Creativity is needed to use the components in the right place since tinkercad can be too simple at times

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm creating prototypes for various things through 3D printing

  ### 2. The only platform to create 3d objects online

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** george m. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

It is great to be able to create almost any type of object quickly and easily, one of the main characteristics is the practicality of the entire Tinkercad interface, which is adapted to be understandable by anyone, making it an ideal environment for children and young people who want to venture into the world of 3D modeling. Another good aspect is that it has a large number of 3D objects by default, which help creators to greatly facilitate the work that is done.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

Being an online platform it becomes a huge disadvantage since it is limited to people who only have access to the internet, many years have passed and Tinkercad has not released an “Offline” version. Sometimes, due to an irregular Internet, the platform has some problems to access its interface, leaving the screen blank or simply giving an access error.

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

I recommend other users to use this software as a pillar to learn how to design in 3D, given its versatility and ease of use.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a teacher, I see this very useful and practical tool for educating young neophytes who are interested in learning how to design 3D objects from scratch. Many times I also use Tinkercad to quickly modify 3D designs that I find on the internet.

  ### 3. A good tool for beginners

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mauro L. | Associate Medical Publication Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

Thinkercad is easy to learn, and therefore can be a good way to introduce absolute beginners or kids to 3D modeling; but, even though it may seem simple, it can be used to create complex results.
In addition to the 3D modeling environment, it has other functions, like Circuits and Codeblocks.
It is widely used, with a worldwide enthusiasts community, and there are a lot of good video tutorials on the web that can help.
It is browser-based, so no local installation is required, and it is quite light and it does not require too many hardware resources to run. All your projects are saved on the cloud, thus your work can be resumed from other computers while using the same account.
Another plus, it is completely free to use!

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

Sometimes it may take a lot of steps to create a complex shape, thus resulting in frustration. Also, it would be great if you could customize the mouse command and the key shortcut, to make them similar to other 3D and CAD software.

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

I strongly suggest using Thinkercad If you would like to start with CAD and 3D modeling, as it is an excellent way to learn the basics.
Also, you just need an internet connection browser and a modest personal computer to use it since it is free and browser-based. Therefore it is an ideal tool for schools and teachers.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a good tool to create simple and base 3D models that can later be imported into more professional software like Blender or ZBrush.

  ### 4. It prooved to be really helpful and easy to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antriksh s. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

The best thing about tinker cad is that it's really easy to use, you can simply make an account and start exploring all the options and even you can upload your own projects so that you don't have to start from scratch.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

The one thing that i found to be challenging was th unavailability of different kind of sensors while making the circuit for my Arduino project. It has a lot of sensors but i guess not all of them. For example i couldn't found the soil moisture sensor.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I made a circuit for the project i was working on which proved to be really helpful while giving the presentation as it became really easy to explain all the components with the help of tinker cad.
Other than that i made a 3D model of a city block which was supposed to be the model of my project but due to the pandemic I had to go for the 3D model for the online presentation and guess what it was really easy to make and prooved to be really helpful.

  ### 6. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Libraries | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

The simplicity of the program with it's easy to use graphic interface. I would recommend Tinkercad to anyone who is new to 3D design. It is robust enough to do a great many projects with a small learning curve. Each year he program adds more useful features. Being an online program it takes very limited computer resources.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

It is a bit difficult to design very large 3D images. The same features that make the program easy to use for any beginner can make it difficult for anyone who is used to the more complex programs. Tools for design are limited in number compared to some of the other cad programs I have used. The area seems to have a maximum size that is far smaller than many downloadable programs.

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

Try the program out, it is free and easy to use.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Tinkercad to design decorations for 3D printing. I have also used the program to fix 3D objects people have wanted to print but have flaws in the design. With the program I have been able to make small gears and knobs to replace broken ones.

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

Tinkercad is software that only requires an Internet connection and a browser to operate. It is free, has a user-friendly interface, and requires very little learning time so that in a few hours you can have your first creations ready, which can be exported in STL format to print from a 3D printer. It is especially designed to be used even by children and those with little knowledge in this area, as it has never been presented as a professional application, but rather seeks simplicity and initiation into three-dimensional printing. It is completely free and it is possible to access a repository of files with creations from other users. If we wish, we can also share our designs there for everyone to see.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

As I have already mentioned, Tinkercad is too simple for a user looking for a more professional tool. It is impossible to obtain very complex designs. It should also be mentioned that it is necessary to have an Internet connection to use it, as well as to register beforehand with an email address.

