Customer Support, example stories and good templates to start with. Tines has been instrumental in solving security problems and creating solutions with existing tools using their API. Customer support wend needed is top tier!

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

AI features could use more polishing. Similar prompts then to return inconsistent results. More options to run Stories on a schedule.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines has addressed vulnerability management, Idententiy Management, two-factor authentication, Zendesk sanitization and more.

  ### 2. I recommend to Everyone

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Tines?**

I like the api call functionality. I use it as middleware between dissparite systems.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Short on documentation. Many of the functions are not well documented, or are not documented at all.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can do data modelling and custom reporting, without needing specialty software.

  ### 3. Workflow automation made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines is the best automation tool I've used. I like the user-friendly UI and features like Send to Story, Records and Pages.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

I wish the Pages feature offered more robust capabilities to allow users create a bit more complex apps.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines is helping us orchestrate data exchange between various internal services. Tines helped us eliminate a number of manual work streams such as copying and pasting data in and from Google Sheets, manage Salesforce and Jira cases, manage comms via Slack and run ETL data into and from Snowflake.

  ### 4. Awesome tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 🥷 Mauro L. | Senior Security Engineer, Security Operations (SecOps), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Tines?**

This tool has been a game-changer for us. It’s streamlined our workflow by automating many of our manual processes, saving us time and reducing errors. The user-friendly interface made it easy for our team to adapt quickly. Overall, it's significantly boosted our productivity and allowed us to focus on more strategic tasks. Highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Nothing yet but by default we need change control

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a very powerful tool, but sometimes the UI is not very easy to use and has some bugs.

  ### 5. Tines for Cyber Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Tines?**

The thing I like most about Tines compared to other automation products I have used in the past is that is so easy to use! It has a simple drag and drop interface and the UI is intuitive to use. I've found that their customer support is very responsive when I needed to contact them for a question on a workflow integration I was experiencing. They were able to resolve this very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Nothing that I can think of at the moment!

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping secuirty become an enabler to the business by ensuring that data gets to the right systems or people that need to make decisions quickly. From an automation perspective it is providing efficiencies and reducing time spent responding to alerts or incidents which means people can focus on what really matters.

In a nutshell it simplifies operations, reduces mean time to respond (MTTR) and frees up valuable time for analysts to focus on the real issues.

  ### 6. Streamlined GRC Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines has transformed our approach to InfoSec GRC automation. Its intuitive interface and powerful integrations have allowed us to automate repetitive GRC tasks, especially with evidence collection for both internal and external audits & assessments. This tool plays a crucial role in achieving our GRC engineering goals, making it an invaluable resource in enhancing our overall security and governance processes.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

I'd love to see more templates available for GRC use cases (especially evidence collection from various tools, and other integrated GRC platforms besides Drata, such as LogicGate).

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating evidence collection from various tools, automated compliance mappings using AI

  ### 7. Saves us hours!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Tines?**

For me personally, the UI and design of Tines makes it very simple and quick for me to learn. Also having the close relationship with Paula and Ian means any questions are promptly sorted.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Any thing that could possibly be automated, we try to, even booking desks!

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot with Tenable automation - saving us huge amounts of manual hours from manually submitting tickets, also keeping us up to date with vulnerabilitys and exploits via automations with CISA etc

  ### 8. Tines revies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vijay K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Overall It's very good , What I liked the most about it is that even If I have not good at coding, I can still complete my tasks very easily and Tines have so many templet for simply we can use that is very usefull as for me.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

As for me I am not found anything, but ya I am noticed that some Doucmention are not properly. Like In python scripting Toolkit documentation I am facing some problem.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines is primarily used for automation, such as Incident Response Acceleration, Reduction of alert fatigue, Cross-team collaboration, Efficient phishing response, etc. It was very helpful for me. I had to extract some logs from Sumo Logic and CrowdStrike, send them to VirusTotal to check whether the data I extracted is malicious or not. To perform this task, I created a Tines story, and it was very helpful for me

  ### 9. Promises continuing to be kept

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prasanth K. | software engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Tines?**

After a couple of years of usage these are what I like about Tines:
1. The team's obsession with the customers requirements
2. Still a clean and clear interface
3. Tons of pre-built automations for common use cases like slack notifications and such
4. The teams quick response times

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

We ran into some performance issues when our events size was high but we bumped up the number of workers and everything worked seamessly.

