**What do you like best about TinyTake?**

1. Excellent screen capture tools 2. Light loading and optimal use of computing resources 3. Integrates well with google drive and online storage sites 4. Ease of management of files created with the option to put in notes for each (for back reference)

**What do you dislike about TinyTake?**

Image editing options are yet limited and could increase depth there

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it mainly for screen capture and it works well unfailingly

  ### 2. Good software but overpriced and heavily restricted

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Varsha K. | Application Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2021

**What do you like best about TinyTake?**

TinyTake is easy to use, and the UI of the software is pretty straightforward. You can seamlessly capture screenshots and video recordings of any application, window, region, or the entire screen. Your captures are made instantly without any delay, and they're always of excellent quality. It comes with a built-in editor using which you can annotate and highlight any part of your screenshot. Its image editor also extends to any image from your computer, which you can drag and drop into the TinyTake window to edit and annotate. Similar to image editing, you can also annotate videos. You can upload all your captured images and videos to the cloud and share the URL with anyone. In addition to screenshots and recordings, you can also upload any file by dragging and dropping them to the window and share them with the URL. Files that you upload in bulk are compressed into a zip folder which you or the user to whom you're sharing can extract and view the contents. Furthermore, you can use the online gallery to see your entire history of uploaded files, which you can view, delete, or share whenever you want.

**What do you dislike about TinyTake?**

TinyTake is quite expensive, and even when you pay for higher plans, you're still only getting minimal features with heavy restrictions. TinyTake lacks support for third-party hosting platforms. Unlike Snagit or most other screenshot software, you cannot upload images to Dropbox or Google Drive from within the TinyTake application. Instead, they have their cloud storage where you're getting spaces of 20GB, 200GB, and 1TB depending on the plan with no intuitiveness or collaboration support. Furthermore, the recording duration is also minimal. For the Standard plan, Plus plan, and Jumbo plan, you're getting 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes for video recording, respectively. Even for the highest-paid plan, 60 minutes feels very inadequate because it's not suitable when you're trying to record conferences and webinars without the video getting cut off.

Furthermore, all of these plans are yearly subscriptions. Other screenshot software such as Snagit only have a one-time fee for a lifetime purchase but offer r more features than TinyTake's highest plans. What makes Snagit unreliable as a software for long-term use is that you have to subscribe to the Jumbo plan to receive 24x7 email support. You don't get 24x7 email support in the Standard and Plus plans. It would help if you didn't have to pay more money for a software for which you're already paying to receive customer support.

**Recommendations to others considering TinyTake:**

I wouldn't recommend TinyTake as there are better alternatives that are cheaper and offer more features. However, you can still use it for free, but it is very limited and full of ads.

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used TinyTake as a screenshot and video recording software for many projects I've worked on before. I was pretty content with its simplicity and ease of use, which allowed me to finish my work while saving plenty of time. I needed to record some videos for presentations, and TinyTake helped me with high-quality clips that I was able to attach to the slides. While I didn't rely too much on the online gallery or cloud storage, the files that I uploaded were added to the cloud pretty quickly, and I was able to share them with my colleagues instantly and securely with the unique URLs.

  ### 3. TinyTake makes screen capturing easy AND fun

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy B. | Founder / Photographer / Photo Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2019

**What do you like best about TinyTake?**

I like how easy it is to capture image or video of your screen by using TinyTake and it's advanced features.

**What do you dislike about TinyTake?**

I wish there were a few more capabilities such as automatically uploading captured footage directly to various hosting sites.

**Recommendations to others considering TinyTake:**

I would say that if you are needing an app for video and image capture directly from your screen, this is a very good option and probably one of the best in the industry.

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving the ability to capture things on my screen to be able to demonstrate to clients and employees what they need to do.

  ### 4. TinyTake makes screen capture easy!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramnathan V. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2019

**What do you like best about TinyTake?**

It is very easy to take screenshots, or capture a video of your screen or any specific window using TinyTake. The user interface is very intuitive and easy to use. You can either save your captures locally in your computer or upload it on to the cloud server to share it with anyone. The registration and installation process is very fast and there's a free version for TinyTake if you're unsure of paying for it.

**What do you dislike about TinyTake?**

I use the free version of TinyTake and it has a lot of restrictions in recording duration, cloud storage space, and has ads. For instance, you cannot record a video for longer than 5 minutes unless you pay and this can be troublesome if you're trying to record longer videos. The only way around this is to record multiple short clips and then compile them into one.

As for the paid versions, you can choose from Standard for the price of $30, Plus for the price of $60, and Jumbo for the price of $100 per year. While you get up to 1 TB of storage space if you pay for the Jumbo version, you're still restricted to 60 minutes of recording time. For $100 a year, the fact that you don't even get unlimited recording limit makes that package not worth the price.

