"The experience with TIMI more specifically Anatella is very intuitive and powerful for us"
5/5
What do you like best about TIMi?

We are using Anatella to do some modification in our database and read a lot of data. On top of that it is user friendly for non IT people. Before choice it we compare Anatella with Alteryx and Pentaho and for us Anatella is the best solution Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TIMi?

I don't find something that I dislike on Anatella. in addition the owner of TIMI is super reactive in term of support. perhaps the front could be improve but it is acceptable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My go to tool for data processing and analysis"
5/5
What do you like best about TIMi?

1. Intuitive and visual for better efficiency: no need to code. You can intuitively design and follow the flow of data. This makes the whole process much less prone to errors and easier to debug

2. Fast and powerful : Can process huge amounts of data on an ordinary laptop

3. Designed for real world applications: I appreciated the fact that Anatella was clearly designed for data science partitioners in the real world and not only academia (and I say this as an academic). The predictive models fit very well with the ETL and pretty much all components needed for data processing and analysis are natively available.

4. The perfect “cognition amplifier” for data scientists: As a programmer, my experience is that data processing can become cumbersome when done exclusively with programming. The logic of the data flow is lost in the code and debugging becomes pretty tedious. Anatella fulfills perfectly this job while maintaining the clarity of the process. I would say, even for experienced programmers and Excel wizard and may be especially for them, Anatella has all its place in the data scientist toolbox. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TIMi?

It’s not possible to create components of components. When doing complex operations, it is essential to aggregate a whole sequence of components into an abstract and reusable piece (equivalent to subroutines in programming). It would help keep clarity and prevent the model from morphing into a messy spaghetti dataflow

The help is not detailed enough, and a repository of example model files would be helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It is very flexible and has many libraries for extracting and processing data."
5/5
What do you like best about TIMi?

The graphical interface is quite intuitive. It allows you to visualize the sequence of the project's statistical process and make branches to see results in parallel. It also has many functions to extract data from different platforms and to organize them. It is quite fast for the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TIMi?

The workspace is fine, but it is too free. It would be good to have cells where icons and alignment functions can be placed. On the other hand, important statistical data appears in the log, and its presentation should be improved, including the option for them to appear as icons in the workspace. Another important thing to improve is that it is not compatible with Macintosh. Some advanced statistical libraries are missing, which are quite used now in scientific research of non-experimental - correlational - explanatory design, such as structural equations with partial least squares. It would be good if there were "patches" or "upgrades" that added them complementarily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly optimized tool for data processing, predictive analysis and even data storage"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TIMi?

Timi can run on Linux and Windows, enabling us to develop on our windows laptop, and then run seamlessly in production on Linux. The data processing algorithms are optimized, use little RAM, and compress data effectively (we have over 300TB of compressed storage). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TIMi?

For intensive production use (we are running on 72 Cores server), the IO can be high. You have to use different types of disk to optimize IO. Data can be stored in RAID5 SAS disks, but to get the best, your temp directory should run on SSD to benefit the most of Timi's algorithms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great product, amazing functionnalities, easy to use and powerful"
5/5
What do you like best about TIMi?

Great number of connectors (input and output) in Anatella

Many out-of-the-shelves functionnalities (probably the highest number of functionnalities among all ETL's)

Unbeaten fuzzy matching capabilities (see https://tinyurl.com/585t8buj )

Easy approach to prediction Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TIMi?

Not much.

I wish the icons used may be sometimes more representative of the function itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Frank Vanden Berghen of TIMi

Hello Nicolas!

Many thanks for your kind review.

The occasional reader might be interested to know that your are processing, using Anatella, big JSON files with great success. If I remember correctly your last project involved a single JSON file that weights more than 3GB. You were able to import into Anatella, parse and extract all the required data from this 3GB JSON file in 15 seconds and using only 20MB RAM.

That's what I call performance! 😁

See you!

Frank

"Timi helps me streamline my work better"
5/5
What do you like best about TIMi?

What I like most of Timi is the ease of use and the great support from the company. I did not expect much when I was introduced to Timi, but now I am a big fan. You should give it a try. Anatella basically an ETL tool that you don't need to program, it is a visual tool. The nice thing about it is that you can debug how data is transformed step by step along the way. The documentation is very extensive including samples. Most of the features from the suite are added regularly, and the company listen to what you need. They even going further by adding more features when you ask or when you need it. The predictive model is awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TIMi?

Small community base that uses Timi, maybe a forum for its users can help others better.

Like any visual tools, you sometime have inefficiency, but this is not too bothering.

Sometime it crashes when it is busy and you try to save sometime and editing it. Sometime there is missing documentation on features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