**Recommendations to others considering Tines:**

Their SaaS offering is cheaper and easy to use. But if you must have on-prem due to compliance reasons or such, use a terraform module or IaC tool to manage the configuration as the on-prem setup can be quite complex to maintain. But nothing too complicated but the general app layer + database layers and scaling them independently.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Security Automation for incident response
- Ticketing and operationalization of the incident repsonse life cycle

  ### 10. Working with tines

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Horia T. | Python Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Being productive and aware of what's happening within my team is crucial for me as a Security Developer. Before, I would find myself doing the same set of tasks every day, which not only reduced my productivity but also required a large amount of time to finish. Here's where tines come in quite handy. You may create almost any system to assist you in automating any process you can think of with just 7 basic actions. The creation of a story to automate a task in one's or their team's workflow would be incredibly simple and natural, even for someone with practically no experience with coding. In my day-to-day job, if I'm working on an automation and get stuck anywhere, I use their customer support service without hesitation. To be honest, I've never met another team that responds so promptly and sticks with you until your situation is resolved.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

In my time using tines I didn't encounter any aspects that I do not like or find unhelpfull.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines increases productivity across the board and lets us concentrate on more important things than repeating tasks.

  ### 11. Easy implementation and rapid deployment for anything with a public API

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis C. | Security Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines has a tremendous value of templates and community support with a generous number of stories and run iterations for free. This allows valueable test and tune time to fully evaluate the capabilities. The enterprise edition has an equivalent "on premise" broker in the form of a container and there's an SDK

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

I think Tines could provide some SMB list pricing in packages that can be purchased online along with perhaps the ability to more easily easily access documentation about the SDK and any "on premise" compute capabilities. It also does not have much runtime time out limits are a little low. Maybe this could change in the future where there's more customization of how you would like to utilize compute managed by them

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to utilize enrichment and response needs for external facing API's that need data processing in different action flows. Soon I hope to create data focused and insider threat based use cases with it

  ### 12. Streamlined Automation and Efficient Incident Response with Tines

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jitendra B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface for creating automation workflows. Even team members with limited coding experience can design powerful automation sequences, which is a significant plus for our cross-functional teams.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Tines, while user-friendly, can have a learning curve, especially for users who are new to automation and orchestration tools. Creating complex automation workflows may require some time and training to fully master.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines helps us automate and streamline our incident response processes. Instead of manually handling each alert and incident, we've automated repetitive tasks, allowing our security team to focus on more complex and critical tasks. This has significantly reduced response times to security incidents, helping us mitigate threats faster. Also, tines provide rich contextual information for each incident, pulling data from various sources. This feature has been invaluable in helping our analysts quickly assess the severity and impact of an incident, allowing for more informed decision-making.

  ### 13. Jira issues - get/post/create/email csv based on JQL

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Excellent/simplified visualization of workflow automation end-to-end. Embedded access to Tines help (prod docs) & technical support (24/7). Repo of examples Tines stories (story library). Easy to get started, though it hides complexity Tines can quickly go into to (e.g., formulas, pagnition, etc.). Product features are documented well. Integration is good. Frequency of use is good - with simplified access/coding integration (e.g., templates, user library, creds, resources, etc.). Customer support is excellent - prod docs, and technical support reps (24/7). Ease of implementation is narrated good - from novice, intermediate to advanced guidance available in prod docs.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Availability of a Troubleshooting FAQs community/blog of shared common Tines configuration errors based on past implementation usecases of users.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data integration/connections between disparate issues management platforms (e.g., Jira, Snow, Wiz, Tenable, etc.), and automation logic required to transform payload for desired outputs.

  ### 14. Incredible SOAR and Company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

The SOAR itself is incredibly easy to use. The logic based nature and the look of the UI makes it a breeze. It's so easy to setup and just go and it has become my full time role as the improvements to SOC efficiency has been noticeably measurable. On top of this, the sheer amount if templates in tines is mind-blowing.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

The only downsides we have found is that we are finding a few bugs here and there as quite a large user, however, the tines team have managed to fix all of our issues and bugs within 24-48 hours.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SOC first line response is now mostly done via smart automation in tines. This has dramatically freed up resource that used to spend time combing through copious amounts of false positives.