**Recommendations to others considering TinyTake:**

TinyTake is a very good screenshot software but the free version comes with some restrictions that you have to pay to bypass. I can certainly vouch for the quality of the software but if those restrictions of 5 minute duration for videos and 2GB for uploads are a problem to you, then you'll have to consider buying the Standard version or higher. Otherwise, there are probably better screenshot software available that are free.

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TinyTake to capture my screen in both image or video form when making presentations or short YouTube videos for my personal channel. I use TinyTake primarily for the free cloud storage space I get up to 2GB, which is more than plenty since I only upload screenshots, which occupy very little space.

  ### 5. Captures and records the screen with ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hazel B. | Office Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2019

**What do you like best about TinyTake?**

When getting started with TinyTake I was required to create an account which I did and the process was fast. With TinyTake I can capture only a part of my screen or the all of it depending on what I'm trying to capture. TinyTake is not only a screen capture tool but also an annotation tool, adding annotations to captures is easy, this normally helps in making my captures understandable to those I'm going to share them with.

**What do you dislike about TinyTake?**

The free version is very limited, it does not have annotations but with the premium version you get your money's worth.

**Recommendations to others considering TinyTake:**

TinyTake is an easy to use software that I'd recommend to anyone. It offers a free cloud storage, something you don't find with its competitors.

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TinyTake has given us a different way of engaging each other at work. It has helped in explaining things better to my colleagues, most of the time I'm able to create something that's self-explanatory so they don't have to keep referring back to me, it helps in maintaining a smooth work-flow.

  ### 6. Such POWER in a "tiny" package...

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryon S. | Technical Support Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about TinyTake?**

The flexibility of using the keyboard shortcuts to do a quick copy/paste job; or launch it right into an editor for annotation. Automatically saving to cloud (or local) storage based on account settings. I do not use the video capture as frequently as the screen capture, but it's super simple to use when needed. The number of features for FREE.

**What do you dislike about TinyTake?**

Default keyboard shortcut for the video capture easy to press when trying to forward emails via Outlook... "fat finger" is on my side though; not the software.

**Recommendations to others considering TinyTake:**

Take some time to learn all the keyboard shortcuts.

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Screen capture with annotation (boxes, arrows, text) allow me to quickly add visual queues to support tickets I am logging for our development team. The ability to quickly record a section of my monitor including mouse movement for more difficult to explain bugs/tasks greatly reduces questions.

  ### 7. Extremely lightweight, simple video recorder that does exactly what I need it for

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2019

**What do you like best about TinyTake?**

-Global Hotkey so that I can start quick recording any time
-Videos are saved in the cloud rather than only local copies
-Record both video and sound, for free, without any watermarking
-Easy URL creation so that I can attach videos to stories, or I can save local copies (which is what most editors do, but isn't ideal)

**What do you dislike about TinyTake?**

-The only complaint I can come up with is that 'Cntrl R' default hotkey for start/stop recording has thrown me for a loop a few times, being that I use this hotkey to refresh the browser I am recording without thinking about it (causing video to start and stop)

**Recommendations to others considering TinyTake:**

There isn't anything I was able to find on the market that I could use to capture quick, simple videos with less than a few seconds of overhead

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-Great for recapping problematic software issues with UI
-Also great for user training videos
-Meeting Recordings

**What do you like best about TinyTake?**

you can log in into your youtube account and view your videos, easy to drag your files from your pc and download, sharing your files is made easy as well.

download time sometimes lags don't know if its an issue with the software or my p.c

Try it might solve some file sharing issues and you can upload training videos with ease and share with co-workers

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 9. Very simple, free and reliable app!

It's a good application which is simple to use, provides good results and can be used for free.

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 10. TinyTake does a screen-capture Big Job

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Industrial Automation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2019

**What do you like best about TinyTake?**

It is very easy to use with multiple capture options including video, has cloud save capability as well as local, and they have a free version.

**What do you dislike about TinyTake?**

Its really funky to install on a secured, networked platform. And I would suggest the create an un-boxed text annotation capability - if you make the box stroke the same color as the box background, the text disappears since it uses the same stroke color. Skitch does this part better.

**Recommendations to others considering TinyTake:**

You may need to get IT involved in installation - I did. Also the free version will only take 5 minute video clips then automatically shuts off. If you need to take longer ones, the subscription is probably worthwhile.

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

capturing screens for commenting on web pages during development and update processes.

**What do you dislike about TinyTake?**

No dislikes this was very helpful and came in handy when trying to explain things to other associates

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2019

**What do you like best about TinyTake?**

I enjoyed using this to quickly record the software tool's I was selling. Was a easy way to give your prospect an inside look at the tool.

**What do you dislike about TinyTake?**

I used the free version, so it had some limitations.

**What problems is TinyTake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem was our visual PDF's of our tools were not enough for some prospects. Certain prospects of mine are more engaged with video. They would much rather watch a 1-2 minute video than read a sell sheet.
