"TinkerCad - a great introduction to 3D design"
5/5
What do you like best about Tinkercad?

I use Tinkercad to teach 3D design. I love that I can go in and see the student work to download and print. It is easy for them to follow and learn as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tinkercad?

It takes a while to get used to all the different ways to move the workplane around and can be hard at first for students. Once they figure it out, it is great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tinkered is a great into to 3D design"
4/5
What do you like best about Tinkercad?

Tinkedcad is very easy to use and has many prebuilt objects you can add to your design like spheres, cubes, cones etc. It's a good introduction to 3D design and uses the same constructs and thought processes to design that Fusion360 uses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tinkercad?

It can be simplistic, and it may not always do things in the way you want. You have to work within the constraints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"This program is by far the best into to CAD software on the market today."
5/5
What do you like best about Tinkercad?

It makes CAD accessible to anyone who played with lego's as a kid, even current kids. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tinkercad?

It is a little clunky. Sometimes you need to do certain things in a round-about way that is a little less intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easiest tool you can imagine"
5/5
What do you like best about Tinkercad?

Ease of use, flexibility, accessibility (available from the web browser), adjustable to a different level of users' expertise in CAD design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tinkercad?

1) Only Arduino Uno is supported

2) There is no way you can add custom components or import them from somewhere. Although, the basic set of electric components is enough for most of the projects.

3) It would be great to have a generator of the schematic circuit.

4) For the 3D editor, it would be great to add construction/assembly joints.

5) the size of the canvas is limited for 3D printers. Which means you won't be able to design a real size construction project for your home. But there are other software in the market that can do this task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple Design Program"
5/5
What do you like best about Tinkercad?

It's easy to import, modify, and export .STL models. It's also easy to create basic models from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tinkercad?

Very basic functionality, you can create simple models but nothing elaborate. There are also size restrictions on what you can import, which may be limiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great tool for those learning about 3D printing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tinkercad?

The basic tutorials help you get started quickly. I like the way that I'm able to hop from one computer to the next and see my latest designs immediately, since it is completely cloud based. The fact that you can log in from any browser means I have even been able to design while sitting on the train using my Android tablet... it's possible but preferable to use a mouse.

It's amazing what you can build up with simple blocks, I saw a design for a kids bicycle "exhaust", which I ended up designing from scratch and it works quite well (if only I could get my kids onto the bike!). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tinkercad?

After a while I became a little frustrated because I thought I'd found the limits of the software quite quickly, however, after finding some more training (on LinkedIn training) I was able become much more efficient and get further.

The "sculpting" side of things I still find difficult, this time I think it is down to software limitations.

There is a limit on the file size that you can import into TinkerCAD, this can be frustrating when you find exactly what you need but can't customise it because the file is too big. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tinkercad: great free tool to design 3D prints!"
5/5
What do you like best about Tinkercad?

This tool is fantastic! It's easy to use, has a lot of resources, stores your projects online, and it's totally free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tinkercad?

The only thing I dislike about that is that there isn't any offline version available. That means you need to be connected to the internet to use Tinkercad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

4/5
What do you like best about Tinkercad?

TinkerCad has a great library for plastics what have proven to be very useful for our product designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tinkercad?

The solution has limited out-of-the-box data for metals and other materials, forcing the user to implement these materials from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great CAD program!"
5/5
What do you like best about Tinkercad?

This program/app is so easy to use! Having used CAD programs in the past, this one was much more "simple" to understand and catch on to but still had advanced features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tinkercad?

I honestly haven't found anything that I disliked. Maybe there could be an easier way to share work and/or download a picture (like a screenshot) of the current work, but other than that, neither I nor my students had any strong dislikes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