  ### 15. Tines is a game changer for every fast-paced company

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines really helps speed up all the processes that have clear steps by implementing automations. Also, having the chance to also work with external APIs is of huge importance as multiple feeds can help enrich the process a lot. Also, customer support seems to be very responsive.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Sometimes having to implement flows with loops may be a bit complicated and there should be more mechanism that should adress the methods that should interact with those loops.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We automate multiple processes which in the past took a lot of time and human effort. Also we enrich those processes with external information. Also, the connectivity with other applications is really amazing and the fact that the application also has that templates is of great use.

  ### 16. It make life easier, I really like it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitra J. | Security engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines is incredibly easy to use. It makes the perfect experience.
Tines helps us deal with false-positive alerts. In addition, it also helps us to eliminate the repeat processes when responding to alerts. This not only saves time but also helps to reduce the risk of errors or mistakes that can occur when tasks are done manually.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

There is nothing about it that I dislike

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves time.
It does the boring part of the investigation for each alert and sends us enriched information.
It automates many workflow and reduces the possibility of making mistakes while doing manual work.

  ### 17. Fantastically powerful, yet easy to access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

This feels like a platform that is going places. The team are easy to speak to, happy to help you understand and learn how to automate workflows, and the tool itself is very powerful.

It has been about a day of effort to go from signing up to automating webhooks and complex API calls. Now Ive got the basics, I think theres an infinite pool of things I can automate!

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

I'd love more pre-written Stories! The team are adding new Stories every day, so its great to see they are working on this.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines is automating deduplicating, manual handling, and repetitive tasks at scale. I love it.

  ### 18. Great tool to automate daily workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishav S. | Security Operation Engineer, Security and Investigations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

The best thing is that we do not need to program for automating anything, We can just pull things we require and make a workflow to ease our daily work, Loved it.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

There is not much to dislike about it, But I still sometimes find it difficult to implement some workflows I need, But for that tines help team is always helpful.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best thing that has been solved for me using tines is automating the daily phishing spam reports, Tines really help in segregating what is relly important to focus on.

  ### 19. Excellent Automation Platform - Intelligent and Accessible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naveen S. | Cyber SOC Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines is major part of our stregic automation journey. The product has made use of low code more easier and with which tasks can be delivered with minimum to no training required.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

I love the prouct and am still to find reasons to dislike it.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are MSSP and part of our vision is to assist Small business who needs cybersecurity solutions but their budgets does not allow it to be on their priority list. This is primary due to high cost of teh solutions. Automating service with Tines helps us bring down the costs, specially human analysts, making the services accessible to such clients.

  ### 20. Best platform of the kind I've used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

- excellent availability
- visualizer makes it easy to understand stories
- very powerful
- super flexible - haven't found anything it can't do yet

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

- UI needs a bit of polishing, but nothing game-breaking
- Learning curve can be a bit steep, but support is top-notch so solutions are easy to find

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've migrated to Tines from a hybrid model that used Okta Workflows and Workato.

Tines is by far the more powerful of the platforms, and it has allowed us to have all our automations in a single location. We struggled with platform limitations and availability for Workflows and Workato, but so far we have not reached the limit of what Tines can do.

  ### 21. Tines will help you to optimise automation workflows!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Its a production-ready platform where you can build automation and go live without complex pipelines. You can visualise your workflow, engineer to your desired degree of granularity, and quickly enable, suspend, or re-route automation actions.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

The biggest hurdle to overcome was the shift in mindset from writing code as text in an IDE to using the GUI and connecting blocks of logic together.
Once this is accomplished though, the process becomes very efficient.
While on this learning curve I wondered if it would be possible to make a code based, textural interpretation of a story workflow so that the programmer might more easily understand what is happening.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines helps to solve how we design automation and also how we are running these processes in production.
I find that I can build quicker in Tines and do not have to worry about pipelines and hosting infrastructure once the automation is built. I just publish the story.

