And if you happen to not get one on the call, call back, try someone else. Assume they have turnover , like we have all had. I also like that this system was not through our previous payroll company, I was not happy with them and knew it was a matter of time before we moved on. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** Each month, if there is any difference in active employees you will pay a full prorated subscription for the additional employee. The cut off is the 25th, but sometimes the 20th. This was inconvenient, but on me as I knew I had to be sure to inactivate people quick. However- the annual is the gut kicker. I was told by CSR after they got me first year, they charge you annually for all active EE to have a license for each. I was very good about updating this on time as they got me one time for 10 more licenses than I needed. They started charging the annual even earlier than they were supposed to. Reach out to AR, they refuse to make any changes to the rate. I cancelled this June and our service was up in August, they charged me an annual AGAIN- and even earlier than the last few years. I reached out to them immediatly and cc'd the most recent CSR rep that I had talked to, and it is now November, and I have not been credited, have not been given the instructions to return the clock that I had asked several times. I was just told that I did not give a 30 day notice from when they pulled my payment (I was 2 days short), however they charged the payment early. But I was 45 days before the end of my term. SO MY ADVICE- THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. STAY AWAY. THERE ARE SEVERAL SYSTEMS JUST AS GOOD AND IF YOU OPT TO LEAVE, THEY WILL LET YOU. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Able to track employees punches and flag punches or lack of punches outside schedule ### 13. TCP has a support staff willing to help us, as a client, whenever we need technical and/or end user support for the software. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** Even with support, whether you log a support ticket(online) or via their customer service phone support system, at times(as a client) we need to wait awhile to get a response back for assistance when dealing with a TCP software issue. I've had to wait for almost a business day's length in time, for a response back, to get support - at times. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's helping us track whose here, and who isn't, from a time management standpoint. As an organization, the TCP(300/400 Series) DP fingerprint technology being used here eliminates the potential for buddy punching between employees, etc. The time & attendance software tracking system is efficient and accurate. It equates into accurate payroll management on a weekly basis for us. ### 22. They are quick to answer and are willing to state they don't know, but will follow up, and they DO follow up! **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** While I understand it, my least favorite part of TCP is that I have to pay for each person that is using the software. It is a per person license fee. Since our staff flucuates frequently, it is akward making sure that I have enough licenses to cover the staff needs, and then at peak, adding licenses, signing updated contracts, etc. I DO appreciate that when peak is over, I am paying a lower amount, due to the fact I have a lower number of users. This is not a complaint, just my least favorite part. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our previous time and attendance system was an antique and our scheduling software was in a spreadsheet format that was not easily shared between managers. This software has given our managers the ability to schedule staff quickly and easily with the ability for staff to get their schedules almost instantly on the app. This makes for happier employees and managers, and due to the scheduler templates in TCP, our managers are saving quite a bit of time when creating their schedules. We have a few employees that work in multiple departments, and this software allows all managers to see the schedules of other departments, thereby allowing them to see available segments for their employees. Previous time off requests were slips of paper that could be easily lost or misplaced. Now there is a digital request, and answer, and our employees know when their time off request is approved. Managers also have a record of when the request was submitted, whether is was 2 months before the requested date, or just 2 days. ### 23. Was hoping for an English first team and we did not have that. Sometimes we had to figure things out for ourselves or push them to help us with things like Single Sign-On. Most of Support also seems to be off-shore. Sometimes the Support was still good, but communication is always challenging when there are language barriers. Had we known these things up front we would probably have gone a different direction. I was not around for the original implementation, but the customer service team has basically walked me through many of the processes that should have happened before. They can now change work orders (cost codes) via an app on their device quickly and keep their projects moving. The only way you can pad hours on TCP with geofence set up is you have to go to your home location to clock in then come back to clock out. That's too much of a hassle for our employees. We have multiple funding streams, and this software can accurately allocate time between single or multiple programs. We also love how easy it is for employees to view and request time off. And the very best part is a great customer support team. They are knowledgeable and the response time is fantastic. You can call slupport as frequenly as needed. Always the same day!! It has been easy to implement into our agency. It is easy to integrate with QuickBooks software. We utilize the dashboard daily to check who is signed in for work or missing. We are so thankful we found such a great product when we needed to move away for paper timekeeping. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** What I would like to see changed and improved is the "Weekly Close" option. We end our monthly pay period on the twentieth day of the month, which varies each month. And the system will only allow us to close at the end of the week. Which means that most months I am unable to close all the days for which I am processing payroll for. This has caused problems more than once for us. It also comes with many features such as reporting (scheduled and on-demand), scheduling, time and cost code configuration, allowing for custom fields to be added and included on reports, geofencing for mobile users, and auditing. My company has about 450 employees and supervisors using TCP every day. Because the system is extremely customizable, the administrator of the system can configure the system to be very easy to use. I started working with TCP in 2016 in version 6.0, then we moved to 7.0, and then to the cloud in 2023. TCP was very helpful with all of the implementations. Using the TCP 7.0 cloud version alleviates our past burden or checking for and applying system updates, which is a great feature. We are currently working with a TCP team to integrate TCP with my company's overall time and reporting system (Oracle). I have contacted customer support several times, and the TCP support staff have been very professional and helpful. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** Because the system is so customizable, it can be difficult to manage, if you don't know what you're doing. I have been the administrator of the system for several years, and I find the administrative-type documentation onhow to configure the system, along with what some of the configuration settings mean or do, to be greatly lacking. Many of TCP's features intertwine, so if you change one setting somewhere you might be inadvertently affecting another feature somewhere else. Also, many features involve multiple settings that must be set in order for the feature to work correctly (i.e., setting up leave request notifications, etc.) I am the administrator of the system, and often times I have to extract specific information from the system that is not included on a canned report or via the Export feature, like reports that list "override" settings, the employees contained in employee filters (for all filters in a single report), autobreak settings, or a means of comparing Employee and User Role settings. With our TCP 6.0 on-site system, I could get almost any piece of data I needed via an ODBC to the database; however, with the cloud version, there is no API, so I can no longer extract special, administrative-type information. Although TCP has many features, a couple of feature that is missing are a way to prevent leave request messages from being displayed at the clock and a way to customize the "Subject" in a leave request notification email. I also find the TCP support web site difficult to use; even if I select "TimeClock Plus" as the product, when I search for something, the system may return results for a different software platform. This is very frustrating. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** TCP provides my company with a flexible time collection and reporting system. TCP allows employees to clock in in various ways: clock, computer (via web interface) and mobile. Because it is highly customizable, it is able to capture the various settings used by each department. ### 49. Our furniture store uses only a small part of it at this time. It is very easy to use after training with their very helpful and knowledgeable support staff. We use their electronic timeclock to clock in & out with the encoded fingerprint option. We only use a few of the numerous reports for our payrolls. The support staff helped us with setup and integration with our payroll program. Our hourly employees easily clock in and out daily for biweekly pay periods. I like that there is a mobile app that provides ease of access to those not at a desk. When I am stumped on an issue, I like being able to access the knowledge based help guides that include screen shots. When reaching out for help, I love having the chat capability. Overall, it is a fairly robust system. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** The main issue that I have is when I do have to reach out to the help call center, I usually am working with someone that does not know how to answer my questions very quickly. Sometimes it may take several calls to speak to several different reps before I get to someone that understands what I am needing. This alleviates manual paper timesheets. It helps to ensure that both employee and supervisor agree on the time keyed in to the system.
