"Potent tool for building your DW"
4/5
What do you like best about timextender?

Ease of use and sure beats coding by hand by a mile. There are connectors to almost all the data sources you can think of. The customer service is excellent and the community is really active if you sould have any questions. There are guides and blogs on most topics and some really helpful videos on Youtube, though the frequency of new videos have dropped from weekly to about once a month.

There is free online training that covers most topics Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about timextender?

Quite a steep learning curve regarding the use of RSD-files (for transforming and mapping data from an API).

Code transfers from like Dev to Test can only be done for a total project, not part of a project. If there are several people working on separate parts of a project, all development should be "transfer ready" when transfering the code and all parts needs to be deployed in the new environment, otherwise you will probably have load errors.

No coding help besides SQL highlighting inside "coding boxes" like if you are creating a custom view. If you are used to tools like Redgate SQL Prompt, you are probably better off doing all the coding on the side and then doing a copy-paste. The same goes for the Query Tool for cheking data from inside the development environment. The Query Tool is quite rudamentory and can only be used for some quick checks of the data. "Faster ETL, cleaner data , sharper insights"
4.5/5
What do you like best about timextender?

The main selling point of TimeXtender is how easy it is to use and implement, particularly for acquiring and transforming data. A platform that would make it easy for me to connect to different data sources and streamline the entire data collection process would be ideal because it would save time and effort ,

Eliminating the labourious task of data wrangling would be revolutionary if intuitive tools clean and transform data with little to no coding.

it makes my data pipeline tasks easier so I use it frequently throughout the data analysis process.

Easy integration with current data ecosystem is essential since TimeXtender becomes even more valuable when it integrates well with the tools I already use.

Having dependable customer service available via several channels is beneficial since it offer a safety net for any queries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about timextender?

TimeXtender have sophisticated coding skills necessary for complex data transformation , despite its appealing user-friendly interface and efficient data acquistion , this pose a contraint for analysts handling complex datasets, the possible lack of transparency in data manipulation is a further cause of concern. "Beter and easy way for BI and Datamanagment"
4/5
What do you like best about timextender?

TimeXtender is a robust platform with excellent customer service and support, where help is readily available. This is a crucial aspect that every organization requires: swift interaction to address issues as they arise and help resolve them. With drag and drop functionality, numerous transformation mappings, and simplified data management and modeling, tasks become much easier. While improvements are continuously being made, any issues are promptly addressed and resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about timextender?

There's an excessive focus on cloud platforms and a constant stream of updates aimed at enhancing functionality. However, this also poses a drawback as users are required to conduct thorough checks with every update and essentially act as guinea pigs for all the changes made. I understand that in a complex environment like TimeXtender, with over 250 connections and drivers, updates are necessary. Nevertheless, I believe there's an overabundance of updates, making it seem as though the product is being developed by the users themselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