  ### 22. Something Phishy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronan M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Easy to use and some prebuilt commands for some tools. Tines has been used to automate much of our reported phishing investigations. It provides all the analysis at our finger tips without the heavy lifting

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

I would like to see more examples to explain the full capabilities of some actions

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing repetitive tasks

  ### 23. Tines saved me so much time and energy!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexa S. | Business Operations Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

I mean, right off the bat, Tines is a powerful workflow automation tool. Not only that, it's well-documented too; an intrepid Tines user would be rewarded if they sought to find out answers to their questions on their own. Their internal team is also quite knowledgable about the product and eager to help; I enjoyed working with them immensely.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Honestly, while the product is advertised as a "no code" platform, I found it to be more of a "low code" environment. I'm not a developer, so I did find that some experience with computer logic and reasoning, as well as with cURL and Python would help immensely

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I primarily use the product for automation with regards to our onboarding and offboarding process for employees-- being able to create Stories in Tines to automate some of the otherwise manual tasks associated with hiring a new employee is saving us tons of time-- I'm talking hours reduced to minutes.

Other members of our organization are using Tines to automate some security-related tasks as well, to great success!

  ### 24. Fast and Convenient

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

The UI is clean and intuitive, and the workflow is really nice - it's very easy to test things out and debug sections of your story, since everything has clear detailed logs, as opposed to having to write many print or log statements yousrelf.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

The standard library of functions is not quite complete, so sometimes I'll find myself wanting to do something that would be very hard in Tines itself. I know they are working on adding code execution to Tines, which would greatly help this, but without being able to import libraries it might not be as useful.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines is helping me automate syncing issues between a wide variety of technologies very quickly, in a way that's also easy to share and understand by colleagues.

  ### 25. Advanced platform with flexible options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Having used other, similar open-source solutions in the past, the completness of Tines is great; especially if you set it off against the usability. With many products you get one or the other, but not both. Tines strikes a great balance between the two.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

There are some minor improvements I would like to see, such as being able to disconnect the name of an action and the output it produces. This would allow me to put a descriptive name on the action whilst not resulting in an output with a very long prefix/name.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Security automation.

  ### 26. Powerful No-Code Automations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

The way Tines has been designed is super thoughtful and very focused on end-user experience. For once, a platform with great docs.

The way you can scope credentials to specific projects is super helpful when multiple teams are using the platform.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

There's a bit of a steep learning curve and not as many built in functions as other platforms. But once you overcome that, it's really great.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an IT org we have a lot of problems we need to solve, at speed. With a no-code platform like Tines, we're not writing difficult to maintain scripts or maintaining infra on top of that to run those scripts.

  ### 27. Simplify and accelerate your automation workflow with Tines!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines allows our security team to automate workflows with minimal code, reducing our need to compete with other departments for developer resources and reducing the employee footprint with access to security secrets.

Tines' interface is straightforward, given the extensive feature set of the tool. Once built, engineers allergic to code can reverse engineer rather complex workflows with relative ease - it self-documents. The way the UI is set up invites users to collaborate and learn together.

Their staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable when going through support calls, allowing us to cover a lot of ground per session.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

One of the downsides of tools as flexible as Tines is that there are a lot of features. The complexity of the workflows makes it a bit harder to gain traction without dedicating IC's time to master the product.

I also want to be a bit careful with the idea of Tines being "No-code." This is true for users attempting to understand or extend upon complex workflows, but the foundation of workflows built with Tines would still benefit from an engineer with some computer engineering background.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines allows our security team to automate workflows with minimal code, reducing our need to compete with other departments for developer resources and reducing the employee footprint with access to security secrets.

  ### 28. New to Tines, wish would've found it sooner.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines is super easy to learn and use, making it a great addition to our environment. The ease of use has enabled us to build out numerous stories in short order and maintain velocity in our fast-paced environment. The amount of time we've saved through Tines has been a huge force multiplier.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

There have been several features or bugs that we've encountered that have slowed down development but our account team has always been very response in our joint slack channel. We've also had a few issues with lack of advance notice of maintenance windows but again, once we notified our account time of needing more notice they were able to rectify the issue for us.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The flexibility and extensibility of what services Tines integrates with has allowed us to scale up and out our automation portfolio quickly and efficiently. We get more consistent results; the stories have low ongoing maintenance requirements; and there's a significant reduction in development time for new stories.

  ### 29. Flexible & Scalable for Any Use Case

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julie Agnes S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines can be used by engineers with low comfort coding and engineers who love to build complex systems. There's flexibility to how you approach your own "no code" setup. This allows it to be approachable by security engineers but also folks in other departments. Tines also continues to push out features asked for by customers in record time. Any feature that you need, they'll consider building (not just putting on a roadmap for two years from now).

