These responsibilities are separated into areas where I often have objectives that have different priorities and require different levels of attention. In such a context, it is really important for me to be able to see where my time is going, so that I can make adjustments and manage my time more effectively. Timely has also been incredibly helpful for my personal life, as I have struggled with undiagnosed Attention Deficit Disorder most of my adult life. One of the hallmarks of untreated ADD is poor time management and a lack of clarity re: where your hours are going. Ease of integration is very easy. However, I can't say I love it. **What do you dislike about Timely?** New Timeline Interface: The new timeline, despite its increased accuracy, is cumbersome and difficult to use for logging time, leading me to avoid using it altogether. The new timeline can separate tasks but logging in it is unnecessarily complicated. Implementing a drag-and-drop method, similar to the old timeline, would significantly improve its usability. I have submitted feedback to the Timely team regarding the logging process but have not received any response, not sure if that is a customer support issue on their end or if they just don't respond to product feedback. Limited Benefits for Account Management: As an account manager, I do not see significant benefits from using Timely. It appears to be more suitable for Product teams or teams working on specific projects to track time. For a customer service department, Timely does not seem to be effective. Our constant multitasking makes it difficult for Timely to accurately track and log our activities. Time-Consuming Process: The process of logging time in Timely is often more time-consuming than beneficial. This detracts from the actual completion of tasks. **What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?** I genuinely wouldn't be able to tell you.... it was implemented by our company to use it but on a day to day basis for me as an account manager it's not solving anything just an inconvenience to log things everyday for the higher ups to analyze and see how we are spending out time. This allows me to then record billable time against multiple clients in a single day. For example, Timely will display that I worked 9am-10am on Client Document 1, and also display that I attended a Zoom meeting 2pm-3pm for another client. I can then assign these tasks to client projects to support my billing. **What do you dislike about Timely?** To provide a level of detail Timely needs to integrate with several apps like Outlook, Teams, web browsers, etc. With some clients I have an email account/calendar on their platform, and some of these clients do not allow me to share my calendar with external apps like Timely. You just do the job: use your productivity apps, attend online meetings, work with mail, etc. Timely will record it and in 90% of cases even show you the context in the time log: file names, apps and windows titles, meetings titles. Also Timely gives you an opportunity to plan your workdays ahead: you can easily add planned activities for each day and then just assign spent time to these tasks. And the reporting - it's simply beautiful and easy to browse and adjust your hours where needed. **What do you dislike about Timely?** Of course, Timely is not perfect, it utilizes AI and it needs to be trained and sometimes retrained according to your purposes. Sometimes you also have to resync your calendars to show the correct and up-to-date data, and I find it easier to work in the browser instead of the app provided. **What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's always a struggle for some people (like me) to track their efforts and time for projects on a daily basis. Most of us tend to leave this task to the weekends or, sometimes, even to the end of the month as during the working hours you are more devoted to delivering results. With Timely I can easily do the review each week to see what has been done, how much time I spent on the task or client's project and even see what hours were taken by distractions/procrastination. Now no more lost efforts, accurate timesheets and that's all with as little effort as possible. There is also a possibility of planning your efforts throughout the week and additional functionality of Tasks which allows to break-down your project into tasks or epics (only 1 level of tasks is allowed). But this still allows you to specify efforts for a certain task and assign spent time to a certain task to make sure you are still within the budget. It provides a clear overview of the projects and the users. Our clients are charged monthly for our services. The pricing is structured in two categories. Software costs and enforcement hours. Keeping track of how many hours we are logging on a client’s project is very important. It gives transparency towards our customers and it gives us insights into our performance; financially and operationally. Based on the data, we can identify bottlenecks and continuously find ways to make sure these are resolved. So for time tracking does Timely work perfectly for us. If you need support with anything in Timely they have an "In-app support". They are always quick to answer and give you professional, nice and knowledgeable treatment. **What do you dislike about Timely?** For us, it would be good if one project could have several start and stop dates with different hours. You can change the end date if you put in a date when you create the project, but for us, we do not have the end date when we create a new project and then you cannot change it later. You need to create a new project if the hours are changing. We would also like to be able to have more search opportunities for users. For example, be able to search for the users that have "Invite pending" (since we have over 500 users). But, these wishes have Timely received as feature requests. **What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?** Problems - see the answer above about the end date of a project and the search opportunities for users. Benefits - a clear overview of the projects and how many hours the analysts are logging on each project. We see all the rich features available that might apply to a large agency or client, but we can also pick and choose what works for us in our small to medium sized enterprise environmennt. On a more basic level, the Timely interface is simple and easy to understand. It looks great, is intuitive, and allows us to produce time reports for our clients with the appropriate level of detail based on our needs and their wishes. Even for a small practice like ours, the pricing is reasonable and we feel Timely is a good value. We've rarely had any issues but when they have occured the customer support is always friendly, thorough and prompt. When engaged in billable work we use it every day. **What do you dislike about Timely?** We've never had any significant issues with Timely in the more than five year's we've used the programs. Can't think of anything negative. **What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?** Other time tracking programs are too complex or feature-poor. We've tried ones that come free with programs like Quickbooks but keep coming back to Timely because of its reliability and ease of use. I love that the UX is simple and straigh forward. The implementation and unboarding of the team was a walk in the park with all the documentation and tutorial video provided by our representative. It's easy to navigate the plateform. Everytime I have an issue or a questions, I use the help option and get a quick answer from the customer service team. When I started using Timely it saved 20-30 minutes per day compared to my previous workflow, but still requires that dedicated roughly 30 minute sit-down to flag all the periods of working time by hand. I love knowing that Memory tracks my activity 24/7 so I don't have to remember to start or end tracking. The nature of my job requires me to multi-task across multiple platforms at the same time -- including out-of-browser applications like iMovie, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. -- and Timely really takes all the guessing out of how long each task has taken. **What do you dislike about Timely?** There have been two instances in the year that I've used the Memory plugin where it has unexpectedly crashed or stopped tracking my activity. I wish the icon on my desktop had a popup to notify me when this happens so that I can reconnect to Timely without missing out on any work. **What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?** Timely helps my employer with budgeting as it gives an accurate representation on how long designers and writers have spent on each client. ### 50.