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

TINKERCAD: AN ONLINE AND FREE 3D DESIGN AND PRINTING SOFTWARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED EVEN FOR THE YOUNGEST OR MOST NOVICE USERS.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Tinkercad, we have made figures to print in design workshops, such as keychains and plastic toys. It is free and highly appreciated by our clients on the days we have to develop these figures, thanks to how simple it is to handle from the control panel of the elegant user interface.

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

I love the ability to drag and drop basic shapes, import external shapes, and the intuitive interface

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

Sometimes it is over-simple, import options are limited in size, and any modifications beyond fairly basic shapes are tricky

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

Great for simple work or intro to basic CAD

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've made a lot of simple but functional parts and been able to create simple prototype incredibly quickly

  ### 35. Good

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

It’s more intuitive than SketchUp and easier to learn, which is a great advantage in educational contexts, as it is difficult to give up working hours to learn curves. Shapes can be stretched, reshaped, copied and pasted, grouped, and various shapes joined to create a new shape. A blank canvas is included as a shape generator that lets you create custom and unique shapes. Shapes can also be imported from designs created in other software or from URLs.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

It doesn’t work offline and There are limits to what you can design with this program however. Because this program uses geometric shapes, it can be difficult to get really creative because you can’t really draw freeform shapes to exactly what you want to draw. You have to understand how to do it within the provided forms and limitations of the software.

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

It is great. Try using it

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a 3D printer .It offers a set of tools and tutorials to help you explore and discover the process. It also provides step-by-step design process lessons to help newcomers acclimatize to the design process.

  ### 36. Review of program

I am able to teach my class on 3D design and printing effortlessly. My students have had not problem using it.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

Tinkercad is an excellent on both computers and tablets although it works best on a computer.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I let my students use it to design - it allows students of different ages to learn about CAD and engineering!

  ### 37. Tinkercad can be used in middle school to high school in education.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahuva M. | Art Department Chair, The Frisch School, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

I find that Tinkercad is so easy to use and adapt for education. I used it as a starting point for computer aided designing in my 9th grade art track classes, for jewelry design. We created 3D printed jewelry designs. The students had never worked on a computer for designing but were so excited about using the program that they worked on them in class and in school.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

I find understanding 3D space is very confusing for many. I think that it would be helpful for a beginners tutorial on understanding 3D space, x,y, and z axis. I like many of my students, got my pieces lost in space many times because I could not "understand" how to connect the spaces.

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

If you have a 3D printer, this is the program to start designing with!

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tinkercad enables my students to transform 2D drawings into 3D designs and 3D works of art.

  ### 38. Great 3D Modeling software

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

Tinkercad is easy to use and allows for fairly complex designs to be created.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

There are some advanced features that programs like Autodesk offer that Tinkercad does not.

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

Always use a computer mouse and not the touchpad on your computer - much easier with a mouse!!

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it myself and with students. Have created door stops, ornaments, organizers, gifts, etc.

  ### 39. tinkercad. your 3d pieces quickly and easily.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

Tinkercad is excellent. It is free, fun, elegant, intuitive, powerful, and versatile. It works online, from the browser, without installations, you just have to register, and soon you will be in front of an intuitive interface that will make things much easier for you when creating amazing pieces that you can export and print on your 3D printer. Additionally, you can share or access and download numerous models and examples created by other people who share them selflessly.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

The worst part is that by operating online, it can sometimes "freeze." The tools offered are too oriented towards the learning of a novice user, so the results will never be entirely professional. It is more of an educational tool, and within that scope, it more than fulfills its purpose.

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

Highly recommended, easy to use, powerful, versatile, and free. Additionally, it works in the cloud.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is used academically with the youngest students to learn how to design 3D pieces and models, which they then print on the 3D printer at the educational center where we teach our courses. Since Tinkercad is intuitive, it hardly presents a learning curve, allowing all types of inexperienced students to handle it with ease and professionalism in just a few minutes.

  ### 40. Very easy to use and perfect for beginners

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

limited in some cases for craration complicated models or rendering big models

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

If you want to explorer the 3D Worls, start with Tinkercad

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

first steps for model creating, easy and fast own modeling

  ### 41. Tinkercad

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pablo O. | Administrador Sistemas, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

The best thing about Tinkercad is that it works without requiring any installation on your computer, and all your projects are saved in the cloud, making it possible to make them public and accessible to other users. Tinkercad is a 3D graphics editor, with a very complete and intuitive control panel, and although it is clearly aimed at a young and less experienced audience, with skill and experience, amazing creations can be seen in the Tinkercad user community. Additionally, a Tinkercad project can be exported as a file to be printed on a plastic 3D printer easily and quickly. Tinkercad requires an email account to register but is free.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

It is missed that in addition to being made public, it could be possible to work collaboratively on the designs among several members of a work group. Another unfavorable aspect is that although the interface is very intuitive, it is not easy to get used to it from the beginning; it requires some time to get accustomed, although in general, the learning curve is not very steep, in about an hour one gets used to the design tool panel. With this, I mean that although the youngest can use it, it should be emphasized that they will need patience. As I mentioned before, Tinkercad falls short for someone looking for a professional 3D design tool. Therefore, I have nothing bad to say about Tinkercad.