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Tines did not have all the features that I initially wanted when onboarding but since that point they've seriously upped their feature list.
Another downside is there isn't a way to complete code reviews for design similar to how PRs work within Github. This can lead to sloppy or confusing story development.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines is solving our need for a security automation tool but outside of that we've built more complex engineering workflows to replace running scripts in a Lambda for processing of data / alerts / etc.

  ### 30. Tines Automation Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felipe D. | Cyber Security Associate , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines has some elegant features and actions that can be implemented when creating a story that can tackle desired tasks. Although there are preset actions, the ability to customize these actions and make them enrich and extract data allows for the best utilization and implementation of the tool.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

The GUI is a bit cluttered and the documentation does not always get updated. An example is some of the samples stories in their library that does not contain updated API endpoint which at times change in versions. Due to the program language it utilizes "json" format, it becomes difficult to implement some basic programming features such as break points. An example is having a for loop search an array for a value that is not know. Sometimes you just want the one value and to stop looping, due to the lack of feature it continues to loop and at times gives you extra work as you then need to clean the output up to solely include the value you originally wanted.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines has assisted us in giving our Alert Triaging and automated methodology to an extend. We utilize it highly to enrich our alerts and output custom cards with detailed information giving our first responders desired information to quickly assess and determine the impact of said incident/alert.

  ### 31. Complex automation made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlie C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Our security team has always dreamed of automating repetitive tasks and hoped one day we could automatically cross-pollinate data points between tools to enrich our investigation process. Tines has helped us achieve these goals and exceed our expectations. The Tines team ensures you are well-trained and self-sufficient on the platform and before you know it, you're using the brilliant GUI to draw up complex processes that link your APIs together and automate just about anything you can think of. If you ever get stuck, have a question, or want a new feature the team is always receptive and helpful. We have never seen a support system quite like it from any other vendor. We have looked at the other SOAR brands and even tried them out, and nothing comes anywhere near Tines for ease of use, features, and just intuitive human-friendly design.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Tines is probably the only tool I have ever used that I can't think of a single major complaint about, and it's not through lack of trying, I use the tool every single day and have built handfuls of fairly complex stories. Although I was not close to the procurement process I think the tool is expensive and I do wonder how smaller businesses might afford it but you get what you pay for.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines allows us to completely automate repetitive IT and Cyber security workflows which save analysts tens of hours per week. We have deployed automatic triage of certain support tickets, security alerts, and phishing reports.

  ### 32. Tines Newbie, but so far I'm loving it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Ease of use. Going through the partner training was especially useful, learning how to pull in actions, define datapaths, and run events to test - all very simple! I enjoyed seeing the help text when determining datapaths, too; extremely helpful. The training videos Yani made are fantastic!

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

In surveys, sometimes it is acceptable to write "not applicable," which, in this case, is true. Since I am brand new training on Tines, and automation platforms as a whole, I do not have a critique at this time.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am training for the partner cert to expand my automation platform skillsets. I understand there will be future automation requirements in projects in which Tines will benefit my organization greatly.

  ### 33. Simpler but more flexible than the rest of the market

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Non-engineers who've struggled to use other automation platforms have been able to pick up Tines easily. The dev/support team have been quick to answer questions and even make fixes/changes where we've asked for it.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Some of the features don't seem fully fleshed out yet, but this is quickly changing.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines is replacing our existing SOAR platform (XSOAR from Palo Alto), enriching or resolving raised alerts.

  ### 34. Well configured Tines stories are a HUGE time saver and lets me focus on service improvements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam M. | Communications Technician (IT Risk & Compliance Consultant), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

In the beginning, I thought Tines was simply a no-code automation tool. However, as time goes by and I have become more familiar with the capabilities of Actions and Functions (and how they can be used together), the whole platform is a game-changer for performing repeatable work with structured and regex-extractable inputs.

At present, my most productive Tines story is saving me considerable time in performing data analysis, decision calculation and application of preprogrammed actions... the daily time saving from my most productive Tines story is in the order of 12-14 days of effort saved per day!

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Once you start getting into really advanced applications of Functions (like I experienced with LAMBDA) the level of complexity can become a little overwhelming.
Fortunately, the Tines team is extremely responsive on their Slack channels and usually come back to me with an answer in the space of a day.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines is helping me with the conduct of Vulnerability Assessment, Risk Calculation and execution of Predefined actions at a scale that would not be possible to do manually.

