite When a supplier payment is made that comprises of credit notes and invoices, this must be manually applied in Netsuite it does not allocate these OCR scan is not reliable when using different entities, it is very often wrong and needs manually changing OCR scan is unreliable when entering vat. It will often scan this as an expense line and then will try to add vat on top of vat!! **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time saving on processing invoices and approval process is robust ### 2. Customer Support needs to be more knowledgeable on product. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** None at the moment, we are helping Tipalti solve some of its issues ### 3. Onboard vendor, code invoice, request approvals, pay bill. One-stop shop. Convenient. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** I don't like how Tipalti doesn't sync up to Sage perfectly. The credit memo's always have a bill attachment error. The vendor tax information does not sync over. And then there are random sync errors that we take care of fairly regularly. Also, not a fan that there isn't a transparent audit trail. Approvers can change coding when approving and it won't detail the changes they have made within the Audit trail. This can be troublesome and cause confusion. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is solving organization and approval chain processes. And the convenience to pay invoices within the system once bills are approved. ### 4. Tipalti **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2021 **What do you like best about Tipalti?** The payment process seems to be working well. Much easier than doing a check run through NetSuite and submitting payments from our bank. The ability to specify which users should approve an invoice is also helpful. Other software we've tried structured approvals by department, but it's not always the same person in each department that manages the vendor, so having this flexibility has been nice. The vendor portal is great because it allows vendors to input their payment and tax information. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** It's still a relatively young company and their product has room for improvement. The website can be slow and glitchy at times, more often than I would like. Implementation and integration with NetSuite had a lot of challenges. We still get random "false positive" sync errors that have to be resolved. Integration with NetSuite is good but not great as it still has limitations. For example, Tipalti collects all the tax documents and tax ID's for new vendors, but this stays in Tipalti and does not sync over to NetSuite. Their support team is pretty responsive, but you can only seek help via email, rather than a chat box. General pricing is reasonable, but not for Fx payments. This is a bit disappointing because Tipalti actually does a great job with the payments, but the cost to convert and pay in a foreign currency is prohibitive. For this we just end up sending payment through our bank. **Recommendations to others considering Tipalti:** Test in Sand Box. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** The approval workflow for invoices is a great solution. Much better than using native functionality within NetSuite. Paying vendors is much easier. **Official Response from Molly Crull:** > Hi! We appreciate your feedback! In terms of FX fees, our customers usually find that we are able to offer a more competitive rate than the banks. For example, if I wish to see which client this payment is for, I would need to click into it or do a search for the client,. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tipalti solves the problem that we have diff options of payment form and we can pay internationally and nationally. **Official Response from Molly Crull:** > Thank you for sharing your feedback! It's been nearly impossible to do both implementations simultaneously because testing is much easier with live data. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are hoping to have 3-way match automation, which is still TBD. Support doesn't involve itself directly with payees. Causes a lot of overhead. **Recommendations to others considering Tipalti:** If you think your payees will need any help at all, remember that you'll be doing that support. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paying royalties to third parties. Easily seeing all tax information is helpful at the end of the year. **Official Response from Molly Crull:** > We appreciate you sharing this feedback!