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

Highly recommended to encourage the little ones to get into 3D modeling and plastic printing of their own creations. Plus, it's free.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is used with the younger students so that they learn to design their own projects and then print them on a 3D printer. Dolls, little houses, and keychains have been made in plastic in multiple shapes and colors.

  ### 42. Tinkercad should be the first choice to whom start learning 3D design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oral T. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

Tinkercad is a fantastic tool to learn 3d design. You could create 3d models, Arduino projects and much more in Tinercad. Tinkercad is a free platform for all aspects of learners of 3d. There is a teacher module in Tinkercad. From there, you could establish classes, invite students. Electronics and coding sections aim to STEM education. You could design lithophanes, business cards, nameplates, Minecraft objects, lego parts etc. without any hustle with this evolving tool.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

You could design relatively low poly objects in Tinkercad. The designed object's total surface triangles can't exceed allowance value. The same thing applies when importing files to the system.

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

I recommend for everybody who wants to start learning 3d design. Tinkercad is a kind of jewellery for the education system.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for designing simple 3d parts. Tinkercad is very useful and handy, in the case of designing simple shaped objects.

  ### 43. Use with students as young as 1st grade!

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

I work in an elementary school and use Tinkercad with 1st-5th graders. I love how it reinforces geometric and measurement concepts while making 3D design accessible. Students enjoy the bright colors and easy to use interface.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

The object generators are hard to navigate as there's no search tool and you have to browse through pages of items.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing 3D printing to young students.

  ### 44. Tinkercad and 3D printing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Veronica P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

Tinkercad has the following advantages:
- There's no need to install anything, just register and use it online with your preferred browser.
- It's free.
- It has a very user-friendly, intuitive, modern interface that is easy to use even for children, allowing you to create complex models of figures in a short time.
- Easy to export in STL file format to use with your 3D printer model.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

- It consumes a lot of resources, if you don't have a relatively powerful computer it can run very slowly and your browser may crash when working on modeling your figures or pieces.
- It requires an internet connection with high bandwidth, or we will have performance issues.
- It is designed to make eye-catching but simple figures, if you want to create something more complex it won't be useful.
- It includes a somewhat limited library of basic shapes that we all hope will expand over time.

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

If you have a printer and want to create your first models easily, fun, and without spending a dollar, register on the Tinkercad website and try it.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has allowed us to start teaching and learning with teenage students and they have loved it. We have made very original dolls to sell. We have made protective gear for skates and bicycles. We have made plastic keychains. And since the program is completely free, we have had fun making them and it hasn't required any investment, but rather generated income with the small custom parts market created.

Connection to students and their motivation and enthusiasm

  ### 47. Great software for learning CAD

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

Tinkercad is a simple, easy to use and easy to understand design software that is easy enough to understand that anyone can use it and understand the basics of CAD. One of the best features about it as well is the ability to switch between orthographic and isometric viewing easily to get a better idea of what you are doing.

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

Since it is a simplified CAD program, it is much more difficult to make complex shapes on there than on something like Inventor or Solidworks. Molding functions, screws, and 2-D planes are not included, so it is not ideal for custom shapes and designs.

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From an educator point of view, it is an easy way to teach others the basics of CAD, and getting others to start creating designs with it. For students who have never touched a design software before, it is a great introductory step.

  ### 48. Great program to start learning 3D design

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cipriano P. | Diseñador gráfico, Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Tinkercad?**

The interface is really easy to use allowing the user to do a huge range of posibilities without any effort. The program is quite simple, you just need a few days to get used to tinkercad. It provides STL files which can work with a 3D printing slicer program. The tutorial is really good to get started in tinkercad

**What do you dislike about Tinkercad?**

In complicated design it is a bad program, you won't be able to use the program as you expect. Also the server sometimes doesn't work at all and this means that you won't be able to work until it gets fixed. More shapes could help the user to make more designs

**Recommendations to others considering Tinkercad:**

It is a free program, so i recommend you to try it at least. If you are doing complicated designs, maybe it is not the best option

**What problems is Tinkercad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple design related to basic thinks, allowing us to print them easily