  ### 35. Tines

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines was created in a way that allows you to bring extensive automation capability to nuanced parts of any Enterprise business. Since the implementation of Tines, we have been able to collect Events from all sorts of platforms and bring them into one central engine for Analysis and Triage. Tines comes out of the box with 100s of integrations and templates that have worked perfectly. If we ever ran into issues, we have always been able to rely on their Support Team.

The best part is if you don't believe any of this - you can simply get a Community Tenant for free with 3 Storys and have your own workflows setup within a day and see for yourself!

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

As you become an advanced user of Tines every now and then, you notice a Quality of Life improvement or other feature that you wish you had. However, I have seen 100s of Quality of Life features released since using Tines. The Product Team at Tines loves new feature requests and they always make sure they get done. So although you might not have the feature now; you will soon in my experience.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using Tines for awhile. At this point, Tines has "forked" into so many parts of our Enterprise. Currently, a few use cases are SOAR/Alert Management, user on/offboarding, automating our audits and access reviews, form/pages for various internal requests.

  ### 36. easy automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Quick to develop, easy to understand and share automations.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

There could be even more templates for common intergrations.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplify automation without the hassle of complex APIs or Python scripting.

  ### 37. Versatile automation platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Florian B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Playbooks layout is a great design choice for automation usecases. I love that I can browse existing automations and get inspired by them or even just import them. What's ultimately great is that Tines focusses on small but core set of automation building blocks that will help achieve most autmation usecases. Another reason for us to go with Tines was that we could try it in the community version first without having to talk with sales people.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

It does have a bit of a learning curve and not all automation scenarios are immediatly clearly layed out in how they can be achieved especially when dealing with legacy infrastructure.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solve various automation use-cases for us in the IAM space but also CSPM and endpoint security area. It's also a great fit for vulnerability assessment and remediation needs.

  ### 38. Creating any type of automation I can imagine to ease my daily work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

It is complex but once it gets going, I can create automations that make my teams lives easier.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

I did manage to find multiple bug, they were reported and worked on surpizingly fast.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It automates tasks that would take me 20 minutes per task, Automation is a blessing in my line of work.

  ### 39. Tines is a great product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piotr W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

The product is really simple to use, the core certification provides you with a nice overview of the product. There are a lot of premade templates to use so there is no need to reinvent the wheel in a lot of the cases. Great tool for automation and with some time can be picked up by anyone even without previous automation experience.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

At present I can't say there is anything I dislike about the product but if I had to chose something then I would say only 3 labs being available for self learning, hope they will add more labs in the future!

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tines platform allows us to save time by automating daily/weekly/monthly repetetive tasks such as generating reports, tasks can be scheduled so there is no need to run them manually.

  ### 40. So simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines is incredibly easy to pickup, and something that is a joy to use. Setup is incredibly easy, as it's provisioned as SaaS. It is my go-to choice when talking about SOAR. As it stands, support (particularly from the training team) has been exceptional. I look forward to spending more with the platform.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

I do not have anything to dislike about Tines.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines is helping to automate workflows within my SOC customers.

  ### 41. Tines provide easy automation with pain free coding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mudit S. | Security Delivery Team Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines is an easy tool with built-in templates that helps us create stories with little coding. It provides easy and simplified automation. It also enables SOC team to utilize SOAR capabilities without any depth knowledge on APIs. Ability to reuse parts of playbooks and share with other teams. The best part of Tines is that it integrates into any service that has an API.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Nothing much to dislike for now. But for the complex automation part, we need to add some variables within the code part.In case if you have no idea for coding, it will create little confusion, but there are action templates that will help out to figure things.3 labs are available for free, I hope more labs will be added to get some more clarity on the tool.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines is an easy-to-use platform for creating SOAR workflows.es automation very fast without any coding. It helps to build any logic or stories in a shorter period using action templates. It's suitable for SOC and also reduces the time for response.

  ### 42. Great task automation tool!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hritesh Sharad S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

The UI is intuitive, and helps integrate apps seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Nothing as of now, but an updated vidoe tutorial might help as the UI has somewhat changed.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

integrating alerts from different platforms!

  ### 43. Great platform for visualizing and developing automations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

The onboarding/technical team is fantastic. We brought them several difficult cases, and they were able to help us figure out our use cases and create needed automations.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Depending on the application, you still have to have a relatively deep understanding of APIs, authentication mechanisims, and the way Tines uniquely interacts with them in order to build your own automations or edit current Stories.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recurring admin tasks with a number of our appications that disrupt our project and operational workflow. Allows us to concentrate on more technical problems without having to worry about common recurring user issues.

  ### 44. Tines made automating an intricate workflow so much easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

The platform is easy to use, there's already a ton of pre-built templates to choose from that addressed our automation needs, and customer support is incredibly helpful and easy to work with!

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Would love to see a Tines knowledge base for troubleshooting tips based on other user's experiences.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating responses in our support channel and saving us time from manually responding to support requests

  ### 45. Super simple, intuitive, and fast.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Tines abstracts away a great deal of nitty-gritty details I would otherwise have to figure out how to code in, especially for HTTP Requests. It's also super cool that you can interact with a Tines story in real-time, allowing easy debugging and the ability to automate things like Form inputs -> any Action.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

Learning how to work through some of the iterative actions features/functions can take a while to get used to, and in terms of Tines v. scripting in some programming language, sometimes it takes a bit of engineering to get the correct logic working in Tines.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines solves the problem of me having to think hard about what variables to provide HTTP requests. It also solves the issue of using shared credentials without credential exposure; its ability to hide credential values and making it easy to revoke them/restrict them to use across a specific domain is absolutely great in terms of security.

  ### 46. Tines Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

It is a very easy-to-learn tool with lots of functionalities. I found it quite helpful to automate our daily operational tasks. The Team is also prompted to help in creating the stories.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

It is currently in the initial phase, so study material is unavailable on the Internet. However, Tines has a very brief self-assessment kind of boot camp, which is quite informative. And they also provide help through the chatbot.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us automate security-related tasks related to SOAR, but all over, it has automated the task and has improved results and reduced 100% of manual work.

  ### 47. Best automation toolset i have used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

I am just starting to use Tines, but so far impressed with easy of use and flexibility that it gives. I like the built-in story library and templates, just drag and drop and chage to your prupose. I also like the tines university as well to self pace learning.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

With products that are not done in template/story the learning curve is same as other platforms, seems back to coding. It might be i have not learned enough as of yet.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speeding up and simplifing business operations in security and Networking. Basicly automaticing anything that is done more than once.

  ### 48. Smooth and exciting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmine R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

We are able to create easy automation that is customizable to our business. It's easy to learn, the tool itself is great and we can save a lot of time on things we don't want to do manually! Excited to see the tool grow as well

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

I think the documentation was clear, however, it needs more of an update in my opinion. I think it would be way more helpful if directions or possibilities were more clear to follow. It just takes up more time to figure something out sometimes because of this but outside of that - I'm very happy with it!

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tines would be used for our whole security org which I think is fantastic because it would be a hub for us all to achieve the same thing. It will be benefiting the team I am in for reminders. less manual work so that we can focus on other key areas for our business

  ### 49. Powerful and Scalable Platform for security process automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua B. | Sr. Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

Easy to automate processes you use daily to increase productivity and remove repetitive tasks for your team. A force multiplier for your team by allowing you to automate quickly and has the added benefit of making you think about everything you do and if what you are doing is a candidate for automation.

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

No downsides. As a former engineer using one of the well-known automation platforms in this space, I found Tines intuitive and easy to use.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform allows us to take repetitive tasks and processes and quickly automate them. Not having a Python expert involved who may or may not understand security is also a massive benefit for us; those resources are sometimes hard to find.

  ### 50. Tines is a fabulous piece of automation software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keenan M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Tines?**

The simplicity in being able to drag and drop elements to a story in order to quickly create actions that would otherwise take 3 or 4 times the amount of time to complete using anything else

**What do you dislike about Tines?**

There is limitations as to what Tines can do for example when pulling a file size you're currently limited to a 50MB limit.
Another downfall is stories only allowing for one entry and exit point when being used in other areas.

**What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time saving.
We currently use Tines for pulling a lot of reports from our products that would otherwise take a few hours to complete manually but can be ready for us first thing in the morning due to scheduling of tasks.
